It makes sense for Dorothy to have one final talk with Stan before she got married because Stan was a big part of her life and maybe she needed to put their romantic relationship in the past.Yeah Dorothy and Stan would always be in each other's lives because they have children but they're just friends and nothing more.
What romantic relationship? They'd been divorced for some time and they didn't sleep together, so what romantic relationship are you speaking about? I'm confused about that part. Personally, I think this scene was more for Stan, especially with how badly he treated Dorothy multiple times. He tried her money into many failed business ventures. He slept with multiple women during their marriage and even during times they were friendly with each other. He even slept with her sister, Gloria. This scene was more for him, knowing that he will never have access to her like he always did since she married Lucas and found love again.
@@TH-camReady I know they almost got back together when his 2nd wife dumped him. They slept together then. Then when he married his 3rd wife, Dorothy almost stopped it until she saw how nice the woman was. Then in one of the later seasons, they started an affair again and almost remarried until he asked her to sign a prenuptial. So even though they had been technically divorced for almost 10 years when she married lucas, they had an up and down relationship in the past 7 years.
I agree that was one of the worst wedding dresses in history. The dress she wore when she almost remarried Stan was glamorous , elegant & beautiful ( maybe too good for Stan come to think of it).
This was such a touching final moment between them.

I have an aunty that looks exactly like Dorothy and acts like Dorothy!! I'd swear they were sisters!! LOL!!
The part where she leaves to go to Atlanta is such a tearjerker!
