Mr. Hippler: The issue of LGB reload is tied into a greater pan-Warno problem of bomb reloads. A 200 kilogram bomb takes the same time to reload as a 500 kilogram bomb, which in turn takes the same time to reload as a 1500 kilogram television bomb as seen on the Su-24. Normalization of bomb reloads: e.g. keep 500kg at 30s, 200kg to 15s, 1500kg to 45s, would largely nullify this issue. It is however vital that the fact that anything above a 500kg bomb is going to 1-shot a tank anyway be taken into account, so that larger bombs which have minimal practical gain in effectiveness do not suffer unduly. They should also look into fixing bomb spreads while they're at it, the blast radius of 200kg bombs is absolutely atrocious, which with the poor reload further compounds their uselessness. Stingers absolutely murdering planes is in fact accurate to real life observations, both in current conflict and in the Soviet mission in Afghanistan from which 56y hails. It is notable that during the period of the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan, orders to Soviet pilots were to stay above an altitude of 2500 meters at all times to avoid getting stingered. This fact this denied the Soviet ground forces in most cases of accurate close air support, allowing the Afghans much greater levels of success than they otherwise would have experienced.
@@hippiehippiehippiehippie What could be cool is a "change altitude" option for planes, and allow them to fly high enough to be outside of Stinger range, so your bombers are basically immune to manpads, but CAS planes that make a low level dive could still have a period of vulnerability to them.
Good game, lots of cool plays from both players. About what you were saying, the MANPADS balance doesn't get a ton of discussion but it's one of the first thing you notice in grindy infantry heavy games (which is 99% of 1v1 ranked games anyway). I'm still mad that the Javelin LML can't go into buildings anymore but 14 man squads with recoilless rifles blasting away do just fine. And yeah I look forward to your list of issues if you end up making that a video.

Hmmm I think a game of you vs an absolut beginner could be interesting as a tutorial piece Like what are common misconceptions, deck mistakes or opener fails a new player would easily fall into? I wouldnt consider myself brand new but I have played less than 10 games and I feel Im doing things wrong on a way earlier level than in the battle itself xD
Eugene did everything to ruin a noobs day, it's basically impossible to play with default settings, you can't select units and even when you could their icons teleport across the map randomly
