I have two budgies and they will NOT eat fruit or vegetables. Once I placed a grape near my budgie, and it was so freaked out by it. I tried holding some lettuce near one of my budgies, but he only nibbled a little, but not enough to get him to bite. I hope to get them to eat at least one vegetable, because their diet is currently 100% seed :( Edit: thank you for all the suggestions guys. This is awkward to inform but all of them died( I got a 3rd in May 2018), one from disease and the other 2 from unknown causes.
If you don't care for cutting up fresh produce all the time, try Lafeber's nutriberries - classic for budgies. It gives them nearly 100% nutrition with the same consistency of a seed diet but it's perfectly lab balanced to substitute for fruits and veggies. It's one of the best diets you can give pet birds, next to a 70% pellet + fresh fruit and veggy diet but the downside is that it's expensive. But hey at least you dont have to buy fresh produce all the time for them! And it's waaaay healthier than seed diets.

Also cooked quinoa is a great way to transition from seed to veggie! it gets them used to more "wet" and freshly prepared foods, and I found that my bird was much more willing to eat veggies after I have been feeding her quinoa. Also it's best to offer new foods first thing in the morning when they are the hungriest

I’m still taming my birds. And Romain lettuce is better than iceberg lettuce. My turtles can eat Iceberg but it doesn’t contain as much nutrition. Yes, I do have turtles.

They think fruit and the veggies has poison in it so they die and I eat em 😓 they think the foods are made of budgie meat or budgie blood when I drink ;-; and yes they are scared from me. So wait for 2 weeks for them to like you, while 2 weeks are going on, move your finger around the cage and open the door of it and put your finger next to them but don't move it, when 2 weeks are done, start trying to let them go out the cage but inside the house, close all your windows AND doors for it to go inside the house, that time you can pet it and hold it✨💗😊

My budgie loooves to have an apple slice, lettuce and most of all: chickweed. He starts to tumble and chirp with excitement when he spots me with chickweed walking towards his cage. ;) He ist a teal and white budgie and is completely green around his beek when finished with his beloved chickweed. :D That looks very cute.
I got my budgie (kiwi) in February. So far everything is going really well and he’s very tame all. The only thing that I’m concerned about if his diet. I buy him expensive food that is full of all the necessary nutrients, but he is really picky when it comes to vegetables. So far I’ve only ever seen him a very small piece of carrot, but even at that I’m unsure if he did because he might have just thrown it out of his cage.
I'm definitely gonna try the roman lettuce approach! My bird is a little.. skiddish, but maybe he'll enjoy investigating and nibbling on something new.

I have had a blind budgie for 5 years and have had trouble getting him to eat any veggies or fruits. I recently got another budgie to keep him company and she doesn’t eat veggies either. I’m gonna try some ideas from this video to get her to eat veggies! I want to get a bird and my parents agree with it I've done app my researched and I've narrowed it down to 2 birds, a cockatiel or a budgie which one recommend for me I go to school for 6 hours a day and i don't want a lot of noise but I also want a friendly cuddly family pet
cockatiels and budgies are both very cuddly, my preference would be a budgie but if you dont stay at home a lot then you should get two

ALEN PLEASE MAKE A VID ABOUT WHATS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR BIRDS! My bird got stuck in tape 18 mins ago, it was my fault for not knowing it was there. I got it out now with water, there was a lot of biting but it was worth saving her.
Can you do a video about how to teach your budgie to fly to you or do you all ready have one?
My cockateil is obsessed with broccoli and since shes obsessed she has gotten my budgies to eat it aswell I haven't had luck with much more than that
