We have two female longhaired mini dachshunds. One is 6 years and one is 19 months old. Both were spayed around 9 months of age. The older one has frizzy fluffy type of long hair (like Piglet's) and the younger one has silky smooth long hair. I'm not sure that the spay plays into that as much as other people are telling you. Regardless, Piglet is so fluffy and adorable.💛
Loved the video and blogpost about the advent callendar! You should consider doing some cooking videos in this channel (I know that you did some videos elsewhere), all your meals look delicious!
I would enjoy a video on any tips you have for keeping a clean(ish) house with pets inside. I have two dogs inside (one of them a mini dachshund who looks so much like Piglet it's scary), and it's a constant battle to clean up hair, paw prints, various messes, SMELLS, etc. Also any fave pet items or other tips you have. I love the "boring days" vlogs too, and always nice to see the doggies!

Mike makes me howl.....that's what we have a bath mat for!!! He is just like my husband (old mannish) in his ways! Its hilarious but I wouldn't change my 'old man' for anything.....i just keep giggling at him, pretty much like you!!! xx
Give Piglet Brewers Yeast for her coat. It's good for many reasons and many things, actually, but the best part is, the animals (good for cats,too) love the taste and think it's a treat.
Fleur, the same happened to my dog as well, we solved the problem by having her haircut once a month or once every 6 weeks. She used to have fluff as well instead of normal dog hair, but after cutting her hair every month for around 3-4 months in a row - she now has normal curls (she is a poodle), we are pretty happy about it:) Try it, I'm sure it'll help.
neals yard remedies lavander bath salts are heavenly for relaxing or the laura mercier honey bath is lovely, I think I have the ambre one and it smells so good I could eat it.

This may be goofy but if you want a good bubble bath you have to get the Johnson lavendar bed time bath. It's the one for babies. It's awesome. I would bathe my daughter in it and the smell would make me sleepy. It's awesome.
I can totally relate, its so hard to get mad at them when they come looking for cuddles after they leave muddy paw prints everywhere! :) My dog went digging in a potato field this morning after a big rainstorm :/
Hey Fleur I'm a dog groomer and I can confirm piglets coat has changed due to being spayed unfortunately it the change in hormones, but don't worry a good groomer can sort her out! That was a very tame reaction to the dogs being on both beds... I would have lost it if I came in the find dirt all over my bed just as I was going to get in. Those dogs would have flown off the bed as soon as they had seen me coming (if they were mine). Luckily my dog is too old and lazy to be able to get on my bed anymore.
I know but if you don't want your dogs on the piece of furniture you can't just film them being on it lol I would have told my dog to get off right away. It's ok its not my furniture or my dogs in the end
I know, right? I am so sad also. Through her vlogs i got a glimpse of how it is to live in the charming england country side. I will sure miss that atmoshphere of cousyness, but i wish them all the best. And i m also curious to know where they will live next.
Leonie I have three Tibetan spaniels, very long hair and as long as you brush them everyday it's fine, but yes if you don't have time for that they do shed quite a lot!
Springer spaniels drop hair like mad and theres not really anything you can do about it. Daily brushing helps but the house will still be completely covered in white hair and they get everywhere plus you cant groom a springer like squidge with clippers because their double coats shouldnt be cut. Get a cockapoo, they dont shed.
Leonie Im only saying it how it is because when i was looking for a gun dog, i was torn between a springer spaniel or a cocker spaniel. My mums a clean freak and we'd never had a dog before so i thought i checked to see which one shed and thought springers didnt. Well its been 2 years since we've had my springer and of course now realise that their white hairs get everywhere! Wish someone had told me when i was looking but oh well, worked out better because we wouldnt swap him for anything

We love our dogs and share bed space *gasp* but we also want a clean bed and somedays it is a struggle with king size bedding to wash constantly lol.

You should try Cowshed horny cow bath oil, dreadful name, but fab oil with rose absolute, patcholi, vanilla and cinnamon. Such a lovely autumn scent.

Fleur, loving the vvlogs this month. Have you tried Vita bath. Its a lovely bath gel, but you can use it as a bubble bath as well. I love it.
