It was a sensational shot, but a low percentage one. Novak definitely made a conscious decision to loosen up facing match points and play a do or die shot. Brave shot, he then made the most of it and bullied Federer in the last three games to win the match.

Even with all this great play, some of Roger's fans would not approve.
Because in order to prove that "Roger in his prime is the best," the rest of Roger must be weak. And for "Prime Novak, who lost to such Roger many times, is not the GOAT".
They have to put down Roger who is past his prime because they love him,,
    Pathetic.

Amazing push at the last hour by Djokovic. But looking back at this in 2011 and the sea that Federer is playing with a 90 in.² racket with 1980s frame technology and handling Djokovic‘s large modern racket weighed down with lead does make the mind boggle.

From all accounts his medical problems began in 2010. The pain stopped him from stretching or running as much . Seems he didn’t want any sympathy or excuses , so did not speak of it. He definitely lost steam after the 2 nd set and djokovich must have seen that at once… players know. All that and his emotional state , knowing… brave man indeed. One of a kind in so many ways . I couldn’t bear to watch the dismantling when it happened…!!!

    • @captain0159

Yeye, the only reason Federer ever lost was because he got bored or injured or lost steam. Otherwise he and Nadal would have remained forever undefeated. These fedals man, they can never give it to the opponent. Always some bs excuse or backhanded ass compliments.
