Odd question here: Do the retro figures have the same smell as the old ones? I have a very strong olfactory memory of visiting my older cousin who had a closet full of SW and Indiana Jones merch and it had this powerful chemically pvc aroma to it. To this day any time I smell anything similar it transports me right back to the moment he proudly folded back the doors and stood aside to reveal the epic battle going on between all sorts of heroes and villains on various playsets both official and handmade.
Not at all... I smell EVERYTHING, and these guys really have no discernable smell. I indeed remember the smell of old action figures... there were even subtle differences in smells from wave to wave of figures... in particular, the Medical Droid (FX-7) had an intensely acrid smell even years after being out of the package!
@@ZacHawkins42 I guess it has to do with the differences in the exact mixtures of chemicals or even mold release agents... I'm not sure, but some figures just smelled different back then.
