Before exports to the USA in the 50 or 60s, they were always Crayfish. To reduce confusion with the yanks it was changed to lobster. I believe they are still technically crays. Up there with inches feet and pounds. And ferrets per football field. Alive. Haha
Another fantastic effort. You must have felt alive when the Cray started moving around. As always you’re humble and genuine particularly about the price of the seafood in Tassie. But on a more serious note the Tasmanian Government should be paying you for supporting and promoting local businesses not charging you an outrageous fee.

Harry, it always surprised me how easy you can give food the time to cook. As most of use nowadays don’t have the patience anymore for preparing and (slow)cooking a meal. Thanks for sharing some good food and content

How good is tassie cray fish! We caught some in granville harbor, then drove to the top of Mt Huxley and they were still ALIVE. Best seafood ive ever eaten.

I've seen plenty of folk pop Cray's into a bucket of fresh water when they are "alive" and they drown pretty quick. Or to speed the cooking process boil them.

I caught a Cray at Peterborough, Victoria and put it in the Girlfriend's sleeping bag while it was still alive. Boiled it up for breakfast, didn't have any garlic butter though.

I'm with "Long", a good unwooded Chardonnay is great with garlic-butter lobster (though a good, preferably aged, complex Riesling is fine!)...
Been to Tassie twice for work so no time to tour, but I plan to hire a van an go for it and feel alive!!
