What Feeding Raw to my English Bulldogs looks like

- All our English Bulldogs are fed a 100% raw food diet.
They receive a large assortment of meats, but chicken is their main staple.
They eat fish, chicken, beef, turkey, pork etc.. Dogs will eat almost any type of raw meat you offer them.
In this video we cut up the small puppies chicken into bite size pieces to avoid them choking on large pieces of chicken. For the large dogs we simply score the chicken with a knife so they can pull of chuncks of meat instead of swallowing huge pieces as well.
Dogs in this video are Lua , Kona, Warrior, Indi and ozzie.

For the commenters worried about your dog swallowing too big of pieces and choking, a cleaver chops up chicken quickly and easily. For my new pup, I use a heavy duty grinder that rough grinds a whole chicken, bones and all in a couple seconds. I grind 60-100 pounds at a time and put it in 2lb meat bags.She went from 6 lbs to 15 lbs of muscle in 2 months. I am a raw food believer for sure. Great video! Love your bullies

People get surprised when they see my lean bulldogs, most people are use to seeing fat bulldogs that have trouble breathing...The raw diet is not only physically good for our dogs, it's mentally healthy and keeps your pups excited for their meals, and are more alert with their owners.
@@WarriorBulldogs oh absolutely. The only thing is. My pup can jump high as hell now. Which he can now jump ontop of the bed lol and the bed phrames are high.
What great knife you using to cut the leg quarters for the puppies. I have a pup where is no such thing a chewing, its just swallow 🤦🏽♂️
I just use a normal knife, but I do have to replace it every so often. For the bones, I would use pliers to break them and then scratch off the sharp edges.

Good video man. your bulldogs all look fantastic! I've started my bulldog on raw chicken. I find that the longer pieces he tries to swallow too early, so I am trying to get him to chew more. Feeding raw chicken in the house can get messy so I have just resorted to cutting the pieces up. lol.

I don't at the moment, Basically you just hold them back and drop a treat in front of them, once you give the command you let them go. Do this over and over and your dog will eventually learn to stay until they hear the command.

Do you give the adults any supplements ? Like Nordic natural fish oil ? Or a multivitamin?
Nope, they receive a variety of foods including fish to cover oils. They receive Chicken, Turkey, Beef, seafood, eggs, veggies etc... With a variety you will hit all vitamins needed.
I’m about to get my first English bull dog love to feed her raw food but also regular food any age time to start feeding them raw food ? And also do they get sick do u clean the chicken? And how much chiken do I give her /?also can they eat fish

Your best bet is to check on instagram. There are tons of english bulldog owners that occasionally produce litters that you can come in contact with possibly even locally.

haha, yes lots new things happening at warrior bulldogs. We had 2 litters in 2019, kept 3 pups 1 male named warrior, he's a merle lilac tri, and 2 females which will be future mothers in about 2 years.

Yup, just daily training everytime I feed them they must sit and wait for my command. I do this daily as it makes it easy to feed them all at once.

How old are they and how many oz do you feed the puppies?
The two first puppies are 6 months old, I don't weigh their food but I already know how much each dog gets. They all eat different amounts based on size, which you can find out by watching your dogs weight, if they gain too much weight reduce the amount of food. And the other way around, if they look too skinny give them a bit more. The raw chicken usually takes 24 hours to fully digest so an adult dog is ok with 1 meal per day, best in the morning. On average though, they eat 1-1.5 pounds of meat per dog daily.

Yes, some people will freeze their food for at least 3 days to kill of any potential virus or bacteria, while others never freeze. It's personal preference.

80% chicken with bone, 15% veggies and 5% chicken liver. Adults get 1 large meal in the morning, anywhere from 1-2 pounds each. Pups 8 weeks old get 4 meals per day. This has worked for years and all dogs in great health.

English and British are the same... It's jus that majority of people are use to see overweight bulldogs. Bulldogs are heavy eaters, so when fed kibble and allowed to eat all they want, that will cause super fast weight gain leading to health issues down the road.. The raw diet as kept our pups lean, healthy and away from sickness.

I've fed raw food as young as 40 days old. For me any age works.
I have my bulldog coming home in a month. I have never seen a dog on a raw diet. Are there any negative long term side effects? I'll do my research too.
So far after 3 years of feeding 100% raw, I have had zero problems and only positive benefits from the diet.

Adult dogs get fed once per day, and young pups under 4 months get 3 feedings per day.

I started giving my dog raw meat. It's getting to the point where she doesn't want to eat the dog food (which is grain free). I have a half Pitbull half English Bulldog mix.
Indeed, my dogs too do not like store bought kibble and gives them all types of allergies if they eat any of it. Usually they know what's best for them which is why they prefer the natural raw food. Not only healthier but makes them mentally happier.

Does feeding raw help with environmental allergies?
I've personally found the raw diet to stop 99% of allergies with my pups, so i'm sure it could potentially build up their immune system strong enough to fend off other types of allergies/illness from their environment.

@@AnnalizaArteaga Sorry for the late reply, English Bulldogs definitely shed a lot especially the following days after a bath. All though with the raw food, you will notice healthier coats and a lot less dog smell. The raw food may also help with minimizing shedding since their coats will be tougher and healthier.
Brilliant mate.I'm looking around TH-cam for help.I used to have alsations and said I'd not have anything else.But I seen a British Bulldog in a small cage for sale.she'd had two litters and all her back was burned buy a heat lamp.I took a chance on her because I didn't know if she was viscous or friendly and I didn't like seeing her in a cage.I bought her on the spot.She is the most Loving dog I've ever had.We've had her 18 months now.she weighed in at 65 pounds and the vet said she needed to lose weight. Took her to the vet today cause she'd been throwing up.They have given her some tablets to see how she gets on over next 2 days.While we were there I told the vet she been on a diet for 17 months and I was please with her weight loss.The vet weighed her again and she was ......44 kilos (97)pounds. I was shocked.
My dog appears to be otherwise healthy.But now I've got to re-evaluate her diet.what would you recommend please.Thanks Regards David
I personally have the best control over my dogs weight by scheduled feedings of raw food. With raw food I know what my dog is eating, whereas with kibble we have no idea what's in there so it can cause extreme weight gain, allergies, digestive issues etc. Home cooked food/scraps and or raw food are far better than any bagged kibble we buy at the store which would make it easier to obtain an ideal weight/health for your pup.

Feeding raw food is awesome but don’t lose sight that dogs are carnivorous but also omnivorous. My two boxers love raw meat but also love cooked sweet potatoes. They need the vitamin A just like humans. They love raw meat but also love rices, sweet potatoes, and love fish. Variety is how wolves behave in nature

Like humans, individual dogs can react differently to certains foods. You can try mixing in different meats, or if it's digestion issues try a slightly cooked chicken with rice or potato.

Super healthy as long as it's done correctly with the nutrients! I have 2 dogs on raw, a 4 yr old greyhound and 1 year old rottweiler mix. Also never going back to kibble.

Nope, it's never too late. I feed my Adult dogs 1 large meal in the morning, this gives them 24 hours to fully digest the meat and bones. at 18 weeks you're looking at 2-3 meals per day.

It depends on your dog, their size, breed, how much exercise they get etc... On average a 40 pound dog will eat around 1lb -1.5lb of raw meat per day. You can either feed them 1 time in the morning or split the meal in 2 for the morning and evening.
I feed mine 1lb in the moring Nd 1lb Nd the after noon I have 4 EB I 70lb Nd the rest are 40-55lbs but I feel like I under feeding them
That's what humans should be eating too.
