Little tip: To keep the blueberries from sinking to the bottom, lightly dust them with flour before adding to the cake batter. I love the combination of lemon and blueberries!

@sunflowergrl79asmr86 , during covid, I saw a recipe for lemon blueberry cake. All of my blueberries sank to the bottom. It was still delicious, but I didn't like that the blueberries went to the bottom. So, between Google, and TH-cam, I found a fix. Smiley face here.

It's not like I've never burned a cake...one time I accidentally broiled a cake. But for that slightly blackened lemon cake I woulda sliced right across the top of the burned cake, just give it a lil haircut then cover that naked top with plenty of whipped cream. Fixie Fixie.

Looks Great!!! I remember back in the 1970's everyone was adding a box of pudding to their cakes mixes. It makes it more moist. I will have to try making it like you did. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

The pudding in the whipped cream is a good idea if you're going to pipe it or use it as frosting. The pudding would help stabilize it.

Every now and then I put about a 1/4 cup of sour cream too. Doesn't change anything just adds moisture.

I heard the cake mixes are not what they used to be as far as quantity. If you add 1/4 cup of flour, you will get the larger quantity, and it doesn't mess with your quality of cakes.

Heyyy K. You Really Know How To Put Food Together Quick. The Best Way To Stop Cakes From Sticking To Metal Pans Is To Buy A Can Of Oil/Flour Mixture. Can't Think Of The Name Right Now, But It's Well Known. Also, Before The Modern Way. They Use To Oil The Pan. Then Put Flour Around In The Pan Called Dusting The Pan Because You Turn The Pan And Dust It Around With The Flour And Take Your Hand And Hit The Pan To Get The Extra Flour Out. The Cake Will Not Taste Like Flour. I So Enjoy Watching You Rave And Hit The Counter. I Have A Couple Friends Who Hit The Counter With You. Lolll. Keep Cooking Girl. Great Job

I NEVER use silicone baking pans for my food. I don’t trust it releasing chemicals when heated. I do what makes me happy. 🤗
If you cut the corner of parchment paper in your square pan, will fit better and easier to left out

Yeah you can save it add a little milk beat it a but moire also if it curdkes keep beating it will separate dump the liquid then you'll have a sweet butter for cakes etc or add brandy you'll have brandy butter
To get the blueberries to spread out throughout the cake put some of the cake powder form on the berries to coat, then fold them in

I have used cake mixes in this manner for years. But I think I am much older than you. Have you tried a stick of melted butter, 2 eggs, a cup of heavy whipping cream, and an 8 ounce package of softened cream cheese combined. Bake in prepared lasagna pan at 300° for 35 to 40 minutes. Check after 25 minutes to make sure your oven temperature is correct. You can add a canned pie filling on top before baking. It makes a very dense bar cake. Top with whipped cream or cool whip. I also use cake mixes to make various cookies. I also have cats in my kitchen. They "talk" me through new recipes!😹😹😹

I DONT THINK THAT THE CAKE WAS BURNED , I THINK THAT SOME OF THE BLUEBERRIES, ... SETTLED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CAKE AND WERE COOKED RIGHT THERE,., CAUSING THAT BURNT - LIKE APPEARANCE. Strawberry Bundt Cake: Cooked too fast, which resulted in the outside overcooked and inside undercooked. You need to adjust the temperature, too. Or your oven need a new baking coiled implement. I humbly appreciate you sharing. My Mom (50s-90s) prepared boxed cakes using the same hacks you have used.
