We can say then that it is the lack of consistency in the harmonies, right? With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain long period of time. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime vocals, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song... INCREDIBLE!! The new rock masters: The Warning. For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many reactions from you to my favorite band of all time. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️
We all think the world of Pau. She is a wunderkind and musical genius. As good on piano as she is on drums. Writer, composer, singer, drumeos rock drummer of the year 2023, she is on fire winning so many awards and accolades. Her sisters are no less impressive. This band is bursting with talent. Ridiculous.
Pau said on her latest interview (in Spanish) with Javier Paniagua that piano is her favorite instrument, her “soul sister”, she has a special connection with it. th-cam.com/video/JMyXMIJM_eU/w-d-xo.html
Hey Shawka! To say these sisters are special is an understatement. Pau is a musical prodigy in her creativity with songwriting and lyrics, as well as being he most expressive, entertaining and talented singing drummer I have ever seen. Ale is a superb Bass player that is also blessed with perfect pitch. She is also a human metronome. Mostt bands will keep their time from the drummer, but The Warning stays in time with each other from Ale's bass. She is very shy and does not sing loud like her sisters, but, as you saw and heard, the harmonies make her a very impostant part of their vocal performance. And Dany is friggin' Wonder Woman! She manages to play rhythm and lead guitar and engage and play with the crowd, while also being one of the best female rock vocalists in the world today! AND, they all manage to do this with no ego. They never try to upstage one another or show off. They always try to make sure they make their sisters sound better. Even seeing these live videos does not capture how amazing they are LIVE! They take the stage and OWN it from the first note. They instantly involve the crowd and turn their shows into a big party! And watching them play and sing together is like watching fish swim or birds fly, it's what they are born to do! Future Legends!
Man, reading you is like reading a biography of each one of them, some times the more I read comments likes yours that more I feel like a mediocre fan of Warning... But I love to read this kind of comments... excellent!!
Dany tells the story of when Pau stopped her - in the middle of a grocery store in Canada - and dropped the whole idea for this song on her in a flurry of inspiration, including both the song's lyrical and musical concepts, as well as the main melody. Pau is a prodigy musician and songwriter.
Pau is a musical genius. I mean at 13 she wrote the song "Black Holes" about addiction. What does a 13 yo know about addiction? I think she's also an empath.
The Warning's style has been forged over 10 long years of hard work and fearlessness. You can hear one of their tracks by accident and know it's them immediately. Please keep going!
Pau us an extraordinary talent, bursting with creativity. But watching her with her sisters one imagines there is a need for understanding and tolerance, and love, living with a tornado.
@@ShawkaReacts If someone wants to just see the video, they can just pull up the original video. You do your thing, and we'll watch. Or not, if someone decides it's not their thing.
I think your comment on the similarity of their voices due to genetics is spot-on. None of them are particularly large; Dany and Pau are within a few inches in size, and Ale - although she appears much taller in comparison, is just a tad taller at about 5'6" or 5'7" (without massive platform boots 😋) Dany and Pau in particular are rather small, at about 5'3" and 5'0" respectively. I'd guess that all their larynxes are pretty much similar in size and structure. Dany in particular is constantly training to get more "reach" and power in her voice; Pau somewhat less so and Ale apparently was born with perfect voice control along side her perfect pitch and timing... although she isn't interested in "putting herself out there" singing-wise. Most of us hope this will change with time - because when she was much younger, she had no problem belting it out when called for, and it was always wonderful to hear.
The pitch bends are a staple but not necessarily in every chorus and not always in the chorus either. The vocalizations are another common feature too giving the audience a way in. I think the most common factor though is that the songwriting is superb always. Great reactionalysis. Pau (POW!) is indeed the drummer and your pronunciation of Ale is better than 75% of reactors out there. I LOVE THIS BAND !! ✌️💖🎼
You got the names right. Pistol is a good one, I've seen Pau called A 5' stick of dynamite and fierce. Definitely genetics, siblings usually sound better with each other. Both songs you have done are from the 3rd album "Error". Since your last reaction to them, 3 more songs from the upcoming 4th album, Keep Me Fed, have dropped. Lyric videos for "Hell You Call a Dream", and the Spanish language song "Que Mas Quieres". HYCAD also had a live video released. And the newest one , just out Friday, "Automatic Sun" (studio audio over live video). Pau sings lead on some songs too, at this Teatro concert, try "Dust to Dust" from the 2nd album "Queen of the Murder Scene", and "23" also from "Error".
I find it hilarious that you started the video by stating that if we are looking for the OMG reaction this isn't the place for us. Yet you have watched 2 now and in each case, you have become that reactor. No worries. They do that to us all the time.
@@ShawkaReacts I should have been more clear. You are 100% correct and you breakdown well. While I realize subs is an important thing, don't put too much weight into crap like that, You cannot please everyone all the time. You do great. Keep it up!

