Bastoni is the key player in breaking down low block formation favoured by most mid and low table teams. His crosses accuracy does invite lots of XG attempt.
For me Jean-Clair Todibo is the choice. He has everything we need and he is affordable. He allows United to spend in other areas and strengthen the squad. A Bastoni signing effectively stops United from signing once less player as he would cost around £70m, where as Todibo would cost £30-35m.
Goncalo Inacio looks really good though

I'd have absolutely loved a partnership of tapsoba and bastoni both are dreamlands of ball playing defenders and are absolutely calm on the ball whilst being defensively apt
One defender that i really like and so underrated is pascal struijk at leeds. Very calm, compose, great passer, versatile and always scanning the field. He just unlucky with the injury, but I believe he could play at higher level and will be a great defender.
Great shouts for players. What are your thoughts on Maxence Lacroix and Zeno Debast? They would be my defensive attainable transfers for United. ML has a touch of Antonio Rudiger about him and ZD is a bit of a hybrid Centre back and full back on the right side.
I like Lacroix, prefer him to Todibo but don’t know enough about Debast atm
@@AtlantisFootball Sporting are sniffing around Debast at the minute. The strategy is clear. Sell either Diomande or Inacio for good money £50m+ get Debast in for £10m sell him on for £50m+ in 2 years. There isn't a lot of hype around Debast but he has 9 caps for Belgium and is only 20 years old. I just think take a risk on him, rather than waiting.

Curious to know your thoughts why on the defensive section of Bastoni's fbref stats look so weak. Ranks in the 43rd percentile for % of dribblers tackled, yet you still consider him a good 1 v 1 defender. I remember in your analysis of Kim Min Jae that was a stat that you considered key
Cuz stats are absolute bullshit. Mainoo is terrible according to stats. Amrabat is one of the better midfielders in the league according to stats. Martinez is shocking defensively and in duels according to stats. Pay attention to games rather than stats and it’ll all start making much more sense.
Would love Bostoni or Scalvini (if not crocked) as they have delivered in top 4 league & Europe. See if there is cash to do so.
If it is not todibo maybe Schlotterbeck also can be a great option, strong quick and great passer. I'd love to see him give some through pass to Rashford.

I'm concerned that Todibo might not be an option so that Ineos create separation between the two Euefa leagues they're involved in - there are questions around separation to qualify for the europa League.
This is a serious there are a lot of players being linked for the rcb but we seriously don't know who they are bringing in. My options for LCB I'll say

Hermoso- free agent
Inacio

United need 2 centre backs in my opinion. First cb signing should be todibo. He's 24, experienced and cheaper alternative to the likes of bremer and bastoni.Inter are doing well so I doubt bastoni will leave. The second signing should be, since united want a young and promising cb, aaron anselmino from boca juniors. However, if the want a left footed and english cb, then levi colwill instead of branthwaite. He's younger and again cheaper.

money is a big consideration in man utd transfers. branthwaite should be worth it. tosin also would be an easy picking but now is taken coz maybe they dont need him or man utd still slow as usual. so they will spend big. branthwaite can play those passes that are short like he did often at psv. everton plays more of direct football hence he plays long more. if man utd could negotiate well, 50mil is worth it for branthwaite, everton need the money too, to avoid point deductions for accounting books.
scalvini unfortunately got injured. man utd should look for a young rcb in case they sell maguire or lindelof. a player good enough to start but young enough to have no issue as a rotation to add to branthwaite and martinez. i believe tosin would fit that role.
so adrabioyo and branthwaite would be my obvious choices

Great content as always. Bastoni would work perfectly on the left side. Still, I see todibo being the gettable option given our financial constraints. But, we still need an impressive ball passer just as lisandro Martinez in order to split defenses and release our pacey players upfront, which will still bring us back to bastoni. With the yet to be a well assembled board, trust me, well attract potentially exceptional players. How i wish we go for de zerbi

Nope, Bastoni or other left footed CBs are not the priority. Wth is ETH going to do with martinez if another LCB is bought? We need a proper dominant right footed CB, like Todibo, Antonio Silva or even Bremer. Lindelof or Maguire can be moved on.
LCB is exactly the priority. Martinez, Shaw and Malacia have been out pretty much the whole season. We absolutely need a LCB who can also play at LB. It’s not one or the other you can get both
