I've heard a few stories about Mrs Wayans over the years and she was one smart cookie! I think she outsmarted all her highly accomplished kids. Totally admire her.
As a latino growing up in Chicago, growing up all me and my friends humor came from the Wayans family. Our favorite movies, shows, all of that. I just say that to say their impact is really real. Its crazy how underrated they are.
I love the Wayans family for many years going back to the 90's. I've always enjoyed whatever they put out. But Marlon has always been my all-time favorite of the crew for many different reasons. So, I feel what he says and can definitely relate to his experiences on life changes and the darkness of losing someone so close to you and going through it. It's called life trials and tribulations. I have so much respect for him for keeping it real and on the up n up because at the end of the day, we're all human with the same experiences and emotions no matter if you're a well-known celebrity or simply a unknown person living your life.
My deepest respect for you and your family. You guys have an outstanding family history. You have worked hard to be where you're at. Not everything is peaches and cream, but you were able to rise above all. Thank you for years of laughter. 🎉🎉🎉
I do understand Marlon feeling. I lost my son of cancer at the age of 39. I Lost my sister of lung cancer. I lost my oldest brother who was my best friend. Three years ago when no one had light we found my brother in his room frozen. In 2024 my baby brother age 54 died of prostate cancer. I will never forget on December 23 3023 my call me to take him to the hospital. We was thinking he just had the flu. Me and my brother was told on December 23 2023 that the cancer had spreaded an there wasn't anything the hospital could do. So Marlon I know how you was feeling. God bless you
May GOD heal your wounds and that of your family and bless you with peace that surpasses all understanding that even through the pain we know of a FATHER who hears and knows your pain and will keep you in the palm of HIS HAND
I don't know if you're religious you're familiar with the Bible but I wanted to share one of my favorite stories from the Bible. The story of Job. And what people don't realize is that God and the devil have an agreement that they cannot personally interfere with a human's life so if somebody sees that we're going to get hit by bus God can't just reach down and pick the bus up or move us out of the way because that would be direct interference oh my God does not save people that's why we rely on Jesus to do that but that's a different story now God said devil the job was his most devout follower that he would never lose his faith in the devil asked if you wanted to make a bet? So God agreed they turned job's crops Ash they killed all of his life stuck systematically every one of his nine children died his wife was turned into a pillar of salt for his very eyes he was covered in lesions and boils he developed a limp and he still had faith! there was nothing more, short of taking the man's life that the devil could do. When asked how he still had faith he said because the things that he had the people that he loved were all in a better place he would see them again one day but it almost have been for a reason and who is he to question God. Devil was furious because he lost the bets and she lived up to his wager that he put down he put everything back in job's life granted it was in heaven but I don't think that he cared just know that is why we read the Bible it's not to see some fairy tales from back in the day it's so we can try and draw strength to our personal experiences through these fairy tales now do I know if these things happened I don't know do I like the stories yes I've used them myself to give me strength I just want you to know that no matter what you're not alone there is at least two people three if you want to count a holy Spirit we won't go into semantics God is always listening in Jesus is in your heart that man died for you and if you like that or not there's physical proof he existed so he sacrificed himself for you for your family and I guarantee you they are reaping rewards of jesus's sacrifice. I pray it is true, I hope it in my heart. I tell you this with tears in my eyes. I only have one living family member on both my mother and father's side of the family and I had two dads (three if you count the adopted dad). I have no one left. there isn't enough space to type out all the people that I have lost. I know your pain but take small comfort in knowing that this is just a test. I don't have to know you to love you.
Growing up poor, making a meal outta nothing....back in the days. Syrup sandwiches, mayonnaise sandwiches, ketchup sandwiches, just bread sometimes and we've made it to today. Family is everything and losing any part of it is devastaing in many ways. However, it's a part of the cycle of Life. I'm still trying to come to terms with the reality of it myself. I'm so proud of the Wayans family and their accomplishments. For Marlon, I pray for continued strength, joyful memories and happiness with each and every new addition to his beautiful family.

