I don't support buying this knife for one reason alone, teflon. Never supportany company who uses this incredibly dangerous DUPONT may have destroyed thr future of all life on earth because of this one wreckless company. Teflon using PFOA wasn't officially banned in the United States until 2014. Europe banned it in 2008. That means if you own Teflon nonstick cookware from 2013 or earlier, there's a chance it contains PFOA.

@@equilibrium9272 oh wow that's completely reasonable. There are many flippers that care about the environment. I'm just curious since I'm not that knowledgeable on the subject (obviously): How does it harm the environment so much?

@@ElectroBladeEDCI’m pretty sure that the health administration don’t even allow PFOA in water unless it is less than like 1 trillionth of the water im talking like nano grams per kg. Smt like PFAS of 4.4 ng/kg body weight per week. It’s because this shit does not break down meaning that when it is in your blood stream u can’t get rid of this toxic chemical that can cause kidney cancer well it has been linked to it. Someone on TH-cam that does out door survival and hiking made a video on it and shows us how dangerous and easy to spread this chemical is. Shit is no joke you should be careful. If any of this gets in a lake or smt it’s contaminated forever basically

The Teflon used in modern products, including this balisong, are PFOA free, and the harmful substance has been phased out of production since 2013. Plus, the concern of you getting any lasting affects from the Teflon coating on this balisong is a non-issue since most of those problems with older teflon cookware are a direct result of consumption. Unless you're putting this thing in your mouth, and chewing off the yellow, there shouldn't be any issues. As for environmental problems, I can't say that the production of this, or any balisong for that matter, are completely green. However, considering that balisongs are an incredibly niche product and hobby, I am not sure if a couple of coated products from a singular company would move the needle on the carbon footprint.
