Well Arturia V collection has superior sounds, can get it monthly from splice. An then its picking correct sounds, its one of those either you have or dont type things.

Look up the Dunning Kruger effect. When somebody's good at something and they're showing you how to do it, it's easy to think "I could do that!"
Nobody starts out producing just knowing how to make good beats. It takes lots and lots of practice. It's not just your mixing or just your theory or just your sound selection, etc. It's how you develop each of those areas and put them together to make the sound YOU want to make. And it's not easy to do it well. Anyone that tells you it is probably isn't near as good at it as they think they are.