Yes, when you lose your parents, it’s a reoccurring pain no matter how old you get. I’m 63. I lost my dad when I was nine and my mother when I was 34. I cry and I am sad from time to time and it’s been a very long time since they’ve passed. When a part of your heart passes away with them. Crying is OK no matter how long it’s been. ❤️
I lost my Mom less than a year ago and not a minute goes by I don’t miss even the things we disagreed on. Even the arguments I miss because at least she was still here. It took me 8 months through therapy and meds to keep me from crying all day and every day. I didn’t think it was going to hit this hard. My Mom was my mother AND father to me. It’s always been her and I and not even our family have been around. She left them behind when I was 6 to live a better life outside of the small town she grew up in. I’m trying to make it without her and be half as strong as she was to make her proud of her only baby (which I was to her even as old as I am).
I love the WAYANS FAMILY so much was going on with violence and food stamps in the the 90s watching them got me through it SALUTE TO THE WAYANS FAMILY👑🗽🙌🏾✊🏾🎤💙💯

I just thought he was the postman, and he delivered "messages" pointing out the message in key scenes. I just remembered that in Hollywood Shuffle, the main theme was to not sell out your dignity for money, and there's always work at the POST OFFICE. I've seen the movie a million times and never made the connection to Hollywood Shuffle. Genius, man.
Such a hard-working and talented family that created their own projects - what an amazing example and inspiration for others. It's been a while since Marlon and my sister were both at Howard University, and since I saw Shawn's hilarious stand-up comedy at Zanies comedy club in Vernon Hills, IL in 1998. I still have a picture of the two of us. My condolences on the loss of your parents. I just lost my parents 6 months apart. The pain is horrendous.

Marlon, Shawn, Damon, Kim and Keenan Wayans ALWAYS seemed to have such a BEAUTIFUL and positive energy surrounding them. People like that you never want to see hurting either physically or emotionally. That is the reminder that you all are STILL HUMAN. I/We forget that sometimes. Thanks for being the GREAT PEOPLE that you are. We need these role models for the younger generations AND UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wayans are the Jacksons of comedy. They created so many classics and kisses😂🤣😂 They made their parents proud for sure. I also have mad respect for them for creating so much on their own terms and I believe that is why they were so successful. Keenan will always be my favorite though.
That's 💯 true. Losing a parent(s) is when a lot of grown children actually grow up. Instead of crying they're gone be grateful , there's so many things to be grateful for.....they lived a full life, loved ones were able to lay them to rest there departure wasn't due to foul play. Etc, etc etc.
Sorry for your loss of your mom well for consolation my mom has been gone for thirty years and yes it hurt the bottom line as long as you did right by them it's not really a loss just a void of a physical presence in their spirits and not the old grand dad so put bottle down but any way stop the tears when you cry they cry now if you want to try smiling and tell them thank you for letting me be their life remember this somebody will grieving you and by way cry needed😊

The reason "WE" can't/shouldn't wear dresses no matter what the reason. Is because we are the Heavenly Father's chosen people and it's a commandment. Who cares why or if the other nations do it. The Bible tells "US" not to learn the ways of the heathens. And like any hardheaded child, you can't wait to do exactly what your Father told you not to do. We don't seem to understand that when we commit sin it not only affects you but us as a whole body. Stop just seeing yourself when you look in the mirror. See us all.

The Wayans are the Jacksons of comedy. They created so many classics and kisses😂🤣😂 They made their parents proud for sure. I also have mad respect for them for creating so much on their own terms and I believe that is why they were so successful. Keenan will always be my favorite though.
My family and I use to call the mayonnaise sandwiches ambulance sandwiches because you can get it in a hurry. 😁
Man!!! The lethal weapon series was so good!!
The Wayans Are A Very 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Family ❤👏🏽👏👏🏻✨💯
Video title was misleading but I've always loved the Wayans family...In Living Color was my fav as a child
Love the Wayans family.❤❤❤
The older you get, the more people you loose, you can let it pull you down, or it can pick you up. Memories
You did a great job bringing the Wayans back to light! I look forward to your other videos
My mom passed away in 2020 from breast cancer. I miss her a lot

I remember eating sugar sandwiches, talk about hard to hold! 😂😂😂😂
Girl, I thought my brother was the only one to eat sugar sandwiches. He used to mash the bread together as tight as possible. We can Lol! about it now.

Family death is hard to deal with when you're black ! People say get over it but you can't 😢.
My mom was 42 when she passed away and I spiraled I didn't care about anything and all I felt was sorrow and loss. Til this day I'm broken.
I've always masked the pain of my childhood with my sense of humor but most comidens have a dark past

You left out The 6th Man smh! Probably my favorite film from Marlon on a drama/comedy level
See us all.
I remember wish sandwiches. Wonder bread and mayo. Wish you had something to put on it
May Your Grief Be Shorter Than Your Laughter.
I lost my father 2 years ago, while me and my wife was on our honeymoon
Katt right no man need to be wearing dresses.
God bless them 😂😂😂😂😂
Don't look at me, wipe your tears, look away and mind your business
