    Tupac showed me as a white kid growing up just how intelligent & powerful black culture can be. It not only prevented me from being a racist unlike many whites, (that & growing up poor in the ghetto) seeing the world through Tupac’s eyes I saw the world through a black mans eyes & it changed me for the positive. As a 8 or 10 year old My admiration for this man allowed me to embrace people who were different than me. It allowed me to recognize me are all humans & we need to love & respect each other. Tupac not only prevented racism, he shattered racism. Your videos are awesome btw, I love how you are so genuine. Lots of love & respect! Black is beautiful & black culture is beautiful. Stupid racism & human greed is what brings down races & creates “classes” of people.

      @talez5361 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jordan Jay "she dates outside of her race," then goes on to say "stop simping" from behind a faceless account? If you were listening, YOU are exactly the reason why she does "date outside of her race" as you say. You don't have the right to shit on these sisters because you think they don;t have options and then when they show you they do, then "you're simping" when you, as a black man, recognize the problem? Look, if you like dick that's cool. But don;t sit here and try to stoke division among black men and women, go back to your troll cave somewhere and listen to your hero--Kevin Samuels.

    • @laydijae
      @laydijae 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Big was a better LYRICIST. Pac was a GENIUS POET, STORYTELLER , old soul, visionary, etc... Nothing about him or his content was lightweight, everything had depth, texture and layers. YOU FELT PAC whether he was uplifting folks or bringing drama. I remember being amazed at how he, in a world that said you must be defined to be understood, i.e., conscious rapper, street rapper, good guy or 'thug,' Pac was able to slip in and out of multiple personas w/o being labeled as a fake or phony or hypocrite, etc... It's true, we're all walking contradictions but very few are able to express those contradictions in a way that feels honest, and so most take on a persona that we stick to and share with the world. Imagine The Fresh Prince making a gangsta tune or Ice Cube making a song like "I Need Love..." Pac did it, and successfully! That was also part of his genius... from 'Brenda's Gotta Baby' to 'I Get Around' to 'Hit Em Up.' Contradiction w/o compromise... Pac was always a real one.

    Please don't apologise, that reaction was raw and real. It's refreshing to see someone honestly show how they are feeling. That song always has moved me and I'm a white guy from Australia, so I can't even imagine the impact it would have on an African American woman. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

    Pac had the ability of taking an important topic that people wanted to avoid talking about, putting every ounce of his soul into it the song, and delivering it in a way that could reach listeners like no other artists could.
    EDIT: And make you cry for listening! haha. RIP

      @queenmother1207 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@juliaa9139 none and NONE of the so called rappers can ever come close to 2pac. He was a true lyricist and love his black women. Even when he started making money, he stayed true to himself and what he preached which was loving black women. These peons these days have black baby moms and when they get a taste of money they run to white or exotic looking women. Then try to downplay the Black queen who birthed their kids and birthed them. It's sickening to see and I'll never respect this new age crap. You can date or marry whoever but you shouldn't disrespect what you came from. Selling their souls.

    That man has been gone from us for the past 20-some-odd years and his music, his words that he wrote down on paper can still do that, it can reach people, it can touch people, which is what he always wanted. That young lady's tears are a testament to the iconic artist Tupac was.

    I was a full grown adult when this came out! This song was so deep and showed us..black women black single mothers, to know that someone saw us. In this video we weren't being shown as video vixens..So yes he was a Prophet and we were intentionally shown only the negative. Pac is my no.1 on my list of GOAT.. Oh look for TuPacs' poetry book..A Rose From Concrete,it's even more of an Insight in to the character of the MAN