They attended the same all-girl private Catholic school, so choir singing was part of their schoolwork. This is very obvious in their Official MV for "Enter Sandman" with Alessia Cara. Pau started drums at 6, and her teacher recommended she sing along as a way to keep her focus and improve her timing. When the band started touring she also started singing while on a treadmill to improve her breath control.
awesome reaction, at this venue they do a song called survive, there are 2 points in the song where their voices seem to be so insync that it makes a cool sound effect unlike anything ive heard, its jus all 3 sisters harmonizing and its like it tops off but makes some sort of sound like it went thru some twighlight zone and it happend again on the end of a song called Armour at this event where they all kept going higher until it all kinda meshed togeather into again somethjing like a twighlight zone, idk what its called but i think you nailed it on the head maybe with the harmonic thing, im sure you will get to these 2 songs in due time but thanks for bringing that up because i dont normally hear it but it sounds so supernatural or whatever its called, Im in, thanks!
There are videos where the sisters change places as who sings the song. When Dany points to Ale and says, “you sing this time.” One of Dany’s song was also done beautifully by Pau instead. During concerts Pau is said to take over when Dany needs a break.
It's not just the genetics of the vocals that makes them sound so tight, it's also the cumplicity of growing up together, of knowing what each other is thinking empathically without the need for direct communication. They naturally have what most bands have to rehearse thousands of hours to get. They literally grew into their music together, a luxury almost no bands have (with some exceptions I'm sure).
is 'pau' not the perfect nickname for our little stick of dynamite pounding the kit like it said something bad about her mom? pau ('pow') - drummer and vocals dany ('danny') - guitars and vocals ale ('ah LAY') - bass and vocals (and occasional keyboards)
All three girls can sing, although Ale (Bass Guitar) prefers to only sing background, all are classically trained pianists and are very skilled in there chosen instruments!

Thier career, so farr is from when they were 9,12 and 14 to 119, 22 and 24..... lots of gowth for all of us at tose ages.
I think their voices sound so well together for a few reasons. One they are pitch perfect. But mostly I think their timbres match up well. Pau's tone has a smoky voice that's all bottom-bass and top-treble. Ale's voice is similar but lower. Dany is all midrange and super powerful. Plus they do harmonies that aren't just major triads. They are so impressive.
Great reaction! All of their songs are like this; little changeups and differences between choruses, unexpected time changes, and something new to catch your ear throughout the song.
Floor Jansen of Nightwish and her sister Irene are another example of the natural gift of genetics. Irene is a regular with Aryeon the Dutch Prog Rock/Metal project. Floor and Irene have been involved for 2 decades.
Shawka - really nice reaction. Like how you dive deep and really explain what elements you’re hearing. Great reaction. I really appreciated you going into the harmonics and their voices. From the moment I first heard them I noticed the resonance that occurs when they sing together. It's absolutely amazing. The sisters have used the saying, sibling magic, to describe what happens when they work together. When they perform together, and sing together, it gets raised to another level.
About the voices, yup even takes my Mom a few seconds to figure out if it is me or my Brother on the phone these days, as she is getting a bit older. It amazes me how often people tell us we sound so much alike.

