I've felt like this too. Had to change my perspective that's all. I struggled with dropping nuclear "F" bombs and being judgemental. Well, it later became clear as day to me. Would I drink a glass of water from the toilet? Of course NOT! Then, how could I praise/honor God with that same mouth? The shhhh that I was talking was no dirtier than the shhhh that's found in the toilet. It was all coming from the same horrendous source. Bible says that there's life and death in the power of the tongue. I've had to make a conscious decision to speak life giving, uplifting words to keep my tongue on check.
I really relate to this! But I'm learning from the scriptures that even the most ardent lovers of Christ failed him at times, due to the weakness of the flesh. The Lord Jesus knows we are only human, and whilst this is not an excuse to carry on serving the flesh, God's unfailing grace towards us and Jesus's perfect sacrifice mean we have no reason to live in shame, as we have the forgiveness of Christ through His precious blood! No matter how many times we fall down, Jesus will NEVER fail to pick us up. It's important to remember that Jesus was here as Man too, and He knows what it is to be tempted! So although I constantly fail to die to the flesh and its idols, I am trying. I'm striving to make my Lord the sole object of my life and purpose. Because everything else fails but Him!!! On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. This video was so helpful as I now realise I have been pursuing idols which puff up my flesh: they seem so harmless, so innocent, and yet lead always and only to my downfall, and then to guilt and shame at not having served Christ. And if we are not careful this shame can drive us away from Christ, because we feel so unworthy of His love. So I must fill myself with Him through the Holy Spirit: *He must increase, I must decrease* _"Lord Jesus, wherever we may be in life, help and guide each one of us always back to Thyself, no matter what state we are in._ _Open our eyes to Your light and Your amazing forgiveness which is free to those who believe._ _Each one of us have at some point betrayed You, and so we pray that You would grant us wisdom to stop seeking things which comfort the flesh, the things that lead to sin, and start seeking the fruits of the Spirit, which draw us closer to You._ _Lord, let anyone bearing the heavy guilt and shame of their sins just be reminded today of Your constant love, a love which overlooks all evil in our lives and sees us as friends._ _Thank You for your enduring patience and the suffering You endured at Calvary for each one of us. Without that sacrifice of love, we truly would be lost! We praise Thy glorious name, amen."_
I believe when I've wrestled with the flesh it is usually due to wrestling with God. Or more so being dragged along my path behind a chariot tied to a rope, instead of walking in it.
That's how it's easy for me now to deal with all toxic people who are always talking about me behind my back. It was difficult before, now I am used to it 😂😂😂😂 I don't care anymore about the opinion of others. I know who I am and it's not necessary to prove my worth to others 🙌 I have my Jesus Christ who is giving me the strength and energy everyday to face my battles 😊 I find peace with him😇
