I just heard the news: The metal virtuoso, "one of the greatest heavy guitarists of all-time" Alexi Laiho has died.
He was a HERO of this country! So sad to hear these awful news :(

But that comparison is highly unacceptable and i havent ever heard it before.
If you gonna talk about bullet for my valentine, you keep the finnish metal bands outta your mouth.
I have no idea about musical similarities between the 2, but the difference in overall mentality is insane!
To put it short, finnish metalheads dont listen to bullet for my valentine or other poser-y stuff. Actually most have just heard the name and they didnt want to hear it in the first place.
However, theres a bfmv fandoms here for sure, and other shit like that, mut it will be ok when those people reach adulthood.
CoB= metal, bfmv= some trendy gothic rock.
When gothic metal started conquering the scene after the golden years of black metal, it has been clear that those subgenres dont merge the way old school black/death/heavymetal person would appreciate it.
Its good to remember that when gothic looking and sounding stuff playing bands became more popular, people started to call us black metal heads goths.

In the later half of the 90s, everybody was slamming us as satan worshippers. Thats ok, we are used to it.
But goths?!?
Not ok.
This has been a very small lesson about finnish metal culture.

Enjoy the show when you see them live! Bodom's the band I've seen the most live (at 11 times now) and they have been phenomenal every time. Definitely worth the ticket price!
We paid $30 per ticket for Bodom, Lost Society, Carach Angren and Uncured. I would say Bodom alone would have been worth the admission.

Lake Bodom has been mentioned plenty of times. Between now and the concert we will be doing some of the ones you mentioned.
This is a really solid list of songs. Can't go wrong with any of them. Generally try to stick to the first three albums.
Everytime I Die & Needled 24/7 are probably my favorites, of course there's tons of great songs but those 2 come to my mind first.
We will get most of those on the list done between now and the show....that is our goal.

Also the 2nd guitar (Roope Latvala was playing it at the time this song was released) was playing that sick synth melody at the end of the song.
What a shame that Alexi's life ended way too soon, still can't believe it...
I was lucky and met Alexi just by chance. He was always so nice & polite to his fans, no signs of a cocky rock star attitude whatsoever, such a great human being he was.

I'd recommend something from their second or third album which are the best ones IMO, songs like "Silent Night Bodom Night", "Hate Me", "Follow the Reaper" or "Children of Bodom" are some of my favourites.
Part of the guitar solo was cut off in the music video, unfortunately… You definitely should do more songs of CoB. Some of their classics from Hatebreeder and Follow The Reaper are timeless!

We purchased tickets the day after we recorded the video, we are going to the Toronto show on Nov 28th.
Children of Bodom has the songwriter/singer called Alexi Laiho and he's rewarded as the best guitarist in the world several times. CoB is also one of the most succesful bands from Finland as well, in top 5.
I'd say together with Nightwish they are propably the most succesful active band from Finland. They don't get the media attention like Him and Nightwish but they are surely up there which is amazing for a band of this genre. And for everyone who doesn't know: Finland and Sweden are THE gold mines of almost every deathmetal subgenre so it's not easy at all to shine through there

Great choice of song! Better than what they do now I think. Do you know the canadian band "Unleash the Archers?" You could react to "Tonight we ride" great song and video. They are not very known though but you could do a section called "discovering new bands" :D
A few people have mentioned that band, we will have to do one of their videos. It takes time to get to every request or every band. I wish we could do more Wintersun and Insomnium and other bands we like, but we don't want things to get boring with the same bands all the time and we also don't have lots of time, more now that school is about to start.
Are you going to react to more Wintersun? I had the impression you really liked their music.
We did and we plan on doing more of Wintersun. This week we didn't have a chance and next week we are on holidays and doing the All Week Request. Once we are back we will be covering more Wintersun.
A&P-REACTS my personal strong recommendations are "Loneliness (Winter)", "Eternal Darkness (Autumn)" and "Time".
Also "Awaken From the Dark Slumber (Spring)", but that masterpiece might be too much to swallow in the first serving, it's very complex and multi-layered, it took me weeks to being able to fully digest it and appreciate its majesty. Of course you shouldn't miss the debut album "Wintersun" either.
You definitely need to react to more Wintersun... All of their songs are beyond amazing... you must continue with Eternal Darkness (Autumn), Time (Live at sonic pump studios), Loneliness (Winter) and Winter Madness, incredibles songs by them...
We plan on having a video for Time out soon....unless something crazy happens, this is the plan. I would also like to do some of those guitar solo videos that they have out!!! I haven't checked them but they look interesting.

The reason why you put the keyboard like that is because you should have your wrists in a neutral position. It shouldnt be upturned or downturned. It should be in a neutral stance

History of the song, Swedes bishop band all pagan songs at crusade of Finland, punishment can be death for devil worship. This song Is answer of Finns. Tell me how long it would take pro to convert it to metal?
