There's NO POPE In The Bible | The Roman Catholic Church Exposed

  • The office of the Pope is not found anywhere in the Bible. It's a lie made up by the apostate catholic church. The Apostate Roman Catholic Church is the harlot that rides the beast in the book of Revelation. The Pope of Rome thinks he is the Vicar of Christ and even claims to be God on earth. Its a blasphemous harlot of a church.
Vines Greek Lexicon: antichristos can mean either "against Christ" or "instead of Christ," or perhaps, combining the two, "one who, assuming the guise of Christ, opposes Christ"

I was baptised as a Catholic just after I was born, but after I found Jesus and did my research, I conclude that Catholicism isn't the way. No where in the Bible does it say to pray to Saints or Mary and to have a human supreme authority over the Church.

There is no difference between what the catholic is doing and what most churches and pastors are doing all over the world, especially in Africa and America.
Christians in most churches see their pastors as supreme beings, they honour their pastors more than Jesus.
All pastors in Africa are called 'daddies'.

Every Catholic doctrine is in complete harmony with Sacred Scripture. That is because the Church and Scripture come from the same Font- Jesus Christ. Protestants reject Church doctrines because the particular word of the doctrine is not in Scripture. So by their logic then you would reject the doctrine of the Blessed Trinity! As for the particular doctrines, as we can see following, they are in complete harmony with Sacred Scripture:
      Scripture and Tradition
“I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I have delivered them to you” (1 Cor. 11:2).“So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.” (2 Thess. 2:15)“You, then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:1-2).“First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:20-21).
      Apostolic Succession
St Paul refers to his own Apostolic Succession and the next 3 Generations of that succession: “You(1st), then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men (2nd) who will be able to teach others (3rd) also” (2 Tim. 2:1-2).All Christians are commanded to obey apostolic succession by St Paul in 1 Corinthians 11:2 and 2 Thessalonians 2:15. For biblical corroboration look at Acts 1:21-26, where you’ll see the apostles, immediately after Jesus’ Ascension, acting swiftly to replace the position left vacant by Judas’s suicide. They prayed for guidance, asking God to show them which candidate was “chosen to take the place in this apostolic ministry from which Judas turned away.” After choosing Matthias they laid hands on him to confer apostolic authority. Look at 1 Timothy 1:6 and 4:14, where Paul reminds Timothy that the office of bishop had been conferred on him through the laying on of hands. Notice in 1 Timothy 5:22 that Paul advises Timothy not to be hasty in handing on this succession of authority to others. In Titus Paul describes the apostolic authority Titus had received and urges him to act decisively in this leadership role.
Faith and Works in response to free saving Grace
“‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,” shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven’” (Matt. 7:21).“For he will render every man according to his works . . .” (Rom. 2:6-8).“For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified” (Rom. 2:13).“What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?” (Jas. 2:14).“So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead” (Jas. 2:17).“But some one will say, ‘You have faith and I have works.’ Show me your faith apart from your works, and I by my works will show you my faith. . . . Do you want to be shown, you foolish fellow, that faith apart from works is barren? (Jas. 2:18-20).“You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone” (Jas. 2:24).
Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist
“‘Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.’ The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’ So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed’” (John 6:47-55).“For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, ‘This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant of my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes” (1 Cor. 11:23-26).“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord” (1 Cor. 11:27).
      The Papacy
“And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every infirmity. The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter . . .” (Matt. 10:1-2).“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven’” (Matt. 16:18-19).“‘Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren’” (Luke 22:31-32).“When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?’ He said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.’ He said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’ A second time he said to him, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ He said to him, ‘Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.’ He said to him, ‘Tend my sheep.’ He said to him the third time, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ And he said to him, ‘Lord, you know that I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep’” (John 21:15-17).
      Purgatorial Cleansing
“Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny” (Matt. 5:25-26).“Each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire” (1 Cor. 3:13-15).“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit; in which he went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly did not obey . . .” (1 Peter 3:18-20).“But nothing unclean shall enter it [heaven] . . .” (Rev. 21:27).“For if he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for those who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Therefore he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin” (2 Macc. 12:44-45).
Honor Due to the Virgin Mary
“And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, ‘Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?’” (Luke 1:41-43).“And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name’” (Luke 1:46-49).
The Prayers of the Saints in Heaven
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely . . .” (Heb. 12:1).“And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints” (Rev. 5:8).

YOU = Long story short as an adult now I was converted to Christianity with serious Bible studies and got all my answers there that I couldn’t get when I was catholic
ME = Are you reading the Bible correctly ?
Protestants believe that Jesus paid for all sin, as we could not pay the sin debt. Jesus paid it all once for all. And they sadly believe that God will forgive, not only sins against God, but also sins against Neighbour.= Check Matthew 6:14-15 and Matthew 18:32-35.
I urge you to read a = Red-Letter Bible = precisely to clear any misunderstandings you may have had about being " saved." I now present the examples of Ananias and Sapphira from the 1st Christian - Faith - community who were " executed " by God for just dishonesty and lying - Acts 5. And Jesus' threat to spew out and vomit the lukewarm Laodicean church - Rev 3. Obviously, these people were = not = saved. Moreover, the final judgement is based on works of Love = Matthew 25. This statement is by Jesus, God and Judge.
Protestants have long been weaned on Paul's letters and wrongly equate " saved " with being granted "heavenly citizenship." This is despite the fact that Paul stated in Galatians 5:19-21 that Christians who do works of the flesh will = not = inherit the kingdom of God. In other words they will not receive heavenly citizenship.
Protestants base their theology - their basic belief systems and doctrines, instead of the 4 Gospels, on Paul's letters especially =For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; 9it is not from works, so no one may boast = Ephesians 2:8-9 = and have arrived at religious philosophy that is distant from practical Christianity.
Protestants believe that Jesus came to earth to die and take away all sins and its guilt association. His cry - It is finished - proved that human redemption from sin was completed, and that those who believe in Jesus would have their names forever written in the Lamb's Book of Life and at the time of death, they would be - absent in the flesh, present with the Lord forever - no matter how many or how grievous they committed sins. Others would be caught up and - raptured - to be with Jesus forever. Thus the promise of salvation was God's free gift - grace - to them.
Catholics, on the other hand, believe that when Adam and Eve sinned, God not only cast them from Eden, and laid - Original Sin - on all their descendants, but also slammed the gates of Heaven shut. God then required that a man must pay the penalty of the man Adam's sin in order to atone for the Original Sins of mankind and thereby open Heaven's gates. However, no man was found to be worthy - sinless - so in the fullness of time, God sent His Son, Jesus, to live sinlessly and die to pay that penalty.. It is finished - was Jesus' cry of Mission accomplished and that Heaven was now open. And that all = original = sins of those past, those present and those still unborn would be forever wiped away. And that Baptism is a one-time - Grace - event that washes all prior sins - 1 Peter 3:21 - However, we are responsible for all sins after. Saved by grace is thus Jesus' freewill offering of Himself to pay the penalty of Adam's sin and thereby open the gates of Heaven.
Note = While the Catholic doctrine is not in the Bible, we understand that Jesus did a = world of -unrecorded - Works = John 21:25. As a result 2 traditions ensued - oral and written - 2 Thess. 2:15 - which are of equal merit
Paul declares the Bible - useful and profitable - in 2 Timothy 3:16, but that the CHURCH is the Bulwark and Pillar of TRUTH - 1 Timothy 3:15. That is because the Church, the community of Believers, came first - Matthew 16:18 - and incorporates both the written word as well as the oral tradition - 2 Thessalonians 2:15. Moreover, Paul declares - Ephesians 1:23 - The church is Christ's body, Thus it is the Church, the BODY of Christ, that can rightfully proclaim the WORD of God
Biblically, the Protestant position is un-supported and the Catholic position correct because of the following

