God, if I had that clown yelling at me, I’d be more than reactive.

This is exactly how i trained my akita

I Didn't have to train my Akitas. Just made sure they get lots of pets, up to the point of being told by others I'm spoiling them. Absolutely zero aggression. Except for small animals, they're prey.

I have an Akita an there are some things wetting with this training method. You are not rewarding him for following combs commands. You are not giving him the proper commands at the right time. I just don't think you know what your doing. You're going to cause him to learn bad habits. Once this breed learns then they are difficult, if not impossible to change.

This so called dogtrainer understands nothing about Akitas, nothing about NoWilltoPlease Dogs, nothing about dogs. Without his abusing tools he's not able walking one step.

I agree this guy doesn’t know what he is doing, but I have an Akita, and I think they can change with proper guidance. He used to be horrible, but with changes in the way I was training him, he changed too.

    Several concerns here.
Owner jerking the lead=action then the dog pulls=reaction. You have set the dog up to fail.
Dog in a sit position but the “trainer” keeps saying “sit.” The dog is already in a “sit” position. If you feel the dog is going to break the position the command should be “stay.” This will be confusing for the dog (and owner) as the dog is already in the sit position and the trainer keeps repeating “sit.”
From a training perspective dogs should be on the left (horses on the right). Although this can be adapted for other exercises for the sake of this video the dogs really should be on the left.
Tort lead: sending the owner’s tensions/stress straight down the lead. The Akita will immediately pick up on this and potentially react upon it. Relax the tension on the lead.
Major concern. If this Akita is potentially reactive why, oh why, is this exercise being taught on a public street? Hope you’ve all good insurance.

He’s reminding the dog to sit. You may not be able to see the dog starting to come out of sit, but he will know. Also, as it’s a reactive dog, and most likely not used to this type of thing, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with reminding the dog. I don’t think either there’s a law to having dogs on the left, yes, it’s more convenient, but not everyone can do that 😊

never use stay, when you say sit the dog should sit until you tell him to break.

Some people use implied sit vs sit, stay. That's owner preference.
Repeating sit isn't bad, some dogs need a reminder to get to the "one and done" phase. The dog is probably breaking it's sit.
The side of a heel is owner preference. We don't know what that owner's body is like on the right vs left side. Look at service dogs, not everyone has full use of both sides.
Public street isn't bad if they know the area. Some people only have a public street to work with. My neighborhood barely had dogs walking through my times of day.
Otherwise, I do agree. Release the pressure. Too many signals at once, confusing.

Why does cry, is that being impatient or not getting what he wants? My dog is very similar!

keep yours on a lead and introduce it to the other then with no aggresion they shuld be ok
any agression then back off and just walk past each other daily so they learn he/she is no threat
