Agreed. Was running this in GMs with some friends today with incinerator snap and bleak watcher/feed the void and was putting in work. For him to say claw is bad is wild to me.
The problem is what are you giving up. Inmost Light, back in the day, didn’t have the option of additional charges of melees or grenades and it functioned just fine at rotating abilities. Since you spamming two of the same ability back to back doesn’t buff its regen you’re almost better off in many instances just having one charge anyways to force yourself to pace your abilities in the correct rotation (with obviously Consecration and Lightning Surge being a different animal in their own right). To get a second melee charge you don’t really need you are giving up Synthoceps which would make the melee hit much harder (and depending on you could be using a Glaive because they are great in end game if your build needs it and you know how to use it… definitely less useful without an artifact perk unless you use the stasis one for champs… but I’m talking about Incinerator Snap and just throwing something else in there). It wouldn’t be a hard argument to win saying your snap doing 165% more damage in a GM would be more useful than having two of them… I mean mathematically the one snap would hit as hard as 2.65 Incinerator Snap… plus the Bleakwatcher spam is always the thing putting in work.
@@amorfati4927 I think the value that you and Chablo might be missing is the use case of snap. It always makes an ignition so it is best in slot for dealing with anything weaker than a champ (talking about GM level here). Even champs you can snap them, kill everything around them and stun unstops. It already does really good damage to everything else. Synthos is only really buffing the champ damage but you can spec for antichamps elsewhere in your build. Your build would be good as well. I'm just saying that inmost claw definitely can work if you use snap Example build I'm thinking of (GM): - snap to clear most ads (claw helps with uptime). Facet of dawn to get radiant with that. - parasite/prospector/other burst damage for champs - Lost signal/rake angle/tinashas mastery - dark transcendence energy (this is the main downside of running snap IMO) - I like to get my survivability by running Nova Bomb w/ Facet of Purpose as Void overshield is very busted.

The snap melee is worth running claws on. The presumption of extra melee being bad when your gonna run strand melee is true, but sometimes people want to run solar snap melee and running two of them is nice. Plus if you use solar super you get two melees in that super if you have it on
@ completely agree. And yea 99 percent of time people are gonna run strand melee but the only other viable one is the solar snap so that is the only thing I would say makes that perk solid occasionally

Don't have a lock but would really appreciate for hunter and titan. Titan more so as I'm much less familiar and thus not as sure as what to hold onto in my perpetually burgeoning vault.
@@MarluxiaKH0014 that is slightly incorrect star eater rolls are needed on all classes as is assassin's cowl rolls. You need to prepare for any snadbox changes plan ahead not for right now.

Also, don't forget your solo GM use case with which you run your ideas is actually quite unique. So I for one will watch your hunter and titan versions just because of the unique pressure test you are putting the equipment through. Even amongst solo GMer's you're unique. So like sure maybe Tizzle makes a vid but he plays so much more aggressive ability oriented than you do. It's fun just to see the differences. But go where the money takes you, you gotta make this all worth your time.
I have stag on a bond. It states rift provides damage reduction to allies standing in it. How does this work solo, does it provide damage reduction to you on your own?

I was skeptical when you described the focusing trick, but I tried it today. Went to the Pale Heart, selected Stareater, then Necrotic, then Starfire. Went to Xur, bought the class item and......Stareater/Necrotic on the first try. Thank you for the fantastic info

Sort through your rolls. Download the infographic and carefully sift through your rolls. Dont delete too much, we can never know if these spirits will be buffed or nerfed.
@@Chablo91 I agree, but also think these desired rolls aren't too hard to acquire in the off chance the meta changes. Also, because they're class items, stat rolls are not an issue like with other exotic armor.
@@EYErisGames its a 1 in 32 chance to get a roll you deleted back if you have attunement unlocked. I don't like those odds. I will trash exotics that have no synergy. And the guy above should too. But i have been thinking exotic class items have not been buffed or nerfed not even once since TFS. You know what that means right for Apollo

To speak with about Necro/Claw - it's fun to run and the song of flame melee may get a double melee with poison, but keep in mind the range is piss poor and you are likely to be stomped out if melee range for bosses.

