Although it was a good thing they entered the war, because without them the allies would have lost, America started butting into other countries' business after that. they entered the Vietnam war with honorable intentions, but it really wasn't needed. Now, America butts its head into everything even though no one asks them to. Sorry for ranting,

As funny as that may sound from our perspective, they do. That's because even in war people need to produce, they need to shop, they need to eat.
Now mind you they wouldn't go to work without caution. But we Americans have the luxury that whenever there is a crisis we can shut down the economy locally for a few days until we are rescued by our government. In many war-torn third-world countries they don't have that luxury.
During the Vietnam War Vietnam did not shut down waiting for the war to conclude. They still needed to tend to the fields, sell produce, etc. Even when our bombs were exploding all around them.
