If im being honest, the concept of these shows arent cringe themselves. Bringing all your favorite characters together to compete in a bfdi esque show is very fun, and I cant blame them for wanting to do it. But to the short challenges that never display characters personalities, the unfair mechanics and penalties, awful character designs due to the limitations of goanimate, and the laziness of the videos is what really drags it down.
yeah you get it!!! i've always loved the "reality game show" concept, and to me those kinds of shows are very creative and entertaining, so because of that i don't entirely hate character elimination. that, and i used to watch a lot of character elimination videos when i was 9-11, now i watch these compilations sometimes for nostalgia and the feeling of "wow how did i find this entertaining??"
the people making these are just kids (or at least i hope they are?) so i imagine they're just taking notes from whatever object show they like and the other character elimination videos they see. but it's still extremely monotonous. it's like they're all scared to think outside the box.
@@spaghettifacethey are just following the quickest method. CE’s are almost a glorified character poll. Thats why I write my total drama/reality show inspired stuff instead of go-animating it. I made a season myself (on goanimate, not writing )It is VERY draining because go animate is extremely boring to work with and I quickly lost motivation.
(Weirdly enough almost everyone ik in that community is over 18 aswell.)

Here's the biggest lesson to learn about these half-assed elimination shows... They're ALL the same.
Okay, I may have missed the premiere for this video but glad to know it's finally here lol! And like the last one, I'll explain my thoughts on different parts of each video.

6:53 Reminds me of the time I had Po in my CE, and she was only a still image for the first 3 episodes (using images from the Five Nights at Tubbyland series rather than the show itself) until I made a Comedy World avatar for her and some of the others... which at the time sucked ass. I made new Teletubby designs once I got back into GoAnimate towards the beginning of the new year.
7:15 Okay, the way Dark Kirby (what's with all these unnecessary dark/evil clones?) was thrown into the TLC was semi-impressive than some other CEs out there. Not entirely but still. (Also is that Mortal Kombat music in the background? Sounds like it)

Character Eliminations are like Survivor/Total Drama but way worse, most of the time, there are no character interactions and no meaningful plots, most of the challenges are only 30 seconds long and contain of a character doing something bad, and usually ends up with them getting penalties, which ruins the whole point of viewer voting. Like if a character’s just gonna get eliminated why not do contestant voting? Also it’s usually pre-school show characters troublemaking. Most of these characters are also minors and they depict them getting tortured or doing crimes. There are a few exceptions in which there are good character eliminations which are more like Survivor/Total Drama like Vyond Survivor and Go!City Elimination. Overall, most of these videos are bad and you should go watch Survivor or Total Drama instead, they are way better.
You forgot about BFDI. That show is what most Character Eliminations are usually based off of.
I agree, these dumb go kids are super lazy, and barely put an effort into their videos.
I had a hardcore Total Drama phase when I was 11 and my parents hated the show. I do not want to look at anything Total Drama ever again.

I watched the L Ryan one as it was being released and the fucking Islanders logo inspired me to put the Oilers logo in my version of CE. Unsurprisingly it didn't last long. I also used free trials, png images (probably with white backgrounds still) and of course, Bandicam. Thought mine was so good because I didn't use penalties (I even did a penalty fakeout once) and had relatively original challenges but it was still really bad. Wish I could somehow find the videos but the channel they were on got deleted like 8 years ago

Wolfaliceinchains funny story about L Ryan. One of his videos pissed a student off in my class.
Long story short, I was watching one of his videos in 2nd grade on one the school computers(so around 2015-2016) of one of his plan videos and this girl gets mad thinking chica from FNAF was going to be an intern or something that a creator didn’t like. Which sorta shows how much the word “intern” is used incorrectly.
You know? Half a decade has passed and I am so happy to have quitted the GoAnimate community for good, as you can tell making that final decision for myself had such a positive and cathartic impact for my life in general. It finally let me be the person I actually want to be without being dictated and gaslighted by other people when it comes to their opinions on certain media, which they have little to no originality and are only based on what someone in the community says, with kids and teens trying to be edgy and "mature", but failing. I feel more free to express my opinions on certain media without being judged or prejudiced by many.

The worst aspect of character eliminations to me is the character selection. The fact that all of the characters who work together are from entirely different mediums is more jarring than it has any right to be (seriously, what the hell is Jotaro Kujo doing with two characters from Boobah, a preschool show?) This and Pooh's Adventures are just shit excuses for unrelated characters to have a crossover with each other.
I actually did mention Pooh's Adventures in a future review I'm making

All of the videos on here are cancerous asf. I'd rather watch Goanimate: The Movie than any of those videos listed in the cringe comp..
Also, ain't the majority of the CE "community" around 16-21 years old
