Edwards has sucked the life out of the team and the board left it til the last minutes to make changes. The board needs to recognise we're not a lower league team any more. We need to recruit at least two and ideally three players ready to go straight in as Jones is. Similarly we need a manager who can do the tough business from day one. This crisis comes from fiddling while Rome was burning. There was no need for crisis management but we're there because of a lack of planning and hoping for the best.
Agreed. Best Luton player on pitch. A few misplaced passes and not reading his teammates intentions in one-twos, but wanted the ball and was at the heart of the team, trying to progress into their half/ break up Forests attacks. And most importantly, he resisted flying into challenges and risking a yellow or red card.
Just looking at the stats without having watched the game is quite positive. 8 Shots with 6 on target holding 55% possession with 3 clear cut chances is not a bad thing at all away from home. It's going to be OK for us I think now sadly Rob Edwards had to go, it was for own personal health as much it was for the health of the football club, surviving in the championship where hopefully very soon we can build and go again for the Prem! Cheers Lewis.
@KurtDangerfield they did bring on the big guns in second half, but didn't make alot of difference. I think Holmes and McGuiness did well, what they lacked in pace, they marshalled their players pretty well with borderline tactical fouls, some of which they got away with.
its a shame to be out the cup. always enjoy the fa cup and love a decent cup run. we sadly didnt stand a chance agianst a op forest team. there were some good improvements and some players looked better then normal but theres still alot to work on for the new manager we get in. really looking forward to seeing more of jones
Really subdued atmosphere from us today. No regulars by me. Great for lots of other fans to get a chance to see the team. Luton good fans and a proper team. Our squad is just too good this season. Hope you stay up and Derby go down
You do have a nice ground though, thought tickets (away) steal at £22. All staff/stewards I encountered were plesant. You did what you needed to, to win game. Sels is a monster of a keeper! Does he even need to jump or fully extend his arms to reach the crossbar!!!
@@NW-gj2lmForest 'keeper was Carlos Miguel, and yes, he is a monster. We signed him from Corinthians in Brazil. He is 6ft 4". HIS distribution was poor yesterday, but seems to be a decent shot stopper.
@@markdnffcahh my mistake. Yes he kicked a few out of play. But close up, I thought, they are never going to get a headed corner past this guy, unless it was headed down low at corners!
Next to go must be the training staff who seem to thrive on getting Town players injured ... Out of the door and keep on going! Totally ageee the new manager has a lot of work to do!
Good video and totally agree about Kaminski and I thought that Bell had a bad game again I would rest himfor a few games. Walsh played really well in the game and put many good balls through. I thought Jones speed helped us when he quickly ran back into defense to tackle their fast forwards. I think though it was not too bad a performance. GET RID OF TROLOPPE & KYLE they are the problem and not a solution. Until they go we wont improve. Hopefully when we get in a new Manager they will be shown the door.
If Ross B wants to play football he needs to come back. Went off injured in the Villa game. Think the tv commentator said he has had 5 starts for them. Wages must be better for sure but the way he played and guided Luton Town and lifted the fans must be more rewarding in his later years than warming a bench for Aston Villa, as good as they are right now.
Coming on for 15-30 minutes almost every game when he's fit is not 'warming the bench'. He's playing for a top half PL team who are going to qualify for the Champions League knockouts and that is obviously more appealing than a battle to avoid relegation to League 1.
Well 3rd in prem v bottom of championship I thought we were pretty good. We were passing the ball. It's our attacking part were poor. Our mid field are our best chance of scoring. Morris stop diving
I think Morris needs to have a good look at himself and reinvent Or else leave as he just fumbles and complains! We desperately need new experienced strikers. Also a new captain/leader.
@markypey they had 11 shots we had 8 with 6 on target I don't think that is poor. It's pretty simple they were the better side. Because we lose doesn't mean we were shit or we be selling players every week if possible.
Tom Kraub tries to play football when picked. Plays the ball on the floor & runs his nuts off to win the ball back unlike the lazy fookerz in centre midfield last couple if games. How is Bell getting picked never stops a cross & no intensity in his play just doing as little as possible.
A shame you came for a game that would never produce the usual atmosphere. We’d all like it to be rocking every match, but unfortunately, it’s just not a realistic ask.
According to the club, Chong was injured. Performance was predictable. We huffed and puffed and with little to no movement in the final third, the ball either goes square or back. Superb block by MacG to stop it going to 2-0 before the break. Jones impressed but he too needs to stop taking a leaf out of Chongs book by taking the odd dive. He did that today (so did they in the penalty box) and the ref was having none of it. While our passing did improve, it's still sloppy and in some cases lacked enough pace and maybe just reached its target. Still, we created a few chances. I was puzzled by PT pre match conference about the systems - it's like they have just discovered fire! He did claim we didn't have the personnel to play 4 at the back, which is nonsense when JJ and Nelson have been waiting in the wings. Still, with Plymouth, Coventry and Stoke winning their FA Cup tie, hopefully their focus turns away from Championship football!
I wonder if they have had an enquiries about chong/ bids? They could be preparing him for sale. If the system changes and with incoming players, he might be an expensive luxury in Championship. Although would be sad to see him go. At his best, he can terrorise defences.
Agreed he is a good goalkeeper but not great, not many Premiership clubs will want him I think 💭. However saying that he has saved us at times a lot so deserves credit for that. Put it this way he isn’t a Peter Shilton or Ray Clemance lol 😜!
We need to concentrate on staying up now, so Forest set our priorities for us. We had chances again that is positive however they need to be more clinical. Hopefully as you say our new manager can sort these issues out. Anyway what watched of the match because I was at work we showed effort.

@SoulfulHatter well they got 2 in this window that's gone straight in
Liam walsh was the best luton player against forest, he was so good with the ball and could control our midfield
He done alright for me, did lose the ball a few times. But it's nice to see him play rather than missing due to suspension!
I said that even before he got sent off. Too good to get rid
He's awful and he's a liability

Why did chong not play
Not been playing well but still should be in the squad
I'd like 2 more ross barkley type players
Just go online to the Ross barkley esq player im sure there is one there waiting to play for a team
@burleigh604 just need the club to sign a few...Jones looks decent
I did find a similar player to Ross Barkley that video will come out on Monday!

Understandable like most places. I did see glimpses. Hopefully back again soon

Finally someone says Kaminiski is not the great goalie he thinks he is. He makes great saves - no doubt - but he lets way too many simple goals in.
Sometimes the goals just need him to talk. I don't think the defenders feel confident with him at times.

100% attention must be on the league, and staying clear of the bottom 3.