to understand why your stupid interpretation of Matthew 23:9 does not work, you must first understand the used of the word “father” in reference to our earthly fathers, no one would deny a little girl the opportunity to tell someone that she loves her father, common sense tells us that Jesus was not forbidding this type of use of the word “father,” in fact, to forbid it would rob the address “father” of its meaning when applied to god, for there would no longer be any earthly counterpart for the analogy of divine fatherhood, the concept of god’s role as father would be meaningless if we obliterated the concept of earthly fatherhood, but in bible the concept of fatherhood is not restricted to just our earthly fathers and god, it is used to refer to people other than biological or legal fathers, and it used as a sign of respect to those with whom we a special relationship, for example, Joseph tells his brother of a special fatherly relationship god had given him with the king of Egypt: “so it was not you who sent me here, but god: and he has made me a father to pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt, job indicates he played a fatherly role with the less fortunate: “i was a father to the poor, and i searched out the cause of him whom i did not know” ( job 29:16), and god himself declares that he will give a fatherly role to Eliakim, the steward of the house of David,”in that day I will call my servant Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah…and I will clothe him with (a)robe, and will bind (a)girdle on him,and I will commit…authority to his land: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah”( Isaiah 22:20-21) this type of fatherhood applies not only to those who are wise counselors ( like Joseph) or benefactors ( like job) or both ( like Eliakim): it also applies to those who have a fatherly spiritual relationship with one, for example, Elisha cries, “my father, my father!” to Elijah as the latter is carried up to heaven in a Whirlwind ( 2 kings 2:12 ), later, Elisha himself is called a father by king of Israel ( 2 kings 6:21 ),some Protestant like you, argue that this usage changed with the New Testament-that while it may have been permissible to call certain men “father” in the Old Testament, since the time of Christ, it’s no longer allowed, this argument fails for several reasons, first, as we’ve seen, the imperative “call no man father” does not apply to one’s biological father, it also doesn’t exclude calling one’s ancestor “father,” as is shown in acts 7:2, where Stephen refers to “our father Abraham,” or in Romans 9:10, where Paul speaks of “our father Isaac,” second, there are numerous examples in the New Testament of the term “father” being used as a form of address and reference, even for men who are not biologically related to the speaker, there are, in fact, so many uses of “father” in the New Testament, that the objection to Catholics calling priests “father” must be wrong, as we shall see, third, a careful examination of the context of Matthew 23 shows that Jesus did not intend for his words here to be understood literally, the whole passage reads, “but you are not called rabbi,” for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren, and call no man your father on earth, for you have one father, who is in heaven, neither be called ‘master,’ for you have one master, the Christ, ( Matthew 23:8-10), the first problem is that although Jesus seems to prohibit the use of term “teacher,” in Matthew 28:19-20, Christ himself appointed certain men to be teachers in his church: “go therefore and make disciples of all nations….teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you,” Paul speaks of his commission as a teacher: “for this I was appointed a preacher and apostle…a teacher of the gentiles in faith and truth” ( 1 Timothy 2:7) “for this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher” ( 2 Timothy 1:11) he also remind us that the church has an office of teacher.

@@alejandroumaslay3657 let me explain why your long winded and unhinged response is retarded with just one simple point. There were two separate words in the Greek that translate to father in the Bible. 'Patera' which simply means like a biological father, and 'Patēr' which means heavenly Father. We don't have two different words to distinguish between the two in the English language, so you either have to specify by adding "heavenly" or we sometimes just indicate this with a capital 'F.' The Catholics refer to the "church fathers" and their priests as the Patēr meaning heavenly Father. So your long ass drivel of nonsense was utterly pointless and didn't refute the argument whatsoever. In fact, your explanation is far worse than what I normally hear from Catholics, trying to assert that this verse was merely hyperbolic. Catholics will do anything but accept the Word of God for what it Says.

Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship/adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture. 😮

    • @NEWNATURE777

The origin of the Catholic Church is the tragic compromise of Christianity with the pagan religions that surrounded it. Instead of proclaiming the gospel and converting the pagans, the Catholic Church “Christianized” the pagan religions and “paganized” Christianity. By blurring the differences and erasing the distinctions, the Catholic Church made itself attractive to the idolatrous people of the Roman Empire. One result was the Catholic Church becoming the supreme religion in the Roman world for centuries. However, another result was the most dominant form of Christianity apostatizing from the true gospel of Jesus Christ and the true proclamation of God’s Word.😮

Biblical textual critics, Atheists, Jews, Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and others claim that the Trinity is not found in the new testament. But we as Christians know that within the text, within the way Jesus describes himself, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, that it is the truth.
Simply because something isn't referred to by name, or explicitly described does not make it false. This is true with the Trinity; the same argument can be made for the papacy and many of the other things you listed.
Quick note: "co-redemptrix" is not a dogma or doctrine in the Catholic Church, unlike the other Marian statements you mentioned. There are many who would like it to be, but as of yet it is not taught by the Catholic Church to be definitive in any way.

