mix it with or put eco complete on top of seachem flourite red, this combo has been really good for me. You could use the Dark version too if you need to keep the entire sub blackened.
Can you top soft sand with eco complete? I have eco complete as base at the moment and I want to add some kuhli loaches. However I read somewhere that they like soft sand better bc eco complete is pretty sharp

4:13 she literally says you can use other substrates on top or even mixed together.
I've had loaches in my tanks for years with eco complete and they are doing great. 6 years and no issues
Once I place a substrate in, can I control it with pH down?
