Love the content. I am a philosophy professor and poker player and this situation is a really interesting moral and practical dilemma. On the one hand, Bert’s repeated use of a racial epithet in a public recreational club is morally repugnant and borders on hate speech. The Hangar clearly should have policy against such blatant player harassment, and should ban him from playing on their tables. On the other hand he’s a mush and a donk with a lot of money, so …maybe don’t ban him? I’m torn. Glad you got his stack….twice. Keep grinding!

GTO poker nerd here, your limp is perfectly fine in a live game with deep stacks. Post flop you should have played it a lot more trappy though. In general you play pretty well dude, maybe a tad bit loose but thats perfectly fine. Keep at it!

I once went all in with $300 first big hand. Thought I had a pair. Whole table went in. Walked with an unknowingly straight flush. I put my cards down in defeat and the guy next to me pointed out what I had. Pissed off 2 older men playing, heart was racing great day.
That many hands out there and no 8d is wild on the first one. The limped AK and Qs is so frustrating, I agree. It's weird vibes when everyone is trying to trap, but when the betting starts, you gotta hear sirens going off. I had 9-10 suited on the button the other day, raised against the blinds and get called by the big. Flop came 10-A-10, Big blind overbets big and I call. Turn is a 9, He shoves all in and I call. He turns over aces.

Aces plo hand is always always 3b for full pot there...the misconception from beginner players is that aces in plo arent good...the shallower the spr the easier your decision will be postflop in multi way pots

As far as your straight after your boat betting 175, I think you played it perfect Doyle Brunson once said never slow play anything because your just giving the other guy a chance to catch up! As a poker player myself I agree either they are going to be in or out. But I never worry about what they got weather I win a little or a lot in a hand but if I show them mercy than it's my fault and I deserve to loose because I gave them a chance if I bet small. Just my opinion. I completely like your style and think you got a good head on your shoulders just always remember the sucker or the guy on tilt will always call! Only person I believe you can never run off is a drunk lol they call everything and more times they suck out but don't worry by end of night you will have there chips too. But if you can keep at least one or two people at the table pissed off and on tilt preferably ones with medium to big stack well there is your advantage and your winnings for the night too because they will call anything just to be in your pot to piss you off lol. No matter what I tell you or advice I give you it's just that advice. If you use it great if not that's fine too no hard feelings. I know when I seriously started playing in late 90s early 2000s people would give me advice and honestly most times I didn't listen either I was to stubborn and pig headed or to immature don't know which lol but when I did start opening up you listening I learned a lot some I used some I didn't you have to Taylor that to your game and how you play. One thing I still do today and will always keep doing is when I first come to a table I fold the first five hands I don't even look at them because I don't want to be tempted of playing them. Instead it forces me to watch everyone else at the table to see what they are doing how they are playing and betting both good hands and bad. Now I have some idea what every person is doing and now makes it easier to pay more attention to them in a pot of mine or not because you have already been watching them. Or even some now days I will get my table seat and stand back for 5 or 10 minutes watch everyone else play so I can see what everyone is doing before I sit down but I still fold 5 hands in a row no matter what DON'T LOOK AT THEM! LOL. Your not missing out trust me it will make you better and yes over the years I even hit two bad beats one I was the looser and one the winner looser always better lol. But try this see if it helps you zone in on your surroundings and competition promise you it will help you. Try it or don't but I just think you have what it takes to be great. Like I told you before it helps to keep that separate account just for poker or gambling. As well as I away came in with 4 times my buy in so gold strike at the time for 1-2 was 500 max I had 2000 on me so I could rebuys if needed or wanted to but I only would rebut once so if I lost 500 started with I buy in for another I learned this hard way because let's face it some days are just not your day and just keep getting beat. I use to keep rebuying till went through all 2000 until I learned that and just went to one time rebut if loose that go home tomorrow is a new day! Quick story. When at gold strike I was dating then eventually married one of dealers didn't work out for other reasons lol but when she dealt she was my Kryptonite seriously!! Every time she dealt me I would get beat or sucked out on. Texas Holden I don't play even though I can just not good at Omaha. Anyway every time she came to deal I learned I would just tip her 25 dollars and go on break until she left because every single time I would loose when she delt me serious. So was cheaper to stop playing when she delt I would go smoke go eat or walk around go play slots granted this was casino but I am sure you know what I mean about certain dealer lord knows us poker player are superstitious about everything lol!! Plus made happier home life because I didn't blame her even though not her fault but back then I did blame her lol but it worked I would take a break she eventually go to next table and I would continue my winning streak until she came back around then again tip her 25 dollars and take me a break. A lot of regulars knew why and would laugh about it but I learned and it worked not only for my game but personal life too! Would I date a dealer again? Sure because back then as I said I was spending 15 to 18 hours on poker table other than poker I didn't have a life so you get to know them well why wouldn't you do it. But she was only one who would constantly kill me on poker table out of all the dealers I ever had. Good times back then. You remind me of me and I do see greatness in you and your game. As I said in another of your post I do suggest even if you don't like it to play few tournaments now and then not big ones unless your game but one for learning experience as whole different world but more better helps you learn different players styles at cheap cost plus you will find people who play mostly tournaments cannot play cash games well at all very few can and will dump there money to you on cash tables. I use to love it when a tournament player came from it to play cash because they are thinking tournaments style not cash and usually loose lots of money seriously. Just food for thought but If you play both it helps your game and makes it easier thy I spot them and learn people's tells quickly too at a cheap let's say example 150 dollar tournament weather you win or loose for several hours your able to seriously watch how these people play find there tells and use it in cash games or future tournaments cheap way for free knowledge in my opinion do you think? Use the advice or don't up to you just trying to help you if I can and hope I am not over stepping my grounds in giving you advice or options. Like I said just think your a good player your young and can learn a few tricks along the way to make your style and game even better while making lots of money along the way!! Lol

That’s Jacks hand is wild because even thought I think you played the hand wrong after seeing what the players had you probably lost the minimum. If you played a 4 bet after the guy gets 55 you would have at least had to bet like 200. The guy with the queens would have called so you would have lost another 133$ even if it would have check around on 3 streets.