In every gospel list of the 12 apostles, Peter is first and Judas last, Peter specifically, and not the other apostles, was given the keys (Matthew 16:18-19), Peter specifically, and not the other apostles, was tasked with feeding the sheep (John 21:16-17). @@zdy373 Yahweh is based on the consonants YHWH, which is one of the names for God used in the Old Testament. In ancient Hebrew, the vowels were not normally written. This would not have been a problem for native speakers and readers. Jehovah is the same name based on the Latin equivalents of the Hebrew letters: JHVH. Jehovah became the English translation of the Latin form of the Hebrew name. For all practical purposes, Jehovah and Yahweh are the simply English and Hebrew pronunciations for God’s name. However, it has become more popular in recent years to use Yahweh instead of Jehovah because it is technically more accurate.
The name Yahweh comes from the Hebrew word for “I am.” When God met Moses at the burning bush and commanded him to go back to Egypt and lead the people out, Moses asked who he should say has sent him. “God said to Moses, ‘I am who I am.’ And he said, ‘Say this to the people of Israel: “I am has sent me to you.”’ God also said to Moses, ‘Say this to the people of Israel: “The LORD [YHWH], the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.” This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations’” (Exodus 3:14-15).
Several things must be noted here in order to properly understand the significance of the name Yahweh.
First, the tetragrammaton, which is the technical term for the four letters YHWH, is based on the Hebrew word for “being.” It could be translated “I am who I am” or “I will be what I will be” or perhaps even “I am the One who is.” Regardless of the specific translation, the name speaks of the self-existence and self-sufficiency of God. All others are dependent upon Him for life and breath and existence. He is dependent upon no one. It is for this reason that the Jewish leadership in Jesus’ day thought it was scandalous, blasphemous, and worthy of death for Jesus to utter the words “Before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58-59).
Second, the ancient Hebrew scribes considered God’s name too sacred to write or pronounce. When vowels were later added to the text, the scribes took the vowels from the word adonai, which means “lord” or “master,” and inserted them between the consonants. Instead of pronouncing Yahweh, they simply pronounced the word Adonai. Following this practice, most English versions of the Bible translate YHWH as “LORD” (all capital letters) as seen in Exodus 3:15, above. When the Scripture speaks of the Lord YHWH, then the English versions will have “Lord GOD” with the word God in all capital letters. So, both LORD and GOD in English versions stand for YHWH. The pronunciation yäˌwā is our best estimate of how YHWH would have been pronounced. Since we do not have the original vowels, we cannot know for sure. The significance is in the meaning, not the pronunciation, just as Jehovah is still a sacred name, even if it is not a technically correct spelling.
Yahweh is the covenant name for the God of Israel. In Exodus 3:15, as Yahweh speaks to Moses, He says that He is also the God of the patriarchs. Then He says, “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them” (Exodus 6:3). This declaration drives us to further study, because both Noah (in Genesis 9:26) and Abraham (in Genesis 22:14) spoke of Yahweh by that name. Moses himself seems to suggest that the Hebrews were already familiar with the name Yahweh (in Exodus 4:1). How, then, should we understand God’s statement that He did not make Himself known to the patriarchs by the name Yahweh? The answer seems to be that, whereas Noah, Abraham, et al., knew the name Yahweh-and thus knew that God is eternal and faithful-they never experienced the full impact of that name. God had manifested Himself as ”Almighty” but not as “the absolute Being working with unbounded freedom in the performance of His promises“ (Keil and Delitzsch, Biblical Commentary on the Old Testament). For those before Moses, the fulfillment of God’s promises remained distant, and their view of the character of God was murky. That was about to change with the exodus, as God delivered His people with great miracles and kept His promise to Abraham. Other names for God might be considered descriptive, but Yahweh is personal. It is by this name that He covenants with and leads the nation of Israel.
Yahweh is the name of Israel’s God and the God who came to earth as Jesus Christ, Yahweh in the flesh. Matthew 1:21 says, “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” The name Jesus is from the Latin form of the Greek form of Yeshua, which literally means “Yahweh saves.” So Yahweh will save His people from their sins, and simultaneously Jesus will save His people from their sins. This is just one of many instances where Jesus and Yahweh are equated.

