I like the France. The appeal would be the smaller passenger capacity, which would probably appeal to adults more than families. My ideal cruise liner to see reborn would be the Normandie. One beautiful ship!

The Kaguya and the Freedom might be great designs for a future when most coastal cities have sunken to the Ocean.
Freedom can be a great replacement for a cities. Of course in order to make it worth it, they would need to have Installations like farms and fisheries on board or in floating drydocks, to ensure food is in constant supply and a desalination plant to get fresh water constantly

Majority of these concepts I have heard of, and they're all fairly interesting in their own way. Titanic II is easily the one I'm most excited for and have been most excited for, 'cause my favorite ship could get a chance to come back, complete the journey, and have the career it never had.
The France is surprisingly not my most hated design on this list (we'll get to those in a bit). While I'd love for France to get a brand-new flagship, money would've been far better spent on taking the salvaged bow from the original, going back to the Chantiers de L'Atlantique, and rebuilding her from the ground up, either as she was to serve as a hotel, or with some modern upgrades to make her competitive in today's world. This new one that we're seeing, while it does have some fine streamlining, its design is just no.
The modern sailing ships and the Freedom Ship are my most hated designs here. Honestly I'm just realizing that for the former, the sails won't actually be for propulsion, but for storing energy. So I guess they might be a bit more practical than I initially thought. Still not the biggest fan of them though. And the Freedom Ship is an automatic *NO.* Even if it did manage to get enough people to take up residence in it, first of all, how seaworthy of a design is that? And second of all, how practical of a design is that? That thing is far bigger than even the most ridiculously big concepts I've ever seen, both fanmade and seriously proposed. No shot the money can be raised to build and operate something like that, not with how bad inflation is and how much things cost.
Storylines would be the most realistic ship to build if the new resident trend takes off. And while I like Princess Kaguya's design far more and would like to see her launched, again, 1,600-feet is way too big. Then again, the world's biggest ship - the Seawise Giant - is in excess of 1,500-feet, so I guess it's not too far-fetched.
And all I have to say about the Carnival Pinnacle is that it's an awesome cruise ship that, if Carnival is still thinking about it, can indeed be built. Just a comparison, I'm currently designing a ship that I'm hoping will one day be the world's largest ocean liner. Basically taking Knut Kloster's Phoenix/American World City concept but turning it into a regular passenger ship and not a resident ship, she'd be 1,200-feet long, 200-feet wide, and at least 120-feet tall. Pretty realistic by today's standards and definitely a far more realistic concept than most others. I call her Columbia, and you're the first person I've publicly shared this with. Going on Reddit later.

Freedom is not a far fetched if you consider that this can actually replace many Cities after they get eaten by the waters.
Of course they would need to build City-sized Drydocks in the middle of the oceans along the route containing Farms, Fisheries, Cattle Breeding Centers,, Desalination Plants, Waste Treatment Plants, Refueling Stations and Industrial Factories in order to restock supplies and Refuel constantly
As well as including Farms and other installations in the Ships themselves

The Titanic 2 has been on hold indifiently at least from the Blue Star line as the guy in charge of the whole thing has been caught up in funding issues, legal issues, and investors has pulled out of the project. There is replicas being built but, more for stationary type venues. One day someone will build one but, we just have to wait.

The exterior design of the Freedom Ship is just horrendous.

And I'm not sure people would pay a full-price ticket for a third-class stateroom on the Titanic remake, regardless of the novelty.
The SS France 2.0 looks like the base was built then the engineers ripped the funnel out of the original SS France, enlargened them and stuck them on to the ship, imagine what would happen if a wave struck that ship.
All I want is someone to build the SSV Normandy SR2 and I'll be happy.

So as almost all these ships are built out of steel hulls, which rust, there is not chance of economic friendly. Even the U.S.U. Texas a tiny battleship needs about 1,000,000 dollars a year to keep the rust at bay.
I don't see Titanic 2 ever become a reality, at least not as a real cruise ship or rather ocean liner which she was. There is no was to go for full authenticity, just because of the modern security standards. Also, comfort would be a problem. Even the first class cabins would barely cover nowadays idea of comfort. Not to mention of second or third class or crew accommodations. Then, entertainment, back then, pretty much all they could do onboard was sitting around, playing cards, smoke and drink, eat, walk on the promenade or if you were in first class, use the barebone gym, the small indoor pool or the turkish bath. No theater, cinema, casino. Not even TVs in the cabins (if you want to go with authenticity and if you don't, don't even bother). I'm a huge fan of Titanic, but I couldn't see myself spending 5 sea days on it. As a docked museum and maybe hotel, OK, also perhaps as a 1 day cruise experience, but not more.
I would love to cruise on the Titanic II. But, upgrade it to modern amenities and entertainment.
