Being a CB350Hness owner ( in India ) i can boldly say you can’t go wrong this bike. Right power , right weight , right cost for a city ride or an occasional weekend breakfast run.

@@AniruddhaVasudeva-ez8oqDepends on the use. It is not a sports bike but reaches 120 km/h. And the long stroke of the engine provides a lot of torque at all revs. Tried the RE Classic 350 with similar figures and it was pretty satisfying. By the way, I own a XSR900.

@@AniruddhaVasudeva-ez8oq It's compared with its segment not with any sports naked bike.. a 200c naked is faster than these... but anyone who knows about bike will prefer Honda over RE.

How tall are you? I'm 192cm., 6,3' had to raise the seat on my Transalp 650 even. I feel my knees will be touching my ears on this bike.😊
Powerwise, more than adequate, top speed in the Netherlands is 100 kmh during the day anyway🤷🏻‍♂️
      It's not a track/autobahn bike.
Looks good/retro style and you get Honda reliability for RE money.😉

In India this came in 2 variants when launched around 3 years ago, Honda Highness CB350 & Honda RS (which is the GB350S seen in this video).
H'ness CB350 is straight seating position (like the RE Classic 350), whereas GB350S is lean forward.
My 2yrs, 8months & 30000km ownership experience for those interested in this bike in UK:
    1. An absolute beauty! Way more refinement levels than the RE. Zero issues till now, except the age related part changes
(I was in the market for RE Meteor350 but happy that I settled with the CB350)
    2. 0 vibes. I ride agressive, both in city & highways. On the highways I am always in the 115-125kmph bracket and it rides solidly. Have clocked 130kmph + couple of times and it is still rock solid.
    3. Power of 21HP looks less for UK roads, but once past 100kmph one can cruise, until you want to go at breakneck speed always! Downshifting to 3rd or 4th gear based as needed for overtaking/passing will easily get the job done, even on the UK roads (I assume so).
    4. Tall gearing needs more gear changes but I got used to this in a couple of weeks, and dont even realise about it now
    5. The Thumpy stock exhaust note is to die for
    6. Excellent maneuverability in India's tight city traffic as well
    7. Part changes/Mods:
    a. Stock brake pads changed at 20000km
    b. Stock tyres changed at 22000km, little earlier due to my agressive riding. in the UK they should last much more
    c. Chain set changed at 19500km
    d. 22mm Handlebar risers fitted for more straighter position (I am 5'11" & weigh 75kg max)
    e. Front seat changed to HD foam to get excellent comfort from the potholes/bumps here
    8. I have done multiple 500km + one day rides with no issues
    9. Overall, super happy with the ownership!
What I wish was different for Indian CB350 / Wishlist
    a. Power could have been atleast 27-28HP
    b. The 5th gear could have more power
    c. Honda could launch CB650/700 and it will be an instant hit
    For UK,
    i. In the UK, if one enjoys riding RE Classic350 types of bikes, then they will definitely fall in love with the GB350S
ii. I just googled and saw the speed limit there is 113kmph for the highways. So this bike should pull off there too, with downshifting for the overtakes/passing (I guess so)
iii. I dont know if Honda is gonna launch the GB350, the one with straight riding posture. If yes, do test ride that & the GB350S
To end it, on paper the specs definetly looks pale compared to the 650/700CC bikes, but the question is whether one always uses the top power & torque throughout the ride??? That depends on the individual.
Long story short, dont just yet rule out the bike!
Use my experience from owning this bike in India and try to extrapolate that to the UK, for taking some real output from my loooooong comment 😀

I used to own this GB350S. Adequate power for city riding up to 80km/hour, thanks to relatively big fuel tank and fuel consumption. Only issue was I need more power and torque and changed to Bonneville T120. But I still love it.

EDIT: I wrote the above while the video was nearly finished, and then you said pretty much exactly what I wrote anyway! Couldn't agree more! And I know some people will compare it with the Speed 400, but I genuinely think the ugliness of that thing is seriously under-rated!

I own the CB350RS (the indian version of this), I can say easily it is much better than the enfields in terms of refinement, performance, handling, reliability, quality and fit and finish. It sounds great stock. And top speed I have managed is 140km/h.
Also it's a serious looker of a bike too
Only con is the tall gearing for which you have to constantly shift between gears in the city and the 5th gear is an overdrive gear so it is useless below 80km/hr speed

The 471cc engine Honda produces is a liquid-cooled twin, which doesn't look anything like what belongs in a classic "GB" model, like the 350S. A GB needs to be air-cooled and, preferably, a single. Otherwise, you might as well buy a CB500 (or CL500).

As mentioned, the bike is not powerful, but it is not nearly as bad as mentioned, it has very long gears and indeed it is more of a cruise style but is sufficient to go on the highway, it is very comfortable for long rides as well, and all that is what I was looking for, my Rivale feels like riding a tiger.

Funnily Honda benchmarked the Classic 350 down to the HP and torque rating and the exhaust note! What the reviewer ignored to mention is that this is a world class RE Classic that is 10 times better quality than the bike they're copying. Only thing bringing this bike down is the very very weird gearing, at least on their India bikes. Not sure if it's the same on their export bikes but this is an extremely beautiful high quality bike which should take the Classic's cake and run with it. I just don't understand why he's not comparing it to the one bike that this beauty set out to compete with?

The Indian Hondas have a lot of quality issues like rusting bolts and wheels/spokes etc. The REs are not miles better but I'd say both are on par for the price you pay.

@@maheshpentagonship8363 Maybe on the 100-150cc commuters, you get what you pay for. I've seen three year old well-cared-for CB350s in immaculate condition, something that you can not say for REs especially the Classic and the Bullet. I have a 2020 Int650 with a lot of problems related to usage of bad quality components, the damn thing is in the shop at least 3-4 times a year. The problem with us Indians is never recognizing when we have a good thing show up in our market which is why very few world class products are a part of most auto makers' arsenal here. You can get it CKD or CBU only. Recognizing that Honda has made a superior quality classic350 and it should be applauded and let's hope Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki would make more India-specific products.

I own the Honda Highness 350 in Taiwan. In terms of power this bike is directly comparable to the Enfield 350's so no need to discus if it is "underpowered" etc This has already been discussed at length with the Enfields. If you want a bike that cruises at 100mph and does 0-60 in 3 seconds then get one. If you need a bit more speed then get the Triumph 400. However if it is city riding or chugging in style around country lanes this is more than adequate. What I can't understand is - given it is likely to appeal to the retro market, why they didn't release the Honda Highness version with chrome mudguards, exhaust and metal side panels etc. It would appeal to those who like retros but prefer 1980's Honda to 1960's Enfield. The CB350 - which is the older looking retro styled more like the Enfields probably would have less appeal but the Highness looks like bikes that current 50-60year olds rode in their youth.
