- Here's something interesting. The 1995 screener copy of Tales from the Hood for the retailers. I own nothing; rights belong to HBO and Universal Studios. In order:
1. Legal Warning screen
2. HBO Home Video "Coming Attractions" bumper.
3. Tales from the Hood retailer trailer.
4. HBO Savoy Video logo and Feature Presentation screen
5. Savoy Pictures logo
i still have nightmares from this movie. especially of Martin Moorehouse and the ending.
I seen it when it came out in California. My gf seen it for the 1st time & she was scared at the ending. She didn't see it coming especially the devil part, she turned her face away from the tv
me too that zombie nigga Martin Moorehouse creeps me out
Yeah that still creeps me out till this day
I did have nightmares since I watched this movie on TV I was kid
Who would've thought that a movie based on comedy could actually be scarier than the scariest horror movie.
+Mansa Akhenaten
Indeed but was a serious horror film no doubt and did you think Hardcore Convert was a difficult to watch story as it was disturbing as hell even with the montage of killings and some real life photos of KKK murders/old snuff pics in it? that story is quite Martyrs-esque
Yes, definitely.
+Johnlindsey289 snuff pics??? in this movie where? I seen it alot this movie but haven't notice
The film was never funny.
This film wasn’t meant to be funny
This movie is underrated
One of my favorite movies of ALL time! It is a conscious horror movie, that makes you think.
Vhs version gives it an even more gritty look to it.
So many memories with this film
Mommy what's a VHS?
TampaOutlaw mommy, what was the internet?
Great movie, saw this in theaters when i was 13 and loved it and it's on par with Creepshow 1 and 2, Tales from the darkside the movie, Cat's Eye, Trilogy of Terror and other great anthology horror films.
Glad it came to bluray as it was day one purchase.
why didn't Tales from the Hood didn't win a oscar it should've dammit
An explosion happens at 1:52, and I love Savoy Pictures. I want it to come back.
I love the movie and soundtrack for it watched it all the time
Me too
They should of put Candy man in the movie lol that would of been incredible
Or Zakes Mokae (Serpent and the Rainbow)
Tony Todd (who played Candyman) is going to be in the third movie. So there’s that.
Even though he's in the third movie, I feel like there was a huge missed opportunity to make him the next Mr. Simms
That would have been fucking dumb
even the names are creepy you have Clarence Williams and moorehouse etc like really??? those ain't no damn normal now
SweetCherries it's just a movie
I am 21 years old I remember lil bits of this movie
Douglas Mcintyre fashow
anyone else notice an alternate shot at the 1:40 mark. wonder what other mysteries there are. this movie needs a special edition release.
It was for the trailer only. probably an unused extra they threw in & edited the background.
I like stuff like this.
God the good ole days of screeners ....kid will have no idea what it was like
I used to think for the longest time that this had something to do with Tales From The Crypt. I found out a year and a half ago that it didn't.
It kinda does. Go watch tales from the crypt 1972
man I used to get so scare wen I was little, lol
Same here too
They fucked up on the sequel! 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️
The murder of George Floyd reminded me of this movie😩💔
this movie scary
+Zaymoney Wadup nah its funny
i still wouldn't watch it at night by myself
I will always love this movie. Memories
In my theory Clarence suffered a psychological breakdown from his inner guilt over the three on one police gang beating of Moorehouse at the hands of Strom, Newton and Billy, two of the three whom killed Moorehouse that night by injecting him with heroin, planting coke in the trunk of his car to frame Moorehouse as a corrupt politician that was a civil rights activist, city councilman and crusader against police corruption that was dealing and abusing drugs which was a lie. Rather than report the beating and testifying against his former colleagues to bring Moorehouse justice Clarence quit the force and allowed the three dirty cops to get away with murdering Moorehouse and destroying his reputation and name. Clarence went insane from the guilt over Moorehouse's murder, heard Moorehouse's voice commanding Clarence deliver the dirty LAPD officers to his gravesite, most likely ambushed and shot the three officers in the cemetery and suffered an insanity induced hallucination that Moorehouse came back from beyond the grave as a zombie and killed Strom, Newton and Billy. Clarence was institutionalized and presumably committed suicide in the institution, which along with Clarence not doing the right thing by testifying against the dirty cops for beating and killing Moorehouse is why Clarence went to Hell. The scenario of Moorehouse reanimating himself as an undead corpse to kill the officers was all a psychological hallucination in Clarence's demented, guilt ridden, drunken mind.
I love that 1 song that they play my favorite movie
That guy looks like ELIJAH PRICE from UNBREAKABLE.
Maybe that's Quentin Tarantino's influence.
I think M. Night shamylan directed unbreakable
This needs to be on HBO Go
This was awesome. It would be awesome if you were able to upload the full screener. I love the VHS quality.
