I assembled a sixaxis controller once. Putting the back on without the l and r doing something like falling off is quite literally the most stressful thing I have ever done in my entire life. And I've tried playing dark souls without taking damage.
I thought I broke the devider between r1/r1 and mirrored trying to open it lol just put it back together after almost 4 hours of work trying to put in the devider and r1 and r2 kept getting put out of place This has had to be the WORST 4 hours spent ever
I stupidly decided to try and do this as I wanted to replace my joysticks, most frustrating thing I've ever done I have to say :/ I had to hold myself back multiple times from launching the controller against the wall, safe to say it's now been shoved into a drawer and I'm now waiting for a new controller off eBay to arrive :(
5:14, you can see it dropping into the pot from the D pad. It is a support bar for that, and should only go in 1 way. it goes between the pad control buttons and the rubber membrane
My reset button fell off the board, I don't have a soldering machine so I can't put it back Is it too bad if I just don't put and assemble the controller like nothing happened?
Just reassembled my dual shock 3. This is one of the most annoying things i've done in a long time. It was a old and used controller that never been cleaned and it was in bad condition. Im glad i cleaned it, but it was so annoying and tedious. The bumpers and triggers were intimidating but not to bad, but they loved popping out. struggled with the module that holds them too. everything seemed easy until i tried to put the back case back on and realized something wasn't aligned, or something was in the way. after multiple trial and errors of undoing everything and redoing it, eventually something snapped and everything was aligned. process sucked and its debatable if it was worth it or not but my buttons feel nice now so..
I have a lot of dualshock 3. All of them died because of 2 reasons: 1) the connection between the motherboard and the thin plastic printed board for the keys became loose and needed more pressure to hold them 2) the plastic printed board got corroded at the same spot, just at slight left spot beside the select button.
I took a picture for myself, when I opened my second one, having the same problem of not knowing how it fit. It goes: D-buttons in holes, 3-prong, white pad, etc. (Still can’t get the damn back on though. Those shoulder pieces…) drive.google.com/file/d/1D_oG5qLEC0T6JpY_dUTilPWH2HwVaJC8/view?usp=drivesdk
is it just me or are the insides of these same types of controllers different? ive watched a few tutorials and there seems to be a slightly different build. anyways...no one on all of effing TH-cam can show me how to effing put the effing ribbons back underneath the number 1 and 2 buttons...everyones so called disassembly show you the buttons still attached to the ribbons...how is that a disassembly? i need to know how to properly put the ribbons back successfully under my 1 and 2 buttons.
Man I struggled for an hour last night trying to put the damn L1/R1/L2/R2 triggers back on. Those little plastic adapters between the 1/2 sticks is so annoying! Any additional tips to get mine to fit back in?
I know it's 2 years too late but throughout the video I was getting annoyed you didn't know the ps3 controllers require a specific current before the charging kicks in. A PS3 consoles USB ports and official Sony charge dock does this ^^
This is by far the most frustrating thing I have ever done. I'm just chucking it out and buying a new one because no matter what I do the more I try and fix it the more it breaks. Fuck me.
The left joysticks "center bit spinning" 0:41 is by no means cause for repair. Most pf them came fresh out of the box like that. The right one never does, but the left one is actually a control feature on some knock off game system controllers. I was about to throw a racing game against the wall for not being able to turn the car until I accidently turned the left center cap and the car turned just fine.
I would rather pay $20 on eBay for a refurbished one than to put myself through such torture 😂 I tried this several times and each time I almost destroyed my PS3 controller. 🎮 Know your limits Gents...
Took the back off to replace the battery and one of the trigger assembly's came off at the same time. Was hoping to find a video showing a quick and easy way to reattach it as getting the ribbon back on it being an utter utter utter swine. I don't think such a video exists for that very reason. Otherwise good video.
Man these are horrible to work on, putting the back casing back on over the shoulder buttons is a nightmare they hardly align and then when they do they just rip the bottom triggers off, not a fun time!

This has had to be the WORST 4 hours spent ever
mine has the rumble things around the handles which makes it harder to take off the board
You fast forwarded the final reconstruction! I was watching like a hawk to see where the plastic bit with 3 prongs goes. What did you do with it?
it goes behind the D pad.
Me too
Me too still don’t know how it fits. This is like the 4th tutorial that breezed right by it.
Same! that's all I was here for. What a shit video

@Roland if a original controller is new it should be more than 108$
man you could still re-try one day! You can do it! It'll feel nice the day you finally do!
@@PiesZdzislaw why so expensive?
@@DKG_4747 maybe because there is a small amount of the new original controllers so it has to be that expensive.
Same xD
how do you put the trigger housing in??????
the 3 prong piece disappeared at 20:20? didnt need it ? need to know where it goes on the D pad ?

@@R_T_Ralph i still can’t figure out how that piece is supposed to go!!!!
@@citlallyperez2294 it fits between the D-pad and the rubber membrane behind it. makes the D pad controller a bit more stiff and strengthens it.
@@R_T_Ralph the prongs are supposed to be left-right-down?
@@MilosnikPiwa he probably doesn't know. Just shove it in there i suppose.

Man those shoulder buttons are frustrating to put back together
The middle piece between shoulder 1 and shoulder 2 is Satan incarnate

Skipped the part replacing the little piece for the d pad😫
That's exactly what I'm looking for...

Yeah really annoying
How to put back triggers and l1 r1
carefully
Nice, watched the video and tought he did that so easily. I threw it in the garbabe can 🙂

just patience. They can be fitted when nearly completely assembled, but you could break off the small tabs.

is it safe for someone who has never disassembled a controller to try this? i just got my second hand sixaxis that i want to clean
its not too difficult.
I wish this video was more concise and to the point smh
so do i
video shows what it has to
Thanks friend, so com seu video descobri onde vai uma peça

not sure, but its old and dirty.

Purposely skipped the dpad three prong thingy. 🤦🏼♀️
It had been mentioned before.
Bro you cut out the part I needed to know where it went
The little 3 pronged plastic piece on the D-pad? Same here.
Why even make a video like this if he's actually skipping steps? So fucking stupid lmao
can i assume you mean the cross piece?
that goes behind the joypad to strengthen it.
This is an old video for me.
