First time as an Aussie hearing the spotter, that is so interesting to hear! So much input and you can see how critical it is. Great job and so close there.
i promise you the spotter’s get as much credit and the cameramen do and that’s always 0 to none 🫤 and it’s a damn shame too because they always think it’s the “crew chief” like they don’t do a damn thing they aren’t the one’s up 100+ feet above everybody helping guide a driver for at most 5-6 hours 🥹 they truly are superhero’s of nascar
A awesome race their Shane, even though that you are a Kiwi, we here in Australia are always barracking for you, especially the change from the V8 Supercars right from here in Oz. As right here in Australia and from your home country New Zealand we are all proud of you, and you are doing a awesome job behind the wheel, and we All miss you. And have a awesome time in the United States of America, and just show them all over their on what that you are made of, regardless of where that you come within NASCAR, we are all behind you and so proud of you 👍😎👍🇦🇺🇳🇿🇨🇦🇺🇸, just bring home them trophies.
No problem! Initially I was annoyed that everyone bailed on him when he was moving up towards the end. However, he probably would’ve been caught up had he did. Good stable run for him.
@@TEMPLE7D He was getting some serious pushes in those last few laps. When the car cut across in front of him he had to back of the throttle and then he was left in the dust. Like you said might have been a good thing in the end. Doesn't get any points for Cup placings anyway so just a great learning experience for him.
Wow, this is awesome! I didn't realize the spotter has so much comms with the driver. It's like SVG is the pilot and his spotter is the navigatior. Also, it sounds like Shane's foot is flat to the floor. I never cared much for NASCAR, but this shows how hard and technical the racing is, especially how he was moving forward only to get blocked then went back. Thanks so much for the upload!
Man, I liked watching this video more than the actual race! So much to unpack here! Very interesting to see all those laps from 1 point of view. Especially shane's, being his first super speedway race. I love how you could almost hear when he got in and out of the draft. Loved all of the communication between him and his spotter, crazy to see the changes in momentum in different lines. Scary to see how shaky the wheel gets when someone is pushing you. I hated to see how much momentum he lost when KB drove up in front of him. It sucked that he was so far behind at the finish, but maybe fortunate to have avoided that wreck. Can't wait to see him drive again! Shane, if you see this, I'm a fan!
How frustrating watching your race disappear so quickly. Great job Shane keeping out of trouble and interesting calling for the duration. I remember Shane talking about the calling in earlier interviews.
I'd say he's learning real fast, the guy is so unlucky atm as well, SVG is the complete package without any luck atm. Fantastic race footage with our boy getting it done....To the spotter, you're awesome man, cool job.
Shane was on his way to a top ten on an oval when Gibbs pulled out in front of him and killed that whole third lane. Such a shame coz SVG was fantastic all weekend.
I could be bummed out that Gizz didn’t win, but I’m so proud that he even came close to having a shot at winning the Talladega 500 on his first attempt!!! It’s only the beginning for SVG.
Oh yeah, without a doubt. This guy is golden. Watch him thrive even more at the next Talladega race in a few months. Especially, now that he has more Superspeedway experience.
@@RacingFanForLife19that’s the thing 😅 it’s only during the race like it’s live-streamed onto the website and you just have to be lucky enough to have it recorded or record as much of it as you can without taking up every gb of space
Right correct me if I’m wrong but from this view it looked like he was getting a push from behind but didn’t push the 8. If you don’t push you get left, end of
No way. Gibbs just pulled out in front of him when he was mid run and slowed everyone down so much it killed the whole line. Gibbs didn’t have the speed to do it.
@@TEMPLE7Dyou know what really gets me the most pissed about that? it’s that if there weren’t race fans like us who actually had it on a particular driver (like ryan preece or corey) footage of those onboards would have never existed 🥲 or in the extended version that they are like it’s sad that you have to be there to record it RIGHT when it happens and not after the race
It’s a constant source of information coming from the radio, sounds a bit like a rally navigator Supercars are kidding themselves, this is proper speed.
On his march forward, seems like they pulled in front of him deliberately to slow him up and stop his advance...... looks like he has yet to still make allies!
Yeah. I couldn’t stand him when he was winning all the time in Supercars. Now that he really has to try hard to get to the front I respect him more than ever.

Gives me chills seeing him pass all those cars. This sport is beautiful
god it’s such a beautiful sight seeing it all through the perspective of the car 🤩 it truly does make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Great job shane !!!!!! They bailed on you , that's " plate" racing , I'm proud of you , and I'm a big fan of yours ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That audio is amazing!! Thank you.

Hey Shane man you are good have watched you race for a long time, you make me so proud too be a kiwi
Thanks for this man. Awesome angle to see it from
Awesome footage ,, Cheers from NZ 🙂
Thanks for the great footage. Loved it! I just wished the camera could capture the steering wheel better to see how much work goes into it.

That was awesome to watch, high speed chess! Good driving SVG, Wendy’s car looked fast, great work from the spotter too! 😎😎👍
Incredible how he’s adapted to this racing. To bring it back in one piece on the lead lap at Talladega? Coooome ooon mate let’s go!
Awesome race, hung in there, led some laps, just had that move at the end killed
That was fascinating to watch, many thanks for posting it.
SVG wreck avoidance should be shown to ARCA drivers how to avoid crashes when you end up in the back
if only you knew what shame had to go through when he was forced to do that arca race at daytona 😣
@sundaxe10 he did get involved which suckd but he just showed you can let off going through a wreck
Not exactly Bathurst though, is it?
Cool vid, love the audio, cheers from NZ.

Good to see a commonwealth racer as a Canadian I am happy.
Yes,hes representing us Southern Hemispherians very well.

No one is going to help him when he's not racing for points
Wouldn’t it make sense to work with him and take points off others?
@@NateGravy123-kp5ou They all have teammates racing for points
For a rookie that was amazing. Right team & he's going to be a force.
He’ll be inside of victory lane soon without a doubt.
Nice footage!!

Love seeing all the Aussies and New Zealanders watching NASCAR because of SVG!
WoW white knuckle racing fast and close, keep cool bro its just how the cookie crumbles 😆
I appreciate it must be super hard racing but it also looks a bit like traffic on the M1 into Sydney at the end of school holidays.
nice video how i can watch hole race in onboard mode like that thank
At the nascar/drive website.

hardest thing about driving these cars appears to be getting out of them...
Awesome!!! Hail from Hungary!!!
Hope you enjoyed 😌. Thanks for your support.

It’s crazy how quiet it gets once they stop driving 😂
i hate that people weren't working with him

wow riding the push is very cool to cee - go the kiwi
How do you get these in car views with the spotters synced up? Edit: oh it’s just NASCARs Drive on their site? Haha. I have never used it.
That’s correct. It’s there for all to use. Though of course, after the race is over. The footage is archived.
