i'm no super flipper but i feel like knowing all of the basic baby tricks just builds a fundamental understanding of what you can do in any random grip, and how the knife moves around on a basic level
2:18 Your flow is just nonfluid and is more dedicated to nailing the posing of the move, which I personally think looks better and more flashy, and the readability of the move is also improved. When I first started with my first stainless steel trashisong, I wanted to do openings super fast and when I did, I decided that I often preferred how they looked slowed down the mechanics of the knife's movements were a bit more comprehensive.
i made up this new combo using this advice, whip rollover (w/ safe handle) to chaplin to full twirl to icepick aerial and it’s really satisfying to do now
Great video man! I just got into balisong flipping, and this is great info! I definitely underestimated how hard it would be. Keep making quality videos!
I have gained so many reflexes in my legs from dropping my balisongs
This is true
So true and I've only been flipping for a month 🤣
It’s sorta a new safety feature whenever I drop random things it happens too
Really I thought that was just me
I think any balisong flipper agrees the worst pain is pinching or dropping it on ur foot

I made a cool combo. You basically do a classic open and then classic close and then a zen roll over and then repeat it
Drops knife “well that’s gone”
Drops knife again
Also thanks for the tips
I will do this until I have nothing left to flip