This is a very interesting song, I have too heard those things you point out. While I´m at it, great reaction! They do a whole lot of groundwork with their composing and arranging, making every son more (no pun) than just a song. Every performance is a experience. It´s a complete package which I don´t know of any other band that has it. It´s what makes The Warning unique. They keep us fed with only great music and energy. The reason there are "fans" whining over to poppy or to soft is TW can´t be put in a box, they do what they want to do and you never now anything else than it is going to be good.
En la actualidad no hay ningún baterista que este al nivel de Paulina la baterista mas dura y agresiva del nuevo rock ,canta, compone, toca el piano es un verdadero maestro del rock
A few months late, but just want to say I like your analytical breakdowns of the performances. Very interesting and informative. Pau has also been described as a fierce, fiery pit bull. 🤷🏻♂ And you're not the only one to yell at that obscuring hand.
When I had a fostex in the 90s... Remember those..lol. I once recorded myself, and my younger sister. When I slowed down her voice. It sounded exactly like me. When I sped up my voice it sounded like her. Somewhere in the mix when I sped myself up or slowed myself down or slowed one of us up or down, we sounded like my older sister lol It was truly uncanny. And yeah. Answering the phone in business or home over the years, people often cringily mistook me for my father.
@@ShawkaReacts- XXI Century Blood (OMV)... Pau's lyrics are so far beyond her age shoveling a message to us with pinpoint accuracy, burying us in truth. Add the superb instrumentals, jaw dropping vocals and phenomenal videography - more than a work of art - a masterpiece! 65 years into my journey... It's hard to be amazed anymore: Dany, Pau and Ale amaze me. They are a true gift for the ages. Rock on.

Pau has also been described as a fierce, fiery pit bull. 🤷🏻♂
And you're not the only one to yell at that obscuring hand.
Thank you!
🤘⚠️great reaction ⚠️🤘
❤️
Pau is indeed a pistol. Not of this earth.
Pau is easy to remember as a drummer, because Pau POWS the drums.
The Warning = Alejandra (Ale) 🎸🎤+ Paulina (Pau) 🥁🎤+ Daniela (Dany) 🎤🎸 Villarreal. Three talented Mexican sisters. !!!🎵ole ole ole oleeee Warning Warning🎵¡¡¡. Greetings from Argentina.
Nothing like blood harmonies!
When I had a fostex in the 90s... Remember those..lol. I once recorded myself, and my younger sister.
When I slowed down her voice. It sounded exactly like me. When I sped up my voice it sounded like her. Somewhere in the mix when I sped myself up or slowed myself down or slowed one of us up or down, we sounded like my older sister lol
It was truly uncanny.
And yeah. Answering the phone in business or home over the years, people often cringily mistook me for my father.
Great reaction! Pau is a pistol ❤ I love watching her play 😊
Thanks!
Rock on.
Great reaction their harmonies in the Enter Sandman video are pretty impressive you'd like that I'm sure. Thanks 🔥⚡

Hey buddy!!! Pau will make a grown man cry.... React next to the song blackholes and the song breathe from the Pepsi center concert...you'll be amazed!!!
Pau won Rock drummer of the year for 2023
Some context: she won a popularity award hosted by Drumeo against five other nominees just from the americas. No actual drumming skills were voted on.
Great reaction and analysis! Suggest their re-invention of Enter Sandman from this same show, for some more great harmonies. 😎👍
These ladies blend magnificently. The only group that I know of that may blend some better are Rebecca and Megan Lovell of Larkin Poe.
😍
Pau is more of a Bazooka...."Pauzooka"!
💥🤯🤘🎶✌️
This just dropped in time for the eclipse. Video was done in a week if i'm correct.