There is a saying among religious Jews of today concerning divine truth written in their holy Bible (The Old Testament), which is that anything true is not new, and anything new is not true. This means that anything considered as "divine truth" is measured against the standards of the Old Testament. This idea corresponds to the following Bible verses:
      1)
      Isaiah 8:20
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Question = Which is the True Church ?
Of all the religions, our - Living - God has favoured Roman Catholic Christianity, more than all others, with His presence and manifestations in the past 2,000 years. Catholics have been favoured with Eucharistic Miracles- like the 1996 Eucharistic Miracle of Buenos Aires, Argentina & in Lanciano, Italy in the 8th C - among many other miracles
(( Note - Satanists will steal a consecrated " Catholic " Holy Communion host for use in their diabolical " Black Masses'' They will keep away from the communion hosts of near-Catholic but Protestant denominations like the Anglicans, Methodists and the Lutherans precisely because these don't have the Presence of Jesus. ))
In Acts 2:27 - we read - For God will not allow His Holy one to undergo corruption. Likewise, God has clothed with incorruptibility the corpses of Catholic saints who have led a holy life in conformity with Jesus. The 500 year incorrupt corpse of St. Francis Xavier, which resides in Goa, India.is one example. The incorrupt corpse of the Lebanese St. Charbel Makhlouf is another example.
Fr. Albert Hebert has compiled a list of over 400 resurrections of people who died but were raised to life by many Catholic saints. His book - Raised from the Dead - is available in book-stores.
Jesus, our Living God, has appeared to many saints.
In the 14th C, Jesus appeared to St. Bridget of Sweden who was much desirous of knowing about his agony He endured on the Way to Calvary - in other words, His Passion & Death. For a whole year Jesus taught her 15 Prayers and attached Promises to anyone who repeats these Prayers continuously for a year - the 1st Promise being - Jesus will deliver 15 souls of his/her lineage from Purgatory. ( Note - you can check the Internet under - The 15 Prayers of St. Bridget - and also view the Promises. )
And in the 1930's, not yet a hundred years ago, Jesus appeared almost daily to a Polish Nun, Sr. Faustina, and taught her the following prayer - Eternal Father, I offer you the Body & Blood, Soul & Divinity of your dearly Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. In atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world. - This is in line with The Lord's Prayer which is pluralistic with the words - Our, Us, We, etc. (( Note = Sr Faustina kept a Diary of Jesus visits which is available from book-stores with its Title - Divine Mercy in My Soul I urge you to purchase a copy and read it. ))
In 1995, Jesus appeared to a Nigerian named Barnabas and gave him the Devotion to His Precious Blood.
Mary has appeared in many places like Lourdes, France and Fatima, Portugal, and Guadalupe, Mexico City, Mexico - among many other places and at different times. Moreover, She has appeared for 3 years nightly over a Coptic Church in Zeitoun, Egypt and pictures of her are available on the Internet.
Lastly, before the Catholic Church declares a person - Saint - 2 first class miracles must be attributed to that deceased person - miracles which are mostly authenticated by non-Catholic doctors and professionals.
On the other hand, the agents of Satan, Communists and Masons - aka Free-Masons - have long sought to infiltrate the Catholic Church clergy and thus undermine its teachings
In the 1960's, ex-Communist executive of the Communist Party of USA, Bella Dodd testified before the US Congress that the Communists had sent over a 1,000 men into Catholic seminaries (( Note - this can be checked on the Internet. ))
Undoubtedly, the Catholic Church has been favoured by our Living God and at the same time has been the target of God's enemies - because she represents the Truth regarding her Doctrine.
Secondly, The Bible is, historically, a dated book as it records only to the 1st Century. Thus we read only the deaths of Judas and James but not about the other 10 Apostles or of Paul as to when, where and how they died. Does it mean that, because their deaths are not recorded, that they are still alive ?? Obviously not.
And the Bible declares that Jesus performed a = World of Works = which are unrecorded - John 21:25.
As a result 2 traditions ensued - oral and written - 2 Thess. 2:15 - which are of equal merit.
By "Sola Scriptura" Protestants are only receiving part of Divine Truth thus resulting in so many denominations.
The Catholic Church was founded on Peter's declaration of Jesus' Divinity - Matt. 16:16 and Jesus' promise - Matt 16:17-19- and holds to both traditions. It is the Church of the Living God and the Pillar and Bulwark of Truth - 1 Timothy 3:15
Thirdly, Protestantism is a religious philosophy - a hearer and not doer of the Word thus deceiving themselves - James1:22.
While there is belief in Christ to be sure, there is no substance, no rules and regulations, no forms of worship and thanksgiving to our God Jesus for His - WORKS - of creation and redemption. There is no Confession as per the formula that Jesus gave on the very day of His Resurrection from the dead , when He - empowered - His Apostles to forgive sins - or - retain them- John 20:22-23. There is no participation in Holy Communion which Jesus declared was - Real Food and Drink - for ETERNAL LIFE - John 6:53-58. Even their churches have no kneelers to kneel and bow down before our God and Maker. And there is no difference between Protestant marriage with - easy - divorce and non-Christian ones.

Regarding why Catholics believe that Peter was the 1st Pope, we have Apostolic Succession whereby the church continues after Jesus' Heavenly ascension and the death of the Apostles.
The Bible indicates that Jesus had an " inner circle " comprising Peter, James and John whom He took alone to select places like His Transfiguration, the raising of Jairus' daughter to life, and the Garden of Gethsemane before His Passion and Death.
Even in this " inner circle " the Bible always ranks Peter ahead of James and John
Catholics believe that Papal authority was given to Peter, the 1st Pope, on Peter's declaration of Jesus' Divinity and Son of the Living God - Matthew 16:16 and Jesus' response of - You are Rock on which I will build My church - Mat. 16:18 - together with Jesus' entrustment of the Keys to the Kingdom to Peter alone- Matthew 16:18-19.
It was confirmed after Jesus' Resurrection, when Jesus questioned Peter's love 3 times, firstly to assuage Peter's guilt regarding his thrice betrayal, but most importantly to seal Peter's pastoral role of spiritually feeding Jesus' followers - His lambs and sheep - John 21. In John 21 verse 19 concludes with Jesus, the Good Shepherd. who directed Peter - FOLLOW ME. This directive made only to Peter can only be interpreted as Jesus' successor.
Note: Jesus entrusted the keys of Heaven **only* to Peter - Mat. 16:19 - and empowered Peter that whatever, he bound and loosed on earth, would also be bound and loosed in Heaven.
On the other hand, on the very day of his resurrection from the dead - John 20:22-23 - Jesus breathed on His Apostles, including Peter, His own Spirit, and empowered them to forgive - or bind - sins. Jesus' breath was similar to the one which gave the life-force to the earth-created Adam - Genesis 2:7
Of the 12 Apostles, only Peter had his name changed from Simon to represent his new authority and role from being a fisherman to being a Fisher of Men - Matthew 4:19. It is true that Paul also had his name changed from Saul - a Persecutor of the church to becoming its Promoter among the pagans.
Moreover, of all the Apostles the Resurrected Jesus appeared to Peter first - Luke 24:34.
Peter was the 1st to perform the miracle of healing - Acts 3
When the couple Ananias and Sapphira lied to the 1st Christian community, it was Peter who confronted them and God " executed " them - Acts 5
Peter was the 1st to raise the dead Tabitha to life - Acts 9
Peter was the 1st to introduce Gentiles to the church - Acts 10
Without a Magisterium, Protestant ministers have become their own teaching authority which has resulted in thousands of denominations. Protestant ministers have become dependent on the " itching ears " of their congregations and can be voted out of office - something which is not Biblical. The "Prosperity" doctrine, now in vogue, is one of the results despite Jesus' declaration that - To be My disciple, you MUST take up your Cross daily, deny yourself, and follow Me.

