The next day he started his preparations for military service and we did not hear from him until about 40 days later on a short “ see you in 2025” livestream. Within the week he started his alternate service on Sept 22. He finishes 6-21-25
One of the most beautiful songs he’s written. I’m in awe of his talent and the emotions he shares and evokes. Truly legendary music. Sakamoto has been a favorite composer/musician of mine since childhood so him collaborating on this song before he passed is incredibly meaningful. Woosungs chorus is hauntingly perfect.
Agustd Said that he wrote this song because this is what he wanted to hear at the Time they debuted and were going through hardships He said that he didn't have the pleasure of getting some seniors who root for them and can learn They were often looked down and were treated badly by the industry He even cried while singing this song on the last day of his tour you should react to it also if u want
The weirdest thing for me is not when people get mad if you dont like what they like, but when people get mad if you dare to like something that they dont like. Telling others that they cant possibly like this or that or they are stupid for liking that, allways amazes me. Let people like what they like and you can like what you like. I love Bts and Agust d especially and Im allways amazed how many people take offense to that, when it shouldnt make any differense to their lives 😂

Before Yoongi released his D-day album this song is from, my favorite solo track of his used to be "So far away" ( from his second mixtape D-2). Snooze is like a twin sister to it and he even incorporated his iconic "Dream... " phrases from So far away to the end of Snooze where he is reciting them directly after 16 x repeated " it will be ok. When I heard this song the very first time I broke down and couldn´t stop crying. Yoongi may have written it with junior colleagues in music industry in mind, but message of the song is universal and can apply to anybody who is going through struggles in life. I have never loved an artist like I love him because I have never felt so understood and so comforted by anybody´s music before. His music and incredible lyrics have been saving lives ( for real). He performed Snooze the last day of his world tour in Seoul ( day 3) and he got incredibly emotional. That day was beyond special. The weird situation with disliking a song happens on both sides. Like you said, it's weird to get offended by someone who dislikes your favorite song or artist. But it's also weird that some people feel the need to spew hate just because they don't like something. I mean, just dislike something normally, leave it alone and move on to stuff that you like. No need to insult the artist and calling them names, no need to insult the fans either. But some people actually go out of their way to hate.
Also a favorite of mine by Yoongi (aka Suga, aka Agust D). Woosung (from "The Rose") adds a beautiful element to the song as well, almost ethereal. In the late 60’s the “hippies” thought they had the answer to life. Of course, they matured and most realized how naive they had been. But today’s young, go way beyond being smug in their youth. And, unfortunately, there is a segment of our adult society that use them to give themselves more power.