had a ton of these toward the end of my playtime but your perspective really made me see things differently. i was all about inmost starfire but i still couldn’t finish any endgame stuff the past year since the resil nerfs😂😂 not easily anyway. although i did get icebreaker my first run of the buggy mess dungeon
i do watch alot of your videos and your really good at what you do 🙂 I've been playing this game for along tyme like you, but I'm not top tier player like you BUT not everything is about meta 🤷 I'm a warlock main and I make some builds for "fun" 🙂 example you say Osmiomancy is trash 🤦 I have some builds that i can throw out lil green monsters over and over yes threadling aren't op but its a "fun" builds for those of us who like strand
Love the video mate! I always appreciate a good build craft video. I don't know what your scripting work is like, but at some points you meandered and it felt like you didn't know where you were going sometimes. Perhaps a more regimented script or at least some bullet points would clear up your pathing on your narration. Ofc nothing but hopefully well-intentioned feedback! Appreciate you!

Claw isn't actually bad if you're using snap melee. Being able to start off an engagement with 2 igniting snap melee is nice. Also you can shoot off more snaps in Song of Flame with Claw.
I’d argue that having Synthoceps and having one snap melee hit as hard as 2.65 Incinerator Snaps is more useful in most end game unless you’re just smacking down very weak trash mobs. Also, I think most people aren’t using Song of Flame in end game to see how fast they can snap through their super energy. It’s usually used to keep alive while shooting stuff + throwing a snap in here or there. Not saying there isn’t a place to just spam the abilities quick but usually that’s not the use for it.
@@amorfati4927 I get where you're coming from. However I didn't say it's the best or better than Syntho, just that it isn't bad tier. In my experience most non-major ADs die from the snap+ignition damage anyway so Syntho doesn't really help much vs being able to proc 2 ignitions. Claw also gives better uptime during Transcendence. For me the rapid snapping is to clear out bundles of ADs as soon as possible especially in GMs like Glassway where the ADs are teleporting in your face and you can't use GL safely. Other times I have it to have better upkeep on Radiant in neutral game.
Everything you say is fact and makes sense to us veteran players and I’m still not great at the game. How in the world does a noob to D2 even have a chance to understand what to build or play when it’s gotten so complicated. I’ve had friends tell me they can’t play this because it’s to advance for beginners and they stop playing. I don’t blame them or a Christmas gifted gamerster just starting. Veterans don’t have time for them. Look at all the KWTD or first time raider and they get left behind. Very frustrating. Cheers

Necrotic claw is my favorite for endgame, claw isn’t amazing in neutral but when transcendent that extra melee is big and when running song of flame you claw gives you constant melee 1 x grenade 2 x melee repeat I have 35k thorn kills from running this setup lol Overall it’s great for ad clear good for damage, I would be open to a better option for claw but the benefits it gives to your transcendence and super would be hard to beat, I usually find myself chaining the two back and forth and during any down time claw is still decent
Okay after thinking about what you said claw is better than I gave it credit for. I dont think its meta but i do think it could be mid to top tier if you are saying it works that well in super plus transcendence.
@Chablo91 spirit of filaments sometimes would not activate devour when facet of protection was equipped. A quick google search will confirm this, and there doesn't seem to be a resolution to this issue either.
@theb1gkp958 i have many comments to reply too. Not once did that happen to me yesterday. As datto has said there are too many bugs for one person to keep an eye on.
@Chablo91 ok that's pretty awesome then. I had that roll, and the bug i mentioned was happening to me, so I deleted it. Might give it another shot because the game play loop looks like a lot of fun.
Wait on vault space resolve this year. In the mean time delete all class items that have bad synergy. Keep synergy class items, but don't delete any best spirit rolls 👍👍
Mate even without gameplay it’s a really solid tutorial, I watched the filament and starfire build and ran this with a filament and synth set up. Bloody brilliant in solo not so good with teams.
@@ianelliott8720 no you are far from the answer. The best stasis build is rime coat the 2nd best stasis build is star fire prismatic watch the previous video for the most information on this subject. Whilst gateway is great it's also limited compared to nowadays
1 in 64 chance and I get the same exact bad roll 2 times in a row from xur on top of 20 plus clears of vesper 1st cp without 1 baton dropping…. I had enough
I watch all your videos brother, I can’t do attunement I haven’t done dual destiny mission. I can’t be bothered with having to wear a headset to play a game.
I personally find warlocks exotic class item to be awful and the worst of the three along with it only being good for boss dps but it now gets beaten by sanguine so it's just way worse than normal exotics and needs major buffs like the titan one got
When doing anything like that do it on PC yeah. Very cool thank you that's nice of you. Channel memberships are the core without it channel would have ended 12 months ago

