Amazing playthrough. The best I've seen, especially if you want a movie-style experience of the full game. Max Payne has the best story line and is one of the only games I can watch/play over and over again without getting tired of it.
i would love to see this game remastered without losing its graphic novel cutscenes (something that was somewhat lost in the third game since it opted to show-off its improved graphics and detail work) its amazing how a tactic used to compensate for the games lack of cgi technology served as the most powerful tool to develop a strong, engaging and coherent story. Anyone who played this game skipping through the cutscenes would have been insane.
It's interesting how limitations often force people to be more creative. The snowstorm that serves as a backdrop to the game was invented by the developers as a way to explain why there were no pedestrians/bystanders, which was due to limitations with the hardware and game engine.
Well now they are remaking it. I know some people didnt like the absence of graphic novel cutscenes in the 3rd Max Payne but sooner or later they had to move on. I hope they do well with the remakes irrespective of whether they keep the cutscenes or not.

I've had this game on the PC, and I've recently bought it for my smartphone. They're about the same. However, the controls aren't as sharp--fortunately, there's auto-aim which I find very useful--there are some character models missing, some missing dialogue and the distorted sounds of gun shots when in bullet-time is gone. Also, you can't even crouch on the mobile version. Other than that, I'd say it's still pretty good for $3.00.

You just ran forward guns blazing with great self assurance and even knowing when to throw a grenade though the enemies could not be seen through the door yet. May I ask you one thing? You can actually "kill" Horne when you're going up that dark stairway towards the end of the game. Have your sniper rifle ready and zoomed in and as soon as she opens the door to spray you and throw a nade at you, shoot her. She goes down but it bugs the game, when Max opens the door, her corpse lies there and he shoots at nothing forever. I managed to kill her with a sniper rifle, M79 and Colt Commando. You can also "kill" her at the Punchinello manor, just cook a grenade right before you open the door. She and some of her goons will blow up and the game continues normally.
This game was so good that not even Hollywood could make it. I still believe that this could be a phenomenon film if done right. Neo-noir like ‘drive’ in 2011 with the game soundtrack and not shitty actors

During the blood trail scenes, all I could ever think of was the cover of Metallica's Load album. Then at 5:16, the first time I heard that I had my system blasting on my PC and it scared the heck out of me.
You make the platforming in this game look easy as shit. It's probably easier to control on PC but on console it can be a real hassle. It's the one thing that I dislike from this series.

During the blood trail scenes, all I could ever think of was the cover of Metallica's Load album. Then at 5:16, the first time I heard that I had my system blasting on my PC and it scared the heck out of me.

Yeah me too. also a Cold day in hell was my least favourite part but the first chapter & last chapter of that part were great levels.

You make the platforming in this game look easy as shit. It's probably easier to control on PC but on console it can be a real hassle. It's the one thing that I dislike from this series.
I’m surprised that no one used sawed of shotgun in part 3 game of Max Payne. Sawed of shotgun is a cool a shotgun.

Finding where to go can sometimes be a pain with no map or objective markers just shows how good gta 3 is
