Need help! I set up exactly the same way with my iPhone, lighting and HDMI adapter and my new portable monitor. They synced and I can see the iPhone screen on the monitor. Only problem is that when I tried to watch TH-cam, I see error and I cannot run a TH-cam video. When I unhook my iPhone with the adapter, TH-cam video works. For some reason connecting my iPhone with the adopter creates the problem to see TH-cam video. The same thing happened with my Crunchyroll anime app. Any idea why this is happening?
I was so scared because i bought one to use it with my electric guitar adapter to see it on a display and head some people say it wouldn’t work without the charging cord plugged in but after watching your video im not scared anymore😅

Is it a common issue for it to not work for some apps? I get the volume but no picture for the new faith network movies but I have no problems with fb videos or Apple TV movies
Great review. Instead of plugging in charger cable into the adaptor lightning socket, can we plug in an apple wired earphone with lightning jack? I am thinking of buying so when I do my Zoom / Microsoft Teams meeting, my colleagues will appear bigger (on the monitor instead of iphone ipad), but i still prefer to use the headset rather than hearing their voices through the monitor. Hope this makes sense. Thank you

My friend had one of these apparently the 16.1 update killed most of these adapters. They don't work anymore . Typical Apple. I got one of these on my Samsung to play emulator games on the tv works fine.
I got mine today but I have lag that is not working properly. Also it doesn't fill the entire display, colors doesn't look good and is stuck in 4 3 not 16 9 on the monitor.
I didn't notice any! I only played a little though, so I don't wanna say you are for sure not going to have any lag. I can just tell ya that I didn't notice any during my quick gaming session ~B

According to Apple, this adapter "supports mirroring of what is displayed on your device screen - including apps, presentations, websites, slideshows, and more - to your HDMI-equipped TV, display, projector, or other compatible display in up to 1080p HD." So unfortunately, it is not 4k compatible, but you're still able to view content in great quality! I hope this helps! cnl

TH-cam might block it for some reason? I need to try again as I can't remember if it works with YT or not!

Are there any cheaper knock offs that work too? Like playing Hulu, Netflix other than the Apple version?
I have not tried a knock off yet to be able to recommend any. I'm sure they are some out there somewhere!
Only certain adapters will work with limitations, I use j5create usb c to HDMI adapter for my cellular iPads and so for Disney plus does not work.
