You, sir, did a great job here. Very impressive. I know a little less than nothing when it comes to art and paintings. However, when I walked through a museum a few years back and saw well over a hundred paintings, the one artist that stood out for me was Willem Kalf. Man, this guy had a technical and accurate way of seeing the world. He is a master in my book.
Hi,Jos..This is one of your best..!(I always say that afther seeing a new video...!)You are indeed an inspiration for every artist..greetings from Croatia..😀
thnx! I think that was liquin. The black I use dries so slow, and I have to use a lot of it in the shadow directly under the table. So I just add liquin there..
Thnx! Well I usually paint on panels, but I use various kinds. I like to use tempered particle board, but also like to glue 'grey board' to either mdf or dibond. The grey cardboard has a particular texture I like. Lately I've also been using dibond panels. I apply Lefranc Bourgeois gesso to all supports
Incredible! Just purchased one of your tutorials. Thanks for the quality and sharing your knowledge. Looking forward to more videos as well as tutorials!
My compliments, your paintings are awesome! Just a little observation, if I can: in my opinion your videos are too fast to appreciate the painting progression, why don't make it far more slower? Cheers.
Thnx for pointing this out, I didn't even notice that was in the video (or I forgot :). Usually only the surface of the palette is visible. But this oblique view may be a nice way to make a video too. Hm yes, thus far I havn't found a way to use less paper. Though now I'm trying to catch it in a box, see if it is practical to re-use after the paint has dried.
Amazing work. So satisfying to see all the colour mixes pop up at the side of your pallete!
thnx, glad you like it

Wow that is amazing. What kind of canvases/panels do you use for oil painting?? Beautiful work!

Wonderful painting Josvanr! I'm so envious! Please tell me, did you do the drawing in charcoal or pencil.
thnx! Usually I draw with pencil and then trace the lines with a pigment marker and erase the pencil.....

@@josvanr Would you consider painting a contemporary still life at some point, with modern items? Curious how it would look with your skill.
😍😍😍😍

Thnx! Maybe you can check out the tutorials...
Plz make videos in slow way kindly

Personally people don’t want to watch my videos when it is too long, maybe it’s the same reason
That’s quite a bit of paper towel you’re using… for a fabulous piece of work though.

It unbelievable I thought it's real
thnx so much!
who else was staring at the paper towel rolling down in the right frame? :-) I never end up using that much paper. What am I doing wrong?
Its probably me doing it wrong, wasting all that paper. But I just can't use dirty brushes...
Translation: human Xerox machine
Such loose brush work.... Lol
