I diddn't know he did this but my friend told me she saw this musical and says that Jason donovan was in it and now I see it at you tube. lovely to see this!
@Ronja369 He's been doing so many things. Have you listened to the underrated and forgotten album All Around The World? This album is the most classy one of him. Listen to Shout About or Angel or All Around The World. He has been singing different types of songs other than bubblegums. Even as diverse as Faithless.
Saw the show at the O2 on Sunday evening - both Jason Donovan & Rhydian Roberts were great. Obviously they're not David Essex & Phil Lynott but nonetheless both gave creditable performances!
Thanks I too was there :) I think Jason did a fantastic job as the Artillaryman. Did you get to meet him after? .I have a video of Jason at the dress rehearsals in london on the 20th, if I get time I will post it for you to see :)
@Rockin0verTheW0rld Everybody has a way to interpret a character. When he played Joseph for example, he played as innocent as possible. He was crazy before as Frank N Furter. So maybe he felt he didn't need to be that crazy for this role.
With all respect to Jason (because I'm a fan), i didn't think that top note was within his range - he's a baritone singer (or baritenor at best) and it just doesn't really seem like "him"?...
This will stay as classic i'm sure. Brilliant played by Jason, who is incredible here
What a fantastic performance of Jason! I was in Antwerp yesterday and met Jason backstage afterwards! It was awesome! Thanks for sharing this video!
Jason is absolutely brilliant,love him
Just saw it in Belfast a week or so ago and Jason was superb! As was everyone else!

Thank you for this video share and also for those who live too far in my dream to see jason finally there live
This song sounds sooooo difficult!!!!
@Rockin0verTheW0rld
I think he accepted the role because the musical was so rock. And he was good with high notes.
I ❤️ J.D

I can't decide whether he play the Artilleryman or Parson Nathaniel better
He is good in both but I think him as parson and Ricky Wilson as artillery man
@@carmyllie_slate_railway agreed

What happened to Richard Burton's voice when he said "Territory" lol XD
You probably no longer care, but it might have been a connection issue or something, as The Artilleryman says a similar thing a second later.
Great!
:)
@369Ronja
He will have new album after about two weeks.

He's got a plan.
Well, this would solve the health care plan in America. O_o
So did Dutch Van Da Linde
Maybe Ben Forster can play this character.
Should the Christians of Europe move downwards?

He could belt the high notes before. Look for Harvest for The World with Kim Wilde.
I like Alexis James more but Jason was alright he is a good singer.
No David Essex innit
Seriously? He sounds like Frank-N-Furter | Rocky Horror ...
