ZOJILA TUNNEL has been a long pending demand of people of KARGIL. It was promised, auctioned, and rendered many times, but failed to takeoff. Last time IL&FS won the auction, but the company itself got bankrupt. Let's hope this time it's not just hype. HUMAN SIDE importance of this tunnel would be, it will provide 365 day connectivity of KARGIL to the rest of the country, which hintherto remain disconnected to outside world for 6 winter months.
