Great show guys, thanks. Toppsy is coming on fab. I really like the idea of the by-pass route hiding the storage yard. Makes a change from having a layout with only one side scenic and the other storage. Mike also shows just how nicely scenery comes together and totally changes the layout. Hope lockdown ends soon or Richard won't be able to get his skid lid on lol. Stay safe and well all, regards Bobby 'T'.

I am so pleased to find that the videos of Topley Dale in particular and from Hornby Magazine in general are still with us. It seems ages since I saw the last one. Watching Mike working on the layout is far more instructive than show demonstrations and most videos available. I have been modelling railways since my father bought me my first train set in about 1956, yet I am still learning from Hornby Magazine videos. Incidentally I do not do metric, nor DCC and have a strong preference for steam. Because of Mike's comments I have subscribed to Hornby Magazine and am very glad that I did.
Watching the Mad Hatter is very enjoyable but whatever happened to Tweedledum and Tweedledee? I enjoy their input as well but it was somewhat limited this time.

Like how the scenery has come together. Looks good. An improvement in my humble opinion would be to weather the front of the viaduct it looks far too uniform and bright and it would be good to see a way of masking those obvious vertical joints.

I have the same problem that anything moving across the screen looks like stop-motion video. I was wondering if it may be the result of me watching on a 4k screen at 144hz whilst the camera used may be somewhat lower in resolution? Either way its very distracting and spoils the good camera work. This is the only model website that shows this problem. @Wratting Road, I have a 600Mb internet so no no problem with the internet. @Steve Luckhurst, Just because you don't have a problem doesn't mean, "must be a problem at your end" which is a very unhelpful remark.

Great content as always, but may I respectfully make the following observations:
When filming a model train the more acute the camera angle, the less obvious the lack of corridor connections is!
Although it is quite common practice to hide the corner of a layout under a scenic hill, it is best to allow one car length between the end of a curve and the tunnel portal. That way the line will look straight. To my mind, seeing a train exiting a tight radius tunnel just looks wrong. As you can tell, this is a particular annoyance of mine! 😊

I wonder if you are going to do a little more work on the road. Roads aren’t uniform light grey, road markings aren’t pristine white. Roads are often patched and the edges darker , they often have wear lines where traffic runs, they include drains and other bits of metal work which are set into the road and attract dirt and weeds, roads attract litter and are often randomly stained. Roads are almost never flat they have a camber and slope especially round corners. In urban areas the curbs and pavements are also really complicated. Roads to often look like yours even on the best layouts, they should be a real challenge to model.

Enjoy your videos; just a minor complaint, your voice has a tendency to tail off making it a little difficult to hear. Really minor