ME = Where does scripture say when, how and where did St Peter die ?
Secondly= Catholics believe that Peter went to Rome where he was crucified. I have taken the following excepts from Wikipedia
Saint Peter (died between AD 64 and 68), also known as Peter the Apostle, Simon Peter, Simeon, Simon, or Cephas (lit. 'rock'), was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ and one of the first leaders of the early Christian Church. He appears repeatedly and prominently in all four New Testament gospels as well as the Acts of the Apostles.
According to Christian tradition, Peter was crucified in Rome under Emperor Nero. The ancient Christian churches all venerate Peter as a major saint and as the founder of the Church of Antioch and the Church of Rome, but they differ in their attitudes regarding the authority of his successors.
Catholic and Orthodox tradition accredits him as the first bishop of Rome‍-‌or pope‍-‌and also as the first bishop of Antioch. Based on contemporary historical data, his papacy is estimated to have spanned from AD 30 to his death, which would make him the longest-reigning pope, at anywhere from 34 to 38 years; however, this has never been verified.
Saint Irenaeus (c. 130 - c. 202 AD) explains the Apostle Peter, his See, and his successors in book III of Adversus Haereses (Against Heresies).[10] In the book, Irenaeus wrote that Peter and Paul founded and organized the Church in Rome
The writings of the 1st century Church Father Ignatius of Antioch (c. 35 - c. 107) refer to Peter and Paul giving admonitions to the Romans, indicating Peter's presence in Rome.[123]
Irenaeus of Lyons (c. 130 - c. 202) wrote in the 2nd century that Peter and Paul had been the founders of the Church in Rome and had appointed Linus as succeeding bishop.[124][125]
Clement of Alexandria (c. 150 - c. 215) states that "Peter had preached the Word publicly at Rome (A.D. 190)."[12
The leadership of Peter forms the basis of the Apostolic succession and the institutional power of orthodoxy, as the heirs of Peter,[74] and is described as "the rock" on which the church will be built.[70] Catholics refer to him as chief of the Apostles,[101] as do the Eastern Orthodox[102] and the Oriental Orthodox.[103][104] In Coptic Orthodox Church liturgy, he is once referred to as "prominent" or "head" among the Apostles, a title shared with Paul in the text
      Peter's successor
      =================
According to book III, chapter 3 of Against Heresies (180 AD) by Irenaeus of Lyons, Linus was named as Peter's successor and is recognized by the Catholic church as the second Bishop of Rome (pope), followed by Anacletus, Clement of Rome, Evaristus, Alexander, Sixtus, Telesphorus, Hyginus, Pius, Anicetus, Soter and Eleutherius.[117]
In his book Church History, Eusebius notes that Linus succeeded Peter as the bishop of the Church in Rome.[118]
As to the rest of his followers, Paul testifies that Crescens was sent to Gaul; but Linus, whom he mentions in the Second Epistle to Timothy as his companion at Rome, was Peter’s successor in the episcopate of the church there, as has already been shown.

@@shanebell2514 The most important purpose is salvation and following Jesus = the Way, Truth and Life.
The question arises = Is the Pope, or for that matter any Protestant pastor, leading one to Jesus or away from Jesus. Let's examine the issue
Protestants are = quick = to forward " theoretical " examples, but when pressed to provide " practical " Biblical examples in support of these theoretical verses, they are Lost
Protestants believe that Jesus paid for all sin, as we could not pay the sin debt. Jesus paid it all once for all. And they sadly believe that God will forgive, not only sins against God, but also sins against Neighbour.= Matthew 6:14-15 and Matthew 18:32-35.
I urge you to read a Red-Letter Bible precisely to clear any misunderstandings you may have had about being " saved." I now present the examples of Ananias and Sapphira from the 1st Christian - Faith - community who were " executed " by God for just dishonesty and lying - Acts 5.
Protestants base their theology - their basic belief systems and doctrines, instead of the Gospels, on Paul's letters especially =For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; 9it is not from works, so no one may boast = Ephesians 2:8-9 = and have arrived at religious philosophy that is distant from practical Christianity.
While the Catholic doctrine is not in the Bible, we understand that Jesus did a = world of -unrecorded - Works = John 21:25. As a result 2 traditions ensued - oral and written - 2 Thess. 2:15 - which are of equal merit Paul declares the Bible - useful and profitable - in 2 Timothy 3:16, but that the CHURCH is the Bulwark and Pillar of TRUTH - 1 Timothy 3:15.

I'll gladly take the qualifier of "Roman" Catholic. Rome is the city of the saints, the martyrs and the Apostles (namely Sts. Peter and Paul), who consecrated it in their blood. All the institutions of the old republic and empire, the world's then greatest and most evil empire, would be transformed by the guidance of the Holy Ghost into the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, mother and teacher to all the faithful throughout the world.
Do you like your Bible? Thank the Catholic Church which once and for all ratified the canon of scripture at the Council of Rome in 382AD.

