really loved the music on the start of this one, Ant. just so happy clappy, the kind of stuff an old grump like me likes. (I'm not really grumpy, or I would leave you nice comments!) what can I say, I'm a sucker for tambourines! shh, don't tell anyone, but I am an ABBA fan!
great scenery, as usual. LOVED the platoon of swans swimming by!
I always feel like I'm walking right along with you in your videos!

Abba are great 😀 I try to keep the music as positive as possible, fitting in with the film so I'm pleased you enjoyed it. I'll need bagpipes for Scotland 😂👍

@trekkingandtowpaths What a beautiful day you had showing off the Lincolnshire and Leicestershire countryside at it's best. I've had a real bonus today, watching your Chesterfield Canal Vids this morning, then got the notification that the Grantham Canal final part was posted - result!! I'm so pleased that you took my recommendation of the Dirty Duck(it was called the 'Ruddy Duck' when I lived around there), seeing Joanne's face and thumbs-up after her meal made my day. It was really nice of you to promote the Grantham Canal project, I'm sure they will appreciate it. Keep up the excellent work.

Morning 😀 Sorry for the late reply. We are currently in Scotland on the Caledonian Canal 😀 This part of the canal is fantastic and i plan on doing a trip on the day boat too in the future. Hope you are well, cheers, Ant 😀👍

@@TrekkingExploration I'd be replying late if I was up there as well, it's a beautiful place so no worries!!! My wife and I go up there most years and base ourselves just north of Fort William in a place called Tulloch Bridge. We tend to go at Easter when there is still a good amount of snow on the mountains, so hiking up there is an unbelievable experience at that time of year. Have a great time.

Having seen all 3 now it's obvious a huge amount of work is still to be done. Many bridges not now suitable as they have been altered since the canal closed. Can't see it happening in my lifetime but it will be worth it in the end. A great project.

Another place I love to go. Not had the chance to ride that far along the canal for quite some time. And I think it was at the bridge 62 you showed where me and my mate camped in the farmers field. And I hope to ride the entire canal again before the end of the year.

I'm so glad I found your channel as I absolutely love your canal vlogs. The beautiful scenery, peace and sunshine really reminds me of my childhood where I spent many an happy hour on the 'top cut' as we call it around Cossall.

Morning 😀 I grew up in Trowell, living there for 17 years until 2001. Spent many hours on both the Nottingham and the Erewash. So lucky to have them both 😀 Thank you for the kind comment 😀

If you turn off the canal at bridge 62 then cross over the bridge it takes you back on to the disused railway line

@@TrekkingExploration the old line forks off not far from there. One line gose to Harston and the other runs up the side of Denton Reservoir then heads towards the back of Harlaxton. Harlaxton Manor had a railway running into the back of it but don't know where it came from.
Keep the videos coming there all interesting
