It would be awesome to have this in game as a premium, I still just love the fact that 7 Italian ships ambushed it and it managed to defeat them with ease.
To be fair to the Graf Spee, it's captain had fallen for the biggest snowjob the british had pulled since Brexit. the brits had made them believe the entire british fleet was only a day away, rather than several days. so the captain sank his ship to save his crew. if he had known it was a bluff, he'd have gone out and fought his way through them, knowing he'd be able to outgun them and escape
that sounds right time but not 100 percent sure , I wasn't born and he passed away when I was 15 so didn't know much about every ship he served on but I do know he spent alot of time in the far east and served on HMS Renown nuclear submarine
Question that I hope some one can answer. Leander class light cruisers are now in World of Warships. But they have one major drawback over other Light Cruisers. They can only fire something called APHE rounds. Okay against other CAs and DDs, but useless against BBs, since you cant start fires. Is this right? Exeter is now in WoWS, and I have one, but its very squishy.
5:23 lol The cruiser axe eater? sry could help myself, Nice vid and lovely history of the Ajax so sad to be scrapped but of the two ways a ship can go I guess its the lesser evil.
Wtf seriously wtf was that... How can you describe the battle like that. You utterly under mine the bravery of the British crews and their excellent tactical handling of the battle and no the British retreated after suffering heavy damage wth are you talking about? And the German captain didn't dare to engage them again? Do you get off on trying to spread miss information? Langsdorff was one of the most chivalrous captains of he's life time.. He didn't engage again because the ship was still damaged and the British had been openly broadcasting about the naval reinforcements that were arriving the Reason he didn't engage again was to save the remaining crew. He didn't want to sacrifice them for some idiotic "glorious" last stand
thank you for the information sir that is very helpful, fyi i know that hack for a long time but it would be nice if we able to have some kind of defense agains torps.
This is one hell of an adventure for one ship..
Yes fantastic detail in this model. Not to mention excellent historical information. Wargaming is a great company.

FINALLY
So proud of these ships, even if they came into service a decade and a half after their design began.
All right.. there's the first reveal.. Here come the Brit cruisers!
I had family on the Ajax during the battle.
Ajax is a football club in Holland
Ajax is also a football squad in UK
Ja but we know which one came first obviously
+Lamborghini Lam Enjoy Lamborghini power' s power :D
AJAX!! Maar het natuurlijk een griekse god hej
Finally some form of video on a British ship
"I am Ajax! Breaker of stones! Look upon me and despair"!
Excellent, I have been waiting for one of these on a British Ship. Perhaps Warspite, or Belfast next please?
1 complaint - Exeter is not pronounced Exeeter but more like Exerter. As a British person this is annoying. Otherwise interesting video and well done!
my late father served on HMS Ajax in the late 60s
I asume it must have been a new build given the same name I have photographs with the ships name on his ribbon
That should be HMS Ajax (F114) Leander-Class frigate launched 16 August 1962
that sounds right time but not 100 percent sure , I wasn't born and he passed away when I was 15 so didn't know much about every ship he served on but I do know he spent alot of time in the far east and served on HMS Renown nuclear submarine
my dad was starboard crew and I believe he was a sonar/ radio operator to
Can't help but giggle at the dudes pronunciation of Exeter (:

HMS Achilles (from 1941 HMNZS Achilles)

do a 1:42 scale of the Armored carrier Taiho
or a 1:42 yamato
Very nice, now gib British Cruisers (Desteroyers, Carriers and Battleships pls!).
I use Ajax to scrub my sink. Other wise, I'm looking forward to the British teck tree.
Very nice model.

The Battle of the River Plate would be a good enough action for most resumes but....
*ITS NAME IS FRANCIS!!!!!!*

great video :D
OK, Wargaming, listen here carefully, YOU FORGOT TO CREATE THE ROYAL NAVY'S BATTLESHIP TECH TREE, if you think we have forgotten you are mistaken.
Oh come on, give them a break...one techtree at a time. And give me time to play the RN cruisers before releasing another one...
: ) Their decision to leave the RN's big ships for 2017 was a mistake.
since all ship trees start with a cruiser they usually add them first, Russian was exception because...well, Russian bias probably ;-)
Also they “forgot” (probably because they’re busy) the British aircraft carriers.
What is the name of that song used at the beginning of the video?
my town is named after this great ship in canada
Nice
Ajax in Holland is from the 1900
at 6:52 "the allied landings in normandy in southern france"! waaaau hahahahahhaha
*Normandy AND Southern France, not 'in', check your ears or activate subtitles
No dislikes.

Mejor lo hubiese comprado Chile, lo hubiésemos dejado como un barco museo.
Oh thx! No russian ships!
Ayy Lamo, first
can we have the depth charges to blow up some torpedoes???????!!!!!
Depth charges were never used as anti-torpedo defence. Also learn to use WASD. Everyone has access to those hacks.
thank you for the information sir that is very helpful, fyi i know that hack for a long time but it would be nice if we able to have some kind of defense agains torps.
I see, I understand your point of view
Maybe some torpedo nets for ships like the Tirpitz, with the drawback that you'll have to stay in a port for the entire battle XD
i want a pocket bb
Typisch Wargaming: Bringen wir erstmal ein Premiumschiff, Die Idioten kaufen das erstmal weil sie unbedingt Briten fahren wollen.
5:45 You just cant be serious?!
There's more to it than just that. I recommend you to watch a documentary about the Graf Spee.
i know that why i asked if they wher bullshitting
2N00BY1 If you put it that way, I apologise for misunderstanding you the first time, and I totally agree with you.
no problem;)
Cruiser Ajax, the Sadodere of the Royal Navy. Azur Lane!