Ah yes, the "the Bible selected its own books" theory...good stuff.
You're certainly correct about the pagan Roman emperors putting the Roman Martyrs to death. Catholics honor and revere their memories and all that they gave to bring the faith of Christ to us. They are revered to such an extent that we remember them in the canon of Mass by invoking the names of some of them: Stephen, Matthias, Barnabas, Ignatius, Alexander, Marcelinus and Peter, Felicity and Perpetua, Agatha, Lucy, Agnes, and Cecilia. The memories of the Roman martyrs are also preserved in the names of the nearly 1,000 churches some great, many very small, that dot the urban landscape of Rome. In most cases, they are so named because the bones of those very martyrs are contained in the crypts if not the altar stones of those churches.
As for the Catholic Church and its leaders being sinners…why that’s impossible! There’s no way Popes and Bishops have committed sins! 😉
The complete historic record shows however that Martin Luther was a notorious J*w hater who commended his followers in burning synagogues, stealing their material possessions and for winking and nodding at their killing (See his lovely little book entitled “On the J*ws and their Lies”). He also turned his wrath on German peasants who were being brutalized by the German princes who happened to be his political allies and financial supporters. He originally counseled said princes to go easy on the peasants, but eventually they were raining on his parade a bit too much for his comfort, enough for him to lose his notoriously volcanic temper and write to the princes this statement in his pamphlet entitled “Against the Murderous, Thieving Hordes of Peasants”: "Let everyone who can, smite, slay, and stab, secretly or openly ... nothing can be more poisonous, hurtful, or devilish than a rebel. It is just as one must kill a mad dog; if you do not strike him he will strike you." They were happy to oblige him of course and this became the first torrent of blood that Martin Luther's ideas let flow.
Germany would be emptied of population due to all the wars he touched off to the point that it would not recover it’s pre-reformation numbers until the 19th and even 20th centuries. And it wasn’t just warring between Catholic and Protestant armies. It was Protestant groups slaughtering other Protestant groups. Look up the history of the Anabaptists in Germany for some wild stories.
Henry VIII and Elizabeth I slaughtered thousands (at least) of English Catholics who wished not to go along with the imposition of what would become the Anglican Church. Many of them met their fate at the Tyburn Tree.
As for Pope Francis, Our Lord and His promise that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church is stronger than any man, any Pope and any stupid thing they say. The Catholic Church has persevered not because of the terrible men who have been counted among its Bishops, but in spite of them. The first Pope was sternly rebuked by Jesus, multiple times, but he was also commended by Jesus multiple times. It has been so ever since.
      Peace.

(Start with John 6) 3 All Catholic prayer is ultimately to God So in the prayer to Our Lady we have ""Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the end of our death Amen" 4 Catholicism does not have different beliefs within Catholicism It is the complete opposite of the free for all in Protestantism. 5/ I got married in a Baptist Church etc and have studied different denominations and have many protestant friends and can see many are my brothers and sisters in Christ but know many tell lies about Catholicism and are just ignorant hate preachers......... 6/ Transform your lives .... come to Christ in HIS Catholic Church as 3 Church of England bishops have done in the last two years !!

Peter is mentioned more than all of the other apostles combined. In every gospel list of the 12 apostles, Peter is first and Judas last, Peter specifically, and not the other apostles, was given the keys (Matthew 16:18-19), Peter specifically, and not the other apostles, was tasked with feeding the sheep (John 21:16-17). One who feeds sheep is a Shepard, and the sheep is a metaphor for the believers. So out of all the apostles, Jesus made Peter the shepherd over believers.

    2 gigantic problems.
    1) the argument that in the Greek the feminine and masculine form of “rock” must refer to two different things completely breaks down when you remember Jesus almost certainly spoke Aramaic. The only word for “rock in Aramaic is Kepha, transliterated in the New Testament as “Cephas”. Getting stuck on the Greek is a rookie mistake that serious Protestant scholars have acknowledged as a terrible argument.
    2) the “keys of the kingdom” are not, as stated in the video, given to all the apostles in Matt 18. Only the authority to bind and loose. (Teaching authority in the Church) the keys are uniquely given to Peter. The narrator reveals a lack of Old Testament familiarity by missing the point completely here. The keys of the kingdom are a direct allusion to Isaiah 22:15-25.
The “master of the house” (the one left in charge while the king is away from the palace” has the keys. He has the authority to “open and shut”. He is called a “Father” (pope means papa, father) to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Judea, and he holds an office. (Succession) Jesus gives the keys of HIS kingdom to Peter, unique among all the disciples.
    Peace.

SO TRUE! The papacy is not found in the Bible.
Neither are the words "trinity", "rapture", or "bible" found in scripture. This argument assumes that all Christian doctrine is explicitly described in the Bible, even though this teaching itself is not found in Scripture.
According to Scripture, Christ founded a visible Church that would never go out of existence and had authority to teach and discipline believers (see Matt. 16:18-19, 18:17). St. Paul tells us this Church is “the pillar and foundation of truth” (1 Tim. 3:15) and it was built on “the foundation of the apostles” (Eph. 2:20). Paul also tells us the Church would have a hierarchy composed of deacons (1 Tim. 2:8-13); presbyters, from where we get the English word priest (1 Tim. 5:17); and bishops (1 Tim. 3:1-7).
At the end of the first century, Clement of Rome, who according to ancient tradition was ordained by Peter himself, wrote, “Our apostles knew through our Lord Jesus Christ that there would be strife for the office of bishop . . . [so they made preparations that] . . . if they should die, other approved men should succeed to their ministry” (Letter to the Corinthians 44:1-3).
The Bishop of Rome is referred to as the Pope who is the successor of Peter.

Where in the 27 books of the NT does the historical Jesus say he was going to leave a book of 27 letters to be the ultimate authority? If writing were to be the ultimate and only authority, don’t you think Jesus would be writing teachings down. But we have no such works. Before He ascended, He didn’t command the Apostles to go write things down. He didn't say, I know your 27 books aren’t composed at the moment but in the next 20 years, you will start to write books and once they are composed this is your ultimate and final authority. No one in those 20 years said “let me go read these books so I can know for sure what Jesus is teaching” or “before I go do this let me read what Jesus said about this.” Nothing was solely based on the 27 NT books because the written books of the NT did not exist for 20 years after Jesus ascended. That's not an opinion just an historical fact! No one was saying I know Jesus because "iThink Biblically"

Great video brother. However, I do have to offer a small but important correction. Petros and Petra have no difference in meaning. They are simply gendered differently. Petros does not mean “small rock”. The word for a Little Rock would be “lithos”. No Greek grammarian has ever claimed that Petros and Petra mean something different, and even the reformers acknowledged that there is no difference in meaning other than the gendered case being different to match the subject they are tied to. Peter cannot be called “Petra” only because he is a male, not because Matthew intentionally changed the “word” (which he didn’t). He used the same word, only with a different gender case ending. I do think if we are going to refute the Catholics, we need to be accurate in our refutations. Much love.

