I lived in this city when I was a child with my parents and siblings, left Bologna in 1969 to come to Melbourne Australia. I went to revisit Bologna in 2006. There is no other city that can be compared with. Hope one day I will return and spend some time there again.
this is where I was born and I had to move in my ''natal'' country when I was 6,I am nearly 13 now.I miss Bologna so much,I would do anything to go back.I remember all the streets, all the places, everything that was shown in this video =(
Bologna is another Italian Jewell, not as overwhelmed by tourists as Florence, Verona etc but just as interesting. Definitely on my next Italian visit list. They could get rid of that ridiculous “Disney” train !
I love this! Everything seems so intentional. As if showing us somewhere that you know very well. Really appreciate this! I’ve been waiting for a Bologna walking tour, I have a good friend there.
Canada great country i ve been going to Ontario twice a year for the last 12 years - - leafy neiboroughd, quite streets, civilised and respectful manners - but its always very windy down by the lake, and the winters are very long - -
This city has a lot of story ......All city in Italy has story ,, but I think Bologna Roma Florence this 3 city 🌃 of italy 🇮🇹 is the best for architecture and history,, the most beautiful girl in Italy 🇮🇹 I think is in Rome
Sorry but I have to disagree. Bologna's colonnades are the longest in Italy and in the world, with a total distance covering almost 40 kilometres. Probably one of the few city in the world that you can enjoy even if outside is raining. Moreover, rainy days in Bologna give to the city a unique atmosphere IMO. Bests!
@@sodaresoda I live here in Bologna and yes, colonnades are very useful during rainy days and give to the city a unique atmosphere, but in my opinion in rainy days the city is too dark and grey and it can't reflect its beautiful warm red color of the buildings. But it's a matter of taste of course.
No ! A city is not only its streets. I expected monuments to be shown, information about what we were seeing, some interiors. Just like your “Orvieto” or even “Assisi”. Nevertheless, thank you.
How could you miss a front view of San Petronio, the city's patron and an iconic unfinished basilica??? thumb down , btw u missed a lot of other things too like Santo Stefano square and the "tombe of glossatori", it seems you just walking around randomly without knowing the city before.
For some reason TH-cam popped this up as if i hadn't watched it before though i know i had - and yup, shows my thumbs down - tried watching again but i prefer "walking" videos that emphasize pedestrian traffic as opposed to automobile traffic (along with the shops and the occasional historical building) which apparently the recorder prefers - if another thumbs down was possible....
I have now watched quite a few of your videos. If the entire point is to mindlessly walk through the world's cities without showing a street sign for a "starting point", no map of the intended walk and just looking straight ahead, good.. But what's the point? Showing us sidewalks? Other people walking beside or in front of you? You never turn and show us the shop windows and the only time we see what is across the street is when you are waiting for a street light to change. You need to improve yourself. EPIC FAIL.
The author of this video was in Bologna, but did not see it. Bologna looks like a Muslim woman with a closed face. She peers between the columns of endless galleries, like eyes under a handkerchief. But still it is not clear how the author managed to bypass all the interesting?
Nothing but graffiti and rundown streets, old houses in need of a good face-lift - - the only good thing common to other small cities in Italy is that they are mostly pedestrianise and cyvle friendly
Lovely and beautiful city, we love it.
It is a must visit.
Great video :)

Why you left bologna in 1969? That period was the golden age of italy
@@bloodpo-rn_0215 the golden age Was in 80s
It saves you a lot of time. Instead if going there and find out you don't like it, you can watch a review via a video like this. Keep it up!
Wonderful place went there 2018 & 2019 fell in love with it this is a place which will be in your heart for ever
My family visited this summer. We are already planning a return trip next summer. A beautiful city with a beautiful soul!
That's so cool that the streets are all made of brick or cobblestone! I mean would suck to bike on, but damn it looks so nice!
it's also a great place to be based if exploring northern italy as it's only a short train ride to Padova, Ferrara and Ravenna..
Bologna, its porticoes (the longest in the world...) are beautiful, but also very useful especially when raining, as you can see on the footage.
Bologna = SUPERCAR,DUCATI,IPERCAR
Ma favorite city is Olbia Sardinia 🇮🇹th-cam.com/video/CF66tRsGHkk/w-d-xo.html

I get your critique but you could be a lot more nicer. These are meant as walking videos, not to show viewers different sites.

Back streets are definitely ugly and dirty __what's wrong with italians scribbling every street and on every door __?? Bella Italia certainly not
Clean up the ugly graffiti
