Sarah, I get so gleeful whenever you get a good bargain of clothing “meant for you”. First the jacket and now the dress. So fortunate! And I love flea markets - they are irresistible. I would have grabbed all the $1 books on psychology. All of them. My husband would be horrified. Lolol!
I couldn’t believe I managed to find TWO items within weeks of each other! This never happens to me, as I’m usually too tall to find much that fits properly on any given day 😅 Somehow I was meant to find them I guess 🥰
@@2hearts1seoul seems like there's a high amount of Western stuff in those shops- I'll bet a good chunk are US forces ofcasts- so it might be a better source of clothes that fit!
Yes! I was so surprised how many western brands their were. I think the reason that dress was still there was because it’s definitely meant for a taller woman.
My Favorite place to go to. It's best to go on weekends. This is where I get to enjoy reliving my 70s in Korea since there's 딱지, 우표, 뻔데기, 식혜, 미숫가루, where I also get to hear a lot of 80s European dance music, records, cheap clothes for a buck or so, cheap but great tasting 곰탕,...

I love that you guys show us the more hidden gems not just the major attractions that everyone already knows. It gives Seoul a totally different vibe. I especially loved all of those figurines at 3:15. I would have to try very hard not to buy at least one of them. And as a fellow bookworm, I am so fascinated by Sarah's self control around all those books at the bookstore. I would buy at least 5 and then regret it because I have nowhere to put them 😂

I was SO thrilled to find that dress! I fell in love with it instantly 😍
I was in Korea for short periods of time pre-pandemic, and I always travelled around Seoul via the subway because it was so fast and easy to get to anywhere I want. Starting the vlog with the familiar jingle in the trains really made me miss Seoul extra more tonight. 🥲
Seoul’s subway system is honestly one of my most favorite things about the city, hands down. It’s so convenient and connected, we don’t need a car.
I miss that subway song too. Every time I watch their vlogs, I miss Seoul.
Looked like a really fun day exploring retro shops. My husband would have a ball looking through all that stuff.
What a fun adventure! My daughter is a big thrifter and no matter where they roam on their travels, she's searches the local thrift stores for affordable fun. Thanks for a great video!

The flea market sure holds some hidden treasure 😲. I enjoy just walking around the flea market, but finding something that fits you (especially when you don't plan to get anything from the market) makes the trip extra special! 😆✨

Hey Sarah, there is a secondhand bookstore in Itaewon that is literally a bookworm's treasure island.. it's a tiny store located on the main road i think it's called the Foreign Bookstore... The last time I went there I spent almost 2 hours exploring :)

I’ve seen that retro market area on My Little Old Boy (sorry I don’t know the Korean name) because one of the show regulars loves antiques and goes there regularly. It was great to see it from your perspectives too. Love the dress on you. Unfortunately I don’t have the patience to rummage through stuff to find treasures.

I love the 80's/90's Seoul vibe in this video. 🥰 The last time I was in Dongmyo was in 2017 but everything was closed as it was late at night and it looked just rough, especially compared to the futuristic glitz of the adajacent Dongdaemun area. I will definitely return there the next time I visit my family.
We definitely prefer Dongmyo out of the two. So much more charm 📚✨

I'm saving up for my next pair of Vessi shoes. I have 2 pair and LOVE them!!! They really ARE waterproof. My door out of my apartment leads into the backyard and the backyard floods near the gate (it's my only way out). With my Vessis, I can safely walk through the gate without my feet getting wet.
And thank you for showing this area. I will need a year to see all of the beautiful sites in Korea. I loved the market. I'm a larger woman so I probably wouldn't find any clothes there, but I do love the dress you found, Sarah.
SO glad to hear you’re still loving them! Amazing waterproof features aside, we walked a lotttt that day and our feet weren’t even the slightest bit sore or tender when we got home. That always happens to us when we’re wearing other shoes for a long filming day.
There are so many random treasures here! As a much taller than average woman in Korea, I was surprised to find a western brand dress that fit me perfectly-you just never know!

I've been to Seoul like 5 times, but places I know are kdrama sites 😬. It would have been perfect if they're in to kdramas, but they're not. They are more culture seeking people (well, my boss at least).