Since you claim there is no "purgatory " Then please explain where Jesus' Spirit went for the 3 days his body was dead? Sacred Scripture says ",, that he went and preached to the spirits who lay in prison. " ( 1 Peter 3:19) Where was this prison? was it in Heaven? If so why would there be a prison in Paradise? Was the prison in the Hell of the Damned? If so why would the damned need to hear the Gospel? .
as you say there is no "purgatory" then Jesus did not have to die on the cross. If Moses and Abraham and the rest of the OT Faithful were already in the presence of the Lord then Jesus did not have to die.
His death on the cross opened the narrow gate and the OT faithful passed through that narrow gate from the wilderness into the Promised land.
The OT Faithful that died waiting for the Messiah weren't in slavery in Egypt- the antetype of hell of the damned for they had been rescued but they weren't in the Promised land of heaven either. Jesus' death opened the narrow gate and fulfilled the Covenant. Please study the Hebrew thoughts of Sheol and the grave, and note that Sheol is NOT Gehenna. Gehenna is for the accursed and the Damned not Abraham or Moses.
The waiting in the spiritual wilderness is the best explanation of "purgatory" I can think of right now.
      Thanks for listening and remember Revelation 21 :17 & 1 Cor 3:15 especially verses 10-15. ----
the word hell means Hades or Sheol, the collective abode of the dead, divided into Paradise or Abraham's Bosom--the state of God-fearing souls--and Gehenna, the state of ungodly souls. Thus the descent into hell suggests that the Son of God carried the sins of the world to hell; or the Son of God carried Good News of deliverance to the godly dead such as Lazarus the beggar and the repentant thief.
Christ says in Matthew that, like Jonah, he would be in the belly of the earth for 3 days. Acts tells us Christ remained on earth for 40 days before He ascends. So there were 43 days BEFORE Christ went to Heaven. Did the good thief go ahead of the Lord to make sure the lights were on for His arrival? Or, more likely, Paradise that Christ mentions, is Abrahams Boosom. The place where the prisoners Christ preached to in 1st Peter were awaiting the Messiah😂😂

The words of the first part of the Hail Mary are words addressed to her by the angel Gabriel and her relative Elizabeth. The second part is merely a request for the mother of God to pray for us.
      But most important of all: the whole point (the context) of the Hail Mary is not Mary but the incarnation of Jesus. Without the incarnation, we would have no Our Father. If Jesus had not taken flesh in her womb, we would necver have heard of her. So whenever we pray the Hail Mary, we are professing our faith in Jesus, the Word made flesh. As she said to Elizabeth, her soul magnifies the Lord;
everything about her speaks of God.😎😎
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Luke 1:29 "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." (Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee)
Luke 1:38 "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." (blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus)
1 Corinthians 7:34 "An unmarried woman or a virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy in both body and spirit." (Holy Mary)
Luke 2:6-7 "6 While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn son." (Mother of God)
2 Corinthians 1:11 "as you help us with prayer, so that thanks may be given by many on our behalf for the gift granted us through the prayers of many." (pray for us sinners now)
Matthew 10:22 "but whoever endures to the end will be saved". (and at the hour of our death. Amen.)
I don't think you would disagree with me on the Lord's Prayer, Glory Be, and the Apostle's Creed, but if you do, then tell me :0)
By the way ignorant one The vain, repetitious prayer Jesus warned about was the type of prayer described in
      1 Kings 18:26-28:
      Quote:
“And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.”
The pagans would call upon the name of their gods over and over until they got the god to respond. If their god responded, it made the shaman or holy man a big shot, capable of calling the gods down from heaven. That's the "vain" part. The "repetitious" part is not the problem. Jesus prayed the same prayer three times in the Garden. The angels in heaven endlessly repeat "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME." Now that's repetitious prayer, but it's pleasing to God. Just like the Rosary. Keep on prayin'!

The reason and necessity of Purgatory
      =====================================
The Bible informs that God is a God of Justice and allows no favouritism.
God also commanded - not suggested - our love for God and Neighbour.
Sin has 2 effects - human and divine.
If I break your window, I obviously sin against you - human.
I also sin against God -divine - who commanded me to not do it - Love of Neighbour
For sin to be wiped clean, I must do 2 things.
One is to repair/compensate you sufficiently - human justice.
Secondly, I must confess my sin - divine justice.
If I only do one, then my sin remains. So if I only confess my sin of your broken window, then I will be required to spend time in Purgatory. This is because Jesus' Commandment of Love of God and Neighbour has consequences when not fulfilled, and a = debt of love = results. For my repentance will not make God come down and repair your broken window - God will expect and demand me to do the repair/ or compensate you sufficiently
Thus, in Matthew 5:25-26, Jesus warned that a debt of love against non-reconciliation would result in Prison - which Catholics name as Purgatory - UNTIL last-penny Divine Justice is satisfied. And in Matthew 18:32-35, Jesus warned that The Father will - in anger - send to the torturers UNTIL the debt of love caused by unforgiveness will occur. Here in Matthew 18:2-35, Jesus was spelling out that God will readily forgive our repented/confessed sins against God - I cancelled your entire debt - but will readily punish us for our trespasses against neighbour. And that is why, if we don't repair our trespasses against neighbour, God declares in Hebrews 10:30, - Vengeance is mine, I will repay.
Moreover, Jesus declared in Matthew 6:14-15, 'If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Can you tell me what will happen if I break your window and don't repair it - will the Heavenly Father send me to Hell ????
Non-Catholics/Protestants believe that Jesus incarnated to take away ALL sin - including future sins, and that their names are already recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life whereby their direct Heavenly entry is guaranteed without a detour to Purgatory.
Catholics, on the other hand, believe that Jesus incarnated as a man to live sinlessly and die and thereby pay the penalty of Adam's sin - which was laid on each of his descendants, You and Me and all future unborn , which is Original Sin - and which closed the gates of Heaven. And that Baptism is a one-time - Grace - event which wipes all prior sins, but we are responsible for all sins after Baptism as exemplified by God's " execution " of Ananias and Sapphira from the 1st Christian community for just dishonesty and lying - Acts 5.
Protestants/Non-Catholics, sadly, have ignored these facts and mistakenly believe that God - the God of Justice and no Favouritism - has changed from OT times whereby He severely punished sinners - even a 70 year Babylonian captivity to His Chosen people which is a proto-type of Purgatory whereby God sends into exile for a period of time, before He will allow them into Heaven.
Yet God is still the same - He hates sin, always has, always will.
Remember, that most of our sins are trespasses against others So if I continue to break your windows, and God continues to forgive me unconditionally - then God will be continually Unjust to you. However, the Bible tells us that God is Justice and has no favourites.
And Matthew 18:32-35 confirms that the Heavenly Father will readily forgive our - repented - sins against God, but will in anger send us for punishment to the Torturers, our sins against neighbour - UNTIL - the debt of Love has been repaid.
The thief on the cross satisfied Human justice by his death by crucifixion. And when he reconciled with Jesus, he satisfied divine justice and was thus promised Paradise. The other thief also satisfied Human justice by crucifixion, but not Divine justice and thereby was not also promised Paradise.
(( End of Part 1. Note Part 2 will be posted below ))

