@samueljohnson7068 I never found that special person in life to marry and have a family with. I have no children. Caen is located in Normandy. Caen was crucial to tha Allies on D Day, it was the essential road & hinge of resistance to the American & British Allies. Caen remains one of the largest medieval fortresses in Western Europe. The battle for Caen was so severe & vicious, it lasted just under 2 months, so brutal, 73% of the city was destroyed & it is estimated that 3000 local children, women & French civilians died in the onslaught. An estimated 2500 tons of bombs were dropped on the city. The Allies underestimated the German resistance. Of all the wreckage, the Abby (Cathedral) survived, and the hospital. Band of Brothers. The greatest Generation. I remember taking a Tour bus to France from Germany where I was stationed and we stopped by Belgium and walked around the military cemetery where thousands of US soldiers from WWII are buried. Rows and rows of white head stones. I sat next to this WWII Veteran, and he told me most of his dead friends were about my age. Tears were welling up in his old eyes. I admired him so much. He felt like my grandfather whom I have never met because Japanese killed him during the WWII. I salute you, all of you American heroes of WWII.

The thing I love About Europe, is that they don't destroy old structure
ALL THIS SHOWS IS THAT TIME MARCHES OVER EVERYTHING & EVERYONE .
My Dad was there when he was 19. From a Farm in Kansas. He went from there to Germany. It affected his life very much but you never heard a word about it from him. He shot himself in 1973. I was 14.😢
There's always something about the history stories of WW2 that gives me goosebumps. Then add an audio from Band of Brothers series is the perfect cherry on top. Makes me think I was involved in it in my past life.
The Soundtrack is almost Supernatural
Great Videos,I Appreciate seeing them when you Post them...Thankyou so much!❤
I am an Army Brat and when my family and I were stationed in Germany in the 70's they were still rebuilding from WW2
I love these old then and now videos. Basically everyone you see are all gone. Sad😢.
The Pacific theme tune is just beautiful ❤️
