I had a high school classmate with a rich Dad,who gave her senior sister then, keys to a two storey building as part of her send off present.
No matter how poor, culturally, every bride gets a send off ceremony, given according to her family's, kinsmen's, friend's finances.

Wow!!! This is really great and I love it. In my place ( Choba, Rivers State), its the bride's mum that buys all these things to send her daughter to her husband's house. All other family (not immediate family o) just come to take their share of the money and other items on the list and move on the day the bride price is paid. This is really great. Your fathers people sent you forth properly while in my own place they just come to share money and in most cases, they don't even know who is getting married o....😂😂😂😂😂
