You know, my 85 Kenworth and my 98 FLD never had a problem with that. Oh, and they got better fuel mileage even though they were not aerodynamic, I guess having a fuel dumped into an exhaust chamber isn't very efficient.
going slower makes more magic to mileage as any other voodoo.
The results from the new and improved diesel fuel. We have to run now.. Bet that if the old fuel was run instead you probably wouldn’t have as much soot, especially if you were running it in one of the older engines with out all the emissions garbage put on them

I thought it was ash that is stored in the dpf
It is. The whole point about a DPF is that it burns off the combustible, carbon deposits and what remains is the incombustible ash which can only be removed with chemicals.
