The fruitless fig tree

18 And when he returned to the city in the morning, he was hungry;
19 And when he saw a fig tree by the side of the way, he drew nigh unto it, and found none other than leaves: and said unto him, Let no fruit be born of thee.
And the fig tree withered immediately.
20 When the disciples saw it, they asked in amazement, 'How did the fig tree immediately wither away?
21 But Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not do only that which was done to the fig tree, but even, if ye say unto this mountain, Arise, and cast thyself into the sea
, this will be done;
22 And whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