My opinion has changed over time yes. It's definitely better than I made out. But I don't think it's the absolute best spirit either.

i do watch alot of your videos and your really good at what you do 🙂 I've been playing this game for along tyme like you, but I'm not top tier player like you BUT not everything is about meta 🤷 I'm a warlock main and I make some builds for "fun" 🙂 example you say Osmiomancy is trash 🤦 I have some builds that i can throw out lil green monsters over and over yes threadling aren't op but its a "fun" builds for those of us who like strand

I don't know what your scripting work is like, but at some points you meandered and it felt like you didn't know where you were going sometimes. Perhaps a more regimented script or at least some bullet points would clear up your pathing on your narration.

Claw isn't actually bad if you're using snap melee. Being able to start off an engagement with 2 igniting snap melee is nice. Also you can shoot off more snaps in Song of Flame with Claw.
I stand corrected claw is better than my initial assessment.

I’d argue that having Synthoceps and having one snap melee hit as hard as 2.65 Incinerator Snaps is more useful in most end game unless you’re just smacking down very weak trash mobs.
Also, I think most people aren’t using Song of Flame in end game to see how fast they can snap through their super energy. It’s usually used to keep alive while shooting stuff + throwing a snap in here or there. Not saying there isn’t a place to just spam the abilities quick but usually that’s not the use for it.
@@amorfati4927 I get where you're coming from. However I didn't say it's the best or better than Syntho, just that it isn't bad tier. In my experience most non-major ADs die from the snap+ignition damage anyway so Syntho doesn't really help much vs being able to proc 2 ignitions. Claw also gives better uptime during Transcendence. For me the rapid snapping is to clear out bundles of ADs as soon as possible especially in GMs like Glassway where the ADs are teleporting in your face and you can't use GL safely. Other times I have it to have better upkeep on Radiant in neutral game.

You need to complete dual destiny 3 times on each class. If you only have 1 class then just once.
Everything you say is fact and makes sense to us veteran players and I’m still not great at the game. How in the world does a noob to D2 even have a chance to understand what to build or play when it’s gotten so complicated. I’ve had friends tell me they can’t play this because it’s to advance for beginners and they stop playing. I don’t blame them or a Christmas gifted gamerster just starting. Veterans don’t have time for them. Look at all the KWTD or first time raider and they get left behind. Very frustrating. Cheers

The DOT has the same amount of ticks/spread, but the tick damage doesn't ramp up over time like on OG. Learned that from tizzle.

Necrotic claw is my favorite for endgame, claw isn’t amazing in neutral but when transcendent that extra melee is big and when running song of flame you claw gives you constant melee 1 x grenade 2 x melee repeat
I have 35k thorn kills from running this setup lol
Overall it’s great for ad clear good for damage, I would be open to a better option for claw but the benefits it gives to your transcendence and super would be hard to beat, I usually find myself chaining the two back and forth and during any down time claw is still decent
Okay after thinking about what you said claw is better than I gave it credit for. I dont think its meta but i do think it could be mid to top tier if you are saying it works that well in super plus transcendence.
Is the spirit of filaments when combined with the facet of protection still bugged?

@Chablo91 spirit of filaments sometimes would not activate devour when facet of protection was equipped. A quick google search will confirm this, and there doesn't seem to be a resolution to this issue either.

Mate even without gameplay it’s a really solid tutorial, I watched the filament and starfire build and ran this with a filament and synth set up. Bloody brilliant in solo not so good with teams.

The best stasis build is rime coat the 2nd best stasis build is star fire prismatic watch the previous video for the most information on this subject. Whilst gateway is great it's also limited compared to nowadays
1 in 64 chance and I get the same exact bad roll 2 times in a row from xur on top of 20 plus clears of vesper 1st cp without 1 baton dropping…. I had enough

You lost a lot of credit when you said necrotic was good. The spirit is just ass. It doesn’t scale up damage over time.
I personally find warlocks exotic class item to be awful and the worst of the three along with it only being good for boss dps but it now gets beaten by sanguine so it's just way worse than normal exotics and needs major buffs like the titan one got
