Goodday Petrus, I value your input in our beloved St. Lucia. Since I was a 6 year old child we fished at that beloved place. Grunter, Perch, Sammon , Shad and Cob were our regular catches. We hired an Alum tub from the Parks board and a 5 hp. motor and caught enough to eat. The more you as a person are given in life the more you as anindividual are going to be judged. Blessings I admire your efforts to save our beloved estuary. Cheers.
Well done Petrus on your continued effort to bring the truth of the St. Lucia estuary disaster to the public. I'm not one to write comments as it is always just an opinion which is not possible to debate with the public, but feel this disaster needs to be viewed by as many people as possible. I have lived in the St Lucia area for 64yrs and seen it's glory days of a functional estuary to it's demise of today and deteriorating with each summer rainfall season, this thanks to the previous management team of Isimangaliso Wetland Park. Unfortunately the new management team seem to be running with the same ball which is destroying there now fresh water lake as it is no longer an estuary. Every time the Umfolozi river flows strongly millions of tons of silt is deposited into the lake due to the Umfolozi been diverted into the estuary. The previous management and there advisers (scientists, marine experts, etc.) who they chose very selectively should be hanging there heads in shame with the legacy they have created and left behind. We all wait with bated breath for the honourable ministers announcement on the 19th April on another group of experts advice and pray logic has prevailed. To the present management please pick up a new ball and implement a management plan with history and experience and not self importance and arrogance like the past. Thanks again Petrus.
Hi Paul This is a honour.. thanks for speaking out.. This is now almost a stamp of approval.. Wow.. Would like to sit down with you at some point and get some guidance..
Dankie vir die video Petrus. Hierdie is so hartseer.
Andrew Zaloumis, Nicolette Forbes and Dr Berry Clark.. they changed the dinamics of the Estuary from Sealine to Fresh and everything died.. including the Prawns and Flathead Mullet..
Nope.. that is their land.. undisputed.. nobody is grabbing anything.. their harvesting rights have been wiped out.. they will take it back because they are left protein straved by The World Heritage Status
Well done Petrus I enjoy all your amazing videos and updates but wish that our so called government will do what it is supposed to do to correct the situation made by them in the past but it will cost to much because of corruption there is no money or infrastructure to fix the damage done thanks for your hard input wish I could help you financially to do the great work you are doing for the people and local communities but I have been out of work for 2 and a half years
Dankie Paul.. waardeer die positiewe terugvoer.. Sadly I have to agree with you on this one.. can't believe it's former White Liberals that are now impoverishing the masses.. Oh .. wait.. it was the. That partook in Colonialism and Slave Trading..
Bwahahaha..after 23 years of protein starving the children.. nope I would attribute it to an act of God if it did open now... Nicolette Forbes.. still making objections after all the Mangroves have died.. and Management Mechanically breached it in 2021.. So no.. Science and many Scientists don't want the Estuary Mouth open
.ense is honger.
Thanks for the update on my most favourite place I have ever stayed and worked. Miss the area very very much.
Hope to see you back soon.. even for a brief visit

Yes Covid19 Lock Down had a very crippling effect over most of us..

Who stopped the harvesting? That was always part of the iSimangaliso deal with the locals
Andrew Zaloumis, Nicolette Forbes and Dr Berry Clark.. they changed the dinamics of the Estuary from Sealine to Fresh and everything died.. including the Prawns and Flathead Mullet..
And now you guys are facing landgrab as well
Nope.. that is their land.. undisputed.. nobody is grabbing anything.. their harvesting rights have been wiped out.. they will take it back because they are left protein straved by The World Heritage Status

Petrus, please keep up the incessant hammering, the right people to give the necessary permissions MUST hear your thunder at sometime 🙈
Hi.. thanks.. I hope so to.
"Rain will not open the estuary "
Never has before.. always been mechanically assisted
OMW,
The Best is yet to come
Would this mean the scientist did a good job if the mouth opens now?
