      He didn’t just predict in 2014 the Astros would win the World Series he also predicted it would happen in 2017 ! Think of the odds against that happening 3 years in advance but also saying about a team that had never won a World Championship in franchise history. No cake walk either. They earned it against 3 of the traditional greatest franchises in history. What a great year for all of those that followed this franchise through so many disappointing years. I was at the first game the Astros ever played when Astrodome opened in 1965. Sad my dad wasn’t alive to see this. He loved watching them.

      Josh Blake wait a minute! Just a second. Look, how it played out was that the Astros would’ve lost the series in six games without Marwin’s homer. I think what I meant to say was in that moment had we lost, we would be down 2-0. But in now way would the series be over because we could’ve won three straight at home. Of course, Marwin’s HR increased our chances of winning because we won game 2 and evened the series. But just because a team would be down 2-0 does not mean the series over. Sorry it took me this long to respond. But I would hope you ease up on that statements there. But yes, looking back with how it played out, Marwin’s homer saved the series.

Can clearly see how much power he puts in and how he trained his body when and how to transfer all the power. Amazing player. Astros fan here. Let's all be honest the Astros were meant to win this WS for the mere fact that they won the most exciting ones. If the dodgers would have won those games and still lost i would admitted that the dodgers should have won.

    Great selection of clips to showcase the offense and some of the defense through beating Boston, NY, and LA... only thing I'd for sure have added:
    Show Springer missing the diving catch in center field while game 5 was still tied 7-7 (which allowed a run to score on what was scored a triple) just before coming up to bat and hitting that homer to tie it back up at 8-8 (the homer was shown, ofc, but not the defensive miscue).
    That combo of a stab at the ball that failed and making up for it with a solo HR the very next half-inning was truly something to see. Instant redemption.

    • @gfox9295
      @gfox9295 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, technically per the title it's a "look back at", not wins or losses/highlights or lowlights, but presumably supposed to show a summary of the whole picture.
      And George Springer has said that of all the HRs he hit, that one was the sweetest BECAUSE of his mistake in center field the previous half-inning. So you're not getting the full picture of the triumph of that moment, to add back a run to his side after he cost his team a run like 10-15 minutes earlier.
      That's drama, that's great narrative. You couldn't write it better in a fictional storybook.

    • @tractorback76
      @tractorback76 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That Homer was the definition of the term "red ass". Springer was so pissed for missing that he swung out of his cleats. He didn't even feel that ball he crushed it so bad.