@@SheepofChrist818 Every Catholic doctrine is in complete harmony with Sacred Scripture.
      The Papacy

@@iThinkBiblically You appear to have a misunderstanding of what the Word is. The Word is Christ. He gave the apostles the authority to teach His Word, infallibly. ALL the taught was the Word. Oral and Written.

A lecturer in church history comments: “As is known, in the New Testament the word ‘pope,’ or the relative substantivization ‘papacy,’ never occurs. The only dominant figure is Jesus of Nazareth; among the disciples, and particularly among the apostles, it is very problematic to recognize on the basis of the texts, a figure that emerges above all others. Without a doubt, Peter is presented as one of the apostles Christ spoke to more frequently, even though not the only one nor the most significant one.”
What did the early Christians believe? “In the early centuries, no doctrinal elaboration or pragmatism exists for the figure and the functions of the pope.”
When did the doctrine of the papacy take root? “During the episcopate of Leo I (5th century), that the concept of Peter’s ‘Princedom’ among the apostles, founded on Matthew 16:18 was developed. One finds in the New Testament NO INDICATION by Jesus concerning the successors of Peter or of the other apostles.”

Well guess what ? In "college" I studied much ancient history and became an atheist!
I started thinking for myself after the Church of Christ preacher told me to stop asking questions because I was bound for HELL!
My Uncle was a Methodist PhD So, after the Vietnam years, I read his books and studied all of his stuff. Then, I went to catechism class under two Catholic Priest's . Then I went to a monastery and met a Jesuit Priest from India who was formerly a Hindu.
I was confirmed and have been a happy Catholic for now over 40 years. Yes, sometimes a person needs sound teaching after believing in bad theology!

Every organization and family has a God appointed authority and leader. The Old Testament is full of them. Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David, ect. Not to mention the high priests and kings. Peter was the obvious leader of the apostles. His home was even a headquarters for Jesus’s ministry. Pope simply means papa in Latin and pappas in Greek which means father. Paul also refers to himself as a spiritual father. Since Peter was the leader of the apostles, wouldn’t that make him the leader of the fathers? I also think the Jewish Foundation Stone in the Temple is a really interesting thing to look into when discussing Jesus’s declaration of “upon this rock I shall build my church.”

@@bridgefincan you find the word Trinity in the scriptures?
These verses should be enough evidence to support the sufficiency of scripture to lead us to Christ.
      2 Timothy 3:14-17
[14]But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
[15]and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
[16]All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
[17]so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
      Hebrews 4:12
[12]For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
      Romans 10:17
[17]So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
      Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”
      2 Peter 1:19-21
[19]We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
[20]Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.
[21]For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
      1 Corinthians 15:1-4
[1]Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
[2]By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
[3]For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
[4]that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
      Romans 12:2
[2]Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
      2 Peter 3:15-16
[15]Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.
[16]He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
      1 Corinthians 2:9-13
      [9]However, as it is written:
      “What no eye has seen,
      what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived” -
the things God has prepared for those who love him-
[10]these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
[11]For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
[12]What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
[13]This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
      2 Corinthians 10:5
[5]We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
      John 17:17
[17]Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
      Deuteronomy 8:1-3
[1]Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors.
[2]Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
[3]He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
      Matthew 4:4
[4]Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
      Matthew 24:35
[35]Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
      1 Thessalonians 2:13
[13]And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

The word "pope" does not appear in the Bible; neither does the word "trinity". But the concepts for both are found therein. Here's the backstory:
The title "Pope" comes from the Greek word "pappas" or the Latin word "papa," which means "father." It was initially used as a term of respect for all bishops and priests. However, over time, it became specifically associated with the Bishop of Rome, who is considered the successor of Peter, to whom Jesus entrusted the leadership of the early Christian community.
While the term "Pope" itself may not be explicitly found in the Bible, Catholics believe in the authority of apostolic succession and trace the authority of the Bishop of Rome back to Peter, whom Jesus appointed as the rock upon which He would build His Church (Matthew 16:18-19).
And before anyone claims we should "call no man father", we should slow down and think.
Based on a literalist reading of Mt 23:8-10, many non-Catholics claim that the Catholic Church violates the scriptural prohibition against calling anyone “father” since its priests are commonly called “father” and the pope is referred to as the “Holy Father.” If these people were consistent, they would not call anyone “doctor” (which comes from the Latin word for “teacher”) or “mister” (which is a form of “master”). How many Protestant pastors are proud of their doctorate degrees and go by that title?
Jesus often used hyperbole when teaching. For example, He declared, “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell” (Matt. 5:29, cf. 18:9; Mark 9:47). Christ certainly did not intend this to be applied literally, for otherwise all Christians would be blind amputees! (cf. 1 John 1:8; 1 Tim. 1:15).
In Mt 23, Jesus is not forbidding us to call men “fathers” who actually are our fathers-either literally or spiritually. He is warning us against inaccurately attributing a particular kind or degree of fatherhood to those who do not have it.

A cursory reading of the New Testament doesn’t say anything about ‘Scripture alone,’ FYI. Christ never told anyone to write everything down, at least nothing that is recorded, ironically enough. And if logic serves correctly, the first Christians practiced their faith for centuries without anything written down- so what did they use? Could it have been tradition - tradition that included bishops and a lead bishop in ROME? Writings from some of the earliest Christians said that yes, this was the case. Either you are totally ignorant of this, lying, or both. Also, Peter and Paul definitely died in Rome. Protestants fail to use even basic logic when formulating arguments, once again
