I didn't understand a lot of what he was rambling about, but he signed his papers with something like "John Smith's Corporate Entity." He was saying that he was a corporation and so could not be arrested. He also said that he was a Muslim and Muslims can't lie so if he said he didn't commit a crime we had to let him go. I just checked, and he is in prison.

I think for the 'legal document/debt' one, the basis is reasonable. As in national debt causing degradation of worth, and and the times when social security failed. The US does loan money from China, Japan, etc. And the reasonable take I've heard that's similar is that American people are getting screwed from tax so that US can pay back the increasing debt with interest. Sovereign citizens isn't the right term, what I am saying is think about Native Indians living in the territory of the US lands who are not US citizens, they cannot get a seatbelt ticket. No one is saying they can get away with murder, fraud, stealing. If they have broken no natural laws, the Native is free to go.
That’s not how it works for natives. Their territories are basically allowed to enforce their own rules and have their own courts. But they all pay federal income tax and have to abide by federal laws. They’re basically their own state(in the American sense) in the union. As soon as they are off the rez they have to abide by the laws of the state they’ve entered.
