I guess I would invent a machine which is able to make people truly analyze themselves : when you truly face yourself you have no choice but to know and work on yourself. Knowledge leads to open minded spirit and better people, I think.
I would most definetely invent app with which you can scan yourself and others and it could read all data about your body. Like, what's wrong, what you could work on more, what vitamins to eat and all that. And I would ise it daily on my loved ones because my dog died with no warning out of heart attack in 30 min.

6 years later: most of these "inventions" are normal parts of mundane daily life.
